Description of Work: Talked to him a couple times about helping us with ice damage from the winter. He said he would help. Came over and talked to me, then never called back nor returned repeated phone calls. Left me disappointed.

+ 7 moreThis has been a long project, and during demolition, Steve discovered many hidden defects and prior construction errors. The project has been a lesson in how OTHER contractors take shortcuts, and throughout, Steve's iron clad insistence on 'doing it right' has been paramount. With each unfortunate discovery, Steve explained the issue, recommended the correct fix, and followed through appropriately. He and crew/subs had to adjust work schedules to accommodate the surprise fixes, and despite sometimes interrupting their schedules, all gave best efforts to keep our project moving and never sacrificed quality and attention to detail to hurry the job. They replaced probably 70% of our drywall, and subcontractors Russ and Todd are easily the tidiest drywall pro's we ever met. At present, we are seeing final work, the trim that really finishes off the project. Carpentry is excellent, all finish work is great. We have a top-notch job because Steve and crew have top-notch attitudes and skills.
Description of Work: Steve Walters finished a basement for us in our last house, and in our current home he is finishing up a whole-house remodel. Steve and his crew and subcontractors gutted much of the house to studs,sub floor,and rafters, moved walls, expanded and redid baths, added a dormer and added other new space in part of the house. They replaced and added windows, including a 12-foot slider; removed an old fireplace and relocated/replaced it, replaced all kitchen cabinets and counters. They repaired or replaced extensive shoddy work from prior remodels and original poor building practice and are now finishing up with all new trim: new hardwood floors, new staircase, door and window casings, base, and stonework for the new fireplace.

+ -1 moreI HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN OUR HOME. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN IN DOING THE JOB AND NOT BOTHERING ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE AREA THAT THEY WERE WORKING IN. THEY WERE VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY HOME AND CHILDREN. THEY CLEANED UP WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE.
Description of Work: THEY REFINISHED OUR BASEMENT AND LAID CARPET.
