How'd it go. Not so well. Contract is for the 2014 growing season. *Trugreen promises a 24 email notification of any performed service. They have succeeded in that respect about 15 percent of the time - sometimes we get an email and they never show up for the service or not getting an email and suddenly they show for the service call. We have called numerous times to inquire where the technician is after not showing within 3 days of the emailed timeframe. *Within 2 weeks after the initial underground tree fertilization, half of a 15 foot, 14 years old cedar died. They originally claimed it was due to winter freeze; we knew this to be wrong and proved them incorrect since the tree was alive well into the growing season with no winter affects (confirmed by our neighbors who are lawn care specialists). After that they sent a SME (Subject Matter Expert) who claimed it was due to a biological root infestation. They refused any responsibility. *We've also indicated that the back corner of the property was not being treated, each time catching the technician before they left to treat the area and given a promise that it would be entered into our notes so it wouldn't happen again ... 3 times. The problem here is that if we are not home when the treatment occurs, there is no way to convince them that the area was missed (other than the obsessive weed growth in the untreated area). When they are informed of the miss, they send someone out to "spot" treat the area - never a full application as with the rest of the property. Customer service is always pleasant, but rarely with appropriate follow-up. Our experience with Trugreen has been horrible mainly with the loss of one of our larger trees and spotty service.
