Description of Work: Our dryer became less effective at drying and eventually it stopped drying altogether (there was power and it seemed like it was working, but the clothes were still hot and damp after multiple drying cycles). I researched it online and guessed that the dryer vent was blocked somewhere. | |I chose Appliance Care because of their high rating and good reviews. They answered my call and asked me a few questions to determine if the issue was likely a blocked dryer vent. They scheduled the appointment quickly and arrived promptly on the day of service. They cleaned out the dryer vent and showed us the massive amount of lint that was trapped in the vent. The dryer worked perfectly after that. | |I will definitely use this company again for our appliance care needs. I liked how quickly they were able to come to my house.

Description of Work: I called for freezer repair. Chris offered a couple suggestion we could try . When we were unable to do what he suggested I called back to schedule service. When he realized how far I was from his location he told me it might cost less if I found someone in my area. He was professional and helpful and if I lived in his area I would not hesitate to call again for service.

Description of Work: We called Chris to repair our microwave and in-refrigerator ice maker. |The microwave is a lost cause. The ice maker needed a new valve, which Chris had to order and return to install. |He was professional, helpful and polite the entire time. |I will definitely call him again.

Description of Work: Fixed dishwasher that wouldn't drain. Cleaned up clogged drain line and dishwasher itself. Rerouted drain line to prevent future problems. Also gave us advice on cleaning and using the dishwasher. Very professional, fast and came out soon and on time.

Description of Work: They fixed my dishwasher installation, which - after 3 years - had come loose from the cabinet. I lived with this for over a year, before making the call! They did an awesome job, took less than 1/2 hour and everything works beautifully. Very polite, friendly and explained exactly why this happened and what they did to fix it.

Description of Work: Was sort of a false-alarm in that it worked perfectly when he was here. We discussed the "car doesn't make the noise at the garage" syndrome. He did provide us with options should the problem come back. Likely the stove's computer reset itself.

He was able to fix issue without scheduling a return visit. I was very pleased with his thoroughness and explanation of what caused washer to not work properly. Excellent service !

Description of Work: We have actually used Appliance Care two times in the past several months. All of our 10 year old appliances keep breaking on us. The first time we used Appliance Care was when our fridge decided to stop working. I contacted several large appliance repair companies via Angieslist. We came home to discover our fridge stopped working (of course on one of the "hot" days we've had this Spring). I left messages with at least six different companies. Appliance Care called us within 15 minutes. I was extremely impressed considering it was around 8pm on a weeknight. They told me what they thought was wrong with the fridge and said they could come out that same night. They ended up fixing our issue. The cost was very reasonable. The funny thing was I received calls from the other company's days later... really?!? I made it clear that this was an urgent call and I needed someone to contact me ASAP. I would highly recommend Appliance Care! Great work!

Description of Work: I called for a washer that didn't spin. He looked at it and tried a few things, then told me it was toast. Advised me on what kind of new washer would fit my needs. With that information I went out and bought a new washer. Unfortunately I had to pay the service call charge, but thought the information he gave me on the new machines was worth it. I would use him again, very professional, pleasant, knowledgeable.
