About us
Since 2005 Milless Interiors, LLC, has been a small company with large aspirations. My vision is to focus solely on quality instead of quantity. I have been able to give each job more personal attention to making sure every detail is covered.
My focus over the years has been to provide the best customer service and project quality possible to meet your needs. At Milless Interiors, LLC, I pride myself on high-quality craftsmanship, communication and an attention to detail which is second to none.
With little to no overhead, no big offices or warehouses, and no pushy sales people to pay. I am able to keep my costs lower while producing excellent results on all of my work. I choose and work on 1 project at a time in order to treat it as if I were working on my own home. It allows me to control the quality of my work much better. Giving you a high end finished product at a low end price.
Give me a call. You'll be glad you did!
We may have to pay someone else to re-do a bunch of the work. We hired him to remodel the entire kitchen with out major demolition (just floors and cabinets. We essentially stopped asking for additional work because we would rather finish the other remodel items on our own instead of dealing with him. Nice guy, but unreliable and we might not get acceptable quality without suing. He takes shortcuts and will fix up some small things, but blamed us for wear and tear on the workmanship on more serious issues. For example, the paint is just falling off the cabinets after 3 months (4 months in and it's even worse), but he started down the path of blaming us for wear and tear and water damage. Where should I start explaining this nightmare? If I had paid half what I did, I would feel like I got what I paid for. Instead, we paid a competitive rate. - Broke numerous MN Statutes during our engagement, including not pulling electrical permits. Claimed it was an oversight. This should be second nature for a pro. - A 3-4 week project (his quote) took 10 weeks. After tearing apart the kitchen, they were at my house to do work 3 times in the first 3 weeks - The paint on the cabinets is coming off, not even 3 months after he left. - He claims the cabinet maker (Bonkhouse) is a pro, but the cabinets were visibly not level. They were dinged up and just painted over. - Cabinet maker MIS-MEASURED and the drawers were hitting other drawer handles in one corner. - Cabinet maker used the wrong screws to secure the doors and the doors started falling off after a few weeks. - Nails sticking up from tack strips in high foot traffic areas where they installed flooring. - Constantly had to ask when they were coming or not. - We were frequently sending issues that needed to be fixed that I am sure would have not been done without a reminder. - He made decisions on the design without telling us. We wanted our counter to extend 6 inches or more beyond the end, but he decided that it would not work well, so did 1.5" instead. Never told us about it until we asked why. - Never did an inspection with us. - If you are going to hire, get to know the statutes in 326B and 327A because you will need to know them and know your rights. I reported him to the Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI). - His main worker was really nice and usually did a nice job.

What Tom does well: Thinks flexibly about design to meet the homeowner's requirements, has a talented cabinetmaker (or two), offers remodeling service at an excellent price point, and will ultimately correct most problems that are pointed out. We have a visually appealing kitchen with beautiful custom cabinet facing work and quartz counters, as a result of the efforts of Tom and his crew and subcontractors. He tends to focus primarily on one job at a time, which (at least by comparative reports) means he gets the job done on a shorter timeline than many other contractors. He uses competent plumbing and electrical subcontractors who do their work according to code requirements. In general his project scheduling was capably done, and the work was delivered on-budget. Where Tom could improve: On execution detail. He likes shortcuts, and initially did not want to repair sheetrock holes resulting from his team's demolition of the old cabinets (as the holes would be behind the new cabinets, not visible); some of the sheetrock areas that were fixed were poorly done, initially, and had to be re-done; undercabinet lighting wiring was routed without using wiring channels (wires were stapled to the sheetrock in the area behind the refrigerator, and duct-taped down in the cabinet over the range hood--again, these areas were not very visible). Cabinet interiors were melamine over particle board; this is difficult to work with, if one needs to route wiring through the shelving or put support screws through the cabinet sides, as drilling it quickly tends to "flake off" some of the melamine and, typically, breaks out some of the underlying MFD, too. That may or may not impair the structural integrity of the shelves, depending on how carefully it's drilled--in most cases the damage to the installed cabinetry was mostly visual, but largely out of sight, and limited (it still may bother perfectionists). The need for caulking/sealing at the rear tops of the backsplashes had to be pointed out before Tom took care of that, too. Still, overall, we are pleased with our remodeled kitchen.

Tom has great talent and the ability to problem solve when alternatives to original plans are required due to unforeseen issues with existing home. He and his team installed new countertops, backsplash, cabinet doors, lighting fixtures, sink and cooktop.

Tom and the companys he hires seem good. I would have wished they would clean up after themselves more often. He needs to take notes to remind himself of certain thing. Over all I'm pleased
