The workers' schedule was irregular, and different people were here on different days. Parts were missing or wrong. I had to call repeatedly to remind them to get correct parts. Work was shoddy and unprofessional. Parts of carpet near both doors were damaged. One door was installed incorrectly and ended up covered in mold. They said it wasn't their problem, so I contacted Marvin Windows (the brand we'd bought). They sent people over the next day and appeared stunned at how bad the installation was. The plumb line was way off. They immediately ordered new doors and within a week installed them. Although they didn't say, I got the impression they didn't trust Rum River Lumber to do the job correctly. I know I didn't. I wouldn't buy a toothpick from that place. Marvin employees, on the other hand, were professional and polite. We haven't had problems since they redid Rum River's work.
Description of Work: They sold us two sliding glass doors and installed them.

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE YOU FOR PERMITS. I CALLED THE CITY OF HAM LAKE AND RUM RIVER LUMBER HAD CHARGED ME $478. MORE THAN WHAT THE CITY CHARGED THEM!

WE HAD A FEW DIFFERENT CREWS WORKING ON DIFFERENT PROJECTS AND THEY ALL WERE HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT. PAYING FOR TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCT HELPS TOO!
