+ -1 moreBlack River Builders made a professional presentation to us in response to bids sent out by our architect to builders. They listened to us, broke ground on time, the project manager was at the site every day and even when the roof trusses blew down in a 60 mph wind storm, they had an engineer on site the same day as well as an insurance adjuster. Their subs were also professional and well-managed, polite to the neighbors and cleaned up daily. This is the third house we've built--and our dream home--and it couldn't have been a better experience. Change orders were met with a smile; they were quick to suggest money-saving ideas and though we had a bit of a delay at the end, they were always responsive. Black River is a small family operations and despite some turnover in their project management, the arrival of a new baby and the principal's serious workplace (not our workplace) accident, they never missed a beat. Kind of makes me want to build another house!
