Kind of 50/50. They were on time, actually early. Almost too early. They were nice and did good work. Downside - we didn't get a bill the day service was done (had told them we'd pay then). Got a bill in the mail about 10 days later and thought the price was quite high for the work done. The bill wasn't broken down/itemized in any way, which would have been nice. They were also supposed to call the morning of the appointment to verify the appointment and time and didn't. We were under a tight deadline and my husband was worried they weren't going to show up. We had to call them and check instead of them calling us. When we first contacted them about the sink we asked for an estimate on a utility tub in the basement and a hose fixture on the back of the house (have them on sides in front of fence). Never got one. Will go elsewhere.

Goerge and I discussed the pros and cons of using an condensing boiler (super efficient) and a convential cast iron boiler. I knew the efficient unit would be much more expensive, but I decided to try to save a little money on fuel in the long run. They removed all the existing plumbing and the old boiler and made a clean looking space that looked like a mess before they started. The new unit works flawlessly and I have used about half the amount of propane as I did last year and the winter has been brutal and last winter was mild. I am going to have them put a water heater unit with this boiler when my old heater dies (soon). The one draw back of an electronic appliance is power outages. Just like a computer, they don't come back on because they are run by a computer. They installed a battery backup system (APS) and now I don't have to worry when I am gone. It fires up with no problem.

Have used them a few times in the past, with satisfactory experiences. Made a point to offer them our business, on the principle of good faith. Asked for no special treatment. Long story short. Had to wait 4 days for their first opening. Did so, despite reservations. Waited all morning for them. No show. Called them. and quot;We had you scheduled for NEXT Friday.and quot; and quot;We are so sorry.and quot; and quot;The soonest we can come now, is a week from today.and quot; and quot;Here are a couple of business that might be able to help you.and quot; Now, I originally called them because we have a water leak in our bathroom. We were willing to wait 4 DAYS because we feel strongly about supporting local businesses, who do quality work. As a reward for our loyalty, they are going to make us wait AN ADDITIONAL WEEK (for a total of 11days) for a repair, despite their error. Business must be good.

Wilbur plumbing is first class. George is an extreme professional. I would not use any other plumber.

I got Wilbur Plumbing name from the builder of my house when I called them to get a schematic of the plumbing- other plumbers had come out and diagnosed the problem incorrectly- they did smoke bombs for leaks in the venting and were ready to tear out the wall. George Wilbur came out and listened to what the problem was and diagnosed it quickly (sitting water in my front loader washer) and gave me the fix for that and other suggestions that were really helpful. I can not say enough good things about this experience

Work was scheduled to start at 7:30am (my choice) and the plumber was waiting for me when I checked outside at 7:25am. I did not supervise his work but it sounded like he was busy for the full 2 hours that I was billed for. He removed the old water heater and took it to his truck and came back in with the new water heater on a hand truck and got it into the basement. He informed me that I wasn't going to have access to water and then established water connections to the new tank. The connections had to be made in a cramped space between 2 air ducts and I was expecting him to say this was going to take longer to install because of the difficulty involved but that was not the case.Because the new heater was larger in size than the old, the gas line to the water heater had to be reworked and he accomplished that with no problems and then he let me know that my water was back on again.He went out to his truck and came back with the bill itemized for the water heater itself and the labor to install it. I went down and looked at his work and noted that the exhaust run had a little bit of a peak in it and I asked him if the slope of the exhaust pipe was sufficient enough to allow exhaust vapors to run effectively. He said yes but as he was leaving he turned around and said he wanted to try and finess the exhaust pipe and remove the small peak. He spent about 5 minutes just trying to break the connection in the pipe where the peak was and then he spent another 5 minutes manipulating the pipe to get the peak out which he was able to do. I was not billed for the re-work of the exhaust pipe. Overall, I am satisfied with the installation. I'd be extremely pleased if the labor was 30% cheaper.

My sump pump broke (as so many others' did) and my basement flooded. They sent someone out the same day (within a few hours) to replace the pump. They checked the exhaust in the yard and showed me how it had clogged and that it was too close to the house. They made sure they cleared the area so that the pump had room to outflow and suggested I call to make an appointment to have the drain extended farther out from the house. It was a holiday weekend so I intended to call on Tuesday to make the appointment...I got a call from them asking if I wanted to schedule the work - I didn't even have to do anything. I love their service and their attention to detail. And it always costs less than I think it will - they are fair and reasonable.

My water heater started leaking and the flame was HUGE, when I called to inquire about water heaters, they explained my options (I could buy one on my own and they could install it or buy one and have it installed by the seller or they could do the whole thing.) Their pricing was actually better than my local big box store and the water heater had a better warranty and efficiency rating. The technician was on time and installed the water heater quickly (in my opinion). I have not had a problem with the water heater since. I have used Wilbur Plumbing before and was happy with their service.

They adapted themselves to minimal changes without charging anything extra. I have nothing but superlatives for them.

This was a perfect job. Arrived on schedule and completed on time. Everything looks just as expected and works perfectly.
