Did that above. Service exceeded my expectations. I paid an appraiser the same day, and while he did his job, was not nearly as pleasant to deal with as Kevin.
Description of Work: It has been almost 10 years since I had a home inspection done for a new purchase, and I could not have asked for better service. Was given a list of names to call near the Spring Lake area, and called him. Kevin set the appointment for 2 days following my call, which I thought was very quick. He showed up on time, even though the place is not GPS friendly...... odd area we were looking at. I told the owners we'd probably be an hour or so. 2.5 hours later Kevin was done. Not slow by any means.........extremely thorough. I don't recall previous home inspectors ever opening every window just to verify the operation is smooth and all mechanisms are functioning properly.... and he actually caught a problem with one. Even nice Anderson windows have issues. This was the 5th time I had been to the house as a potential buyer, and had taken 100's of photos during those visits. I never saw any issues, and I'm an engineer. Kevin found about 20, 3 of them I would consider somewhat major, or at least points to use as further negotiation with the seller. He takes lots of photos...... even one of a bat in the attic. Ugh. You have some woodpecker damage. Say what? Hard to see, but sure enough, there was woodpecker damage..... as slight as it was, he caught it..... and caught it. Inspection was done, we shook hands, and said goodbye. He stated he'd send the report out soon. I assumed 2-3 days. I had the full report 3.5 hours later, with all pictures and details. Really? As much complaining as I do about customer service these days, this guy actually exceeded my expectations? He did. I was shocked. I should add, Kevin tested a GFCI electrical outlet in one of the bathrooms. He tripped it, but could not reset it. So the owners were left with no power in their bathroom. He tried to reset it, but no go. He left a note for the owners on the kitchen counter about the situation and his card. After we were long gone, owners called and said their phone wasn't working either. He returned to the house, took care of the phone issue, and also corrected the GFCI outlet issue. How's that for customer service? Very nice guy, has a personality, has a sense a humor, but is all business and apparently knows his business well. I was very impressed. You will not be disappointed with Kevin....... trust me.
