HISTORIC TRANSFORMATIONS

I took my items to Historic Transformation in November and knew I would get them back in the spring when we returned from Arizona. The chair and table were ready for pick-up the end of April. The four chair legs that were re-glued are great. The four chairs and table that were refinished turned out very well. They are a little darker than I would have preferred. The man who did the refinishing told me he tried to use the color stain I requested but that they turned out very dark so he went lighter. He knew I was out of town and couldn't see them so he used his own best judgment on the color. I would have preferred a phone call to explain the situation but due to distance he made a wise decision. It was hard to coordinate a time to pick up my furniture as it rained and we had to make alternate pick-up dates. Since furniture restoration is a hobby I had to work around his regular work schedule to pick up the furniture. That is the reason I gave him a B on punctuality. I am retired so the time was really not an issue for me but it could be for someone else.
