The serviceman did a great job. He fixed what was broken on our one furnace and cleaned and checked the remaining furnace as well.

I have an annual service contract on two home furnaces and two air conditioning units. I called to ask about the moisture at the base of the two furnaces. Checked and found issue was just condensation. There was no charge for the visit. A month earlier I had a technician visit for the annual checkup of the 2 furnaces and air conditioners. He spent over an hours opening and testing each of the 4 pieces. Always a clear explanation of what was done and what was found.

Gary and his team installed a brand new Lennox Air Conditioner and Furnace. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. The price was really competitive and there were no surprise costs. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. The installers were very pleasant. The put drop cloths down so they would not walk on my carpets with shoes. They seemed to be very knowledgeable. Overall a great experience. I will definitely use them again in the future. I love my new furnace and air conditioner.

This was through the Costco program. The owner came to my home and gave me the estimate. They arrived on time and performed the work in the time frame that I was told. They cleaned up after themselves. The unit appears to be working well and of good quality. With the Costco and Gas Co rebates the price is reduced by over $1000. I would recommend them to others.

The technician arrived right on time (or maybe a little earlier than expected). He immediately went to work and determined that there was a clogged pipe. He was able to clear the clog quickly and spent some time checking things to make sure everything was working properly. He was also great with my 4-year-old son who was asking some questions about the process. My wife asked if he could take a look at our gas fireplace that hasn't been working. He was able to get the pilot light lit and spent time trying to find the fuse box for the fireplace because it still didn't fully light. He admitted that he has never installed a gas fireplace, so he wasn't familiar with where it would be located but he gave it a good shot. (When we made the service call, they did tell us that they don't repair gas fireplace repairs, but we thought we would ask anyway.) He recommended taking a look at the brand and finding a company that services that brand. It was a great experience, we will be using Pat Walters and Sons again.

Very well. Two technicians showed up promptly, very personable, explained installation plan and alterations to existing 35 yr old system, worked efficiently, covered new line opening with cosmetic grill, cleaned up and removed old compressor, explained care of new system. I was very pleased. Prior estimate was spot on. System now 3 mo. old and works great.

We called and were able to get an appt very quickly for a furnace check up. The service person showed up on time. In addition to getting the furnace prepped for the winter -- he showed me that the furnace stack on our hot water heater had been knocked off and that carbon monoxide was being vented throughout the basement -- if we had been using the furnace it would have pulled the CO into the furnace and distributed it throughout the house -- extremely glad we had them out. This was certainly not part of the service call, but we are very grateful he spotted this and fixed it. Also, he showed me how to properly clean our electronic air filter (which I had been neglecting), and explained why it was important, and why the furnace smelled (because of the build up from the filter falling back into the heating element). Lastly, he showed me that the furnace humidifier was not hooked up -- the wires were not connected. He put in a transformer (which was also missing) and connected the wires, and this is now working (after all these years). Great service -- an extremely helpful and knowledgeable technician who took the time to explain everything he had done in an understandable way. The service call was $75, but with the additional parts and services he performed, it ended up being $123 -- I thought that was a bargain. We also used them in the middle of the summer when or A/C stopped working -- they cam e out same day and fixed the A/C for a very good price. Was another great experience. I will continue to use this company for all furnace and A/C issues.

They did a great job. We are happy with the product and their services. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Woke on 11-10-11 to find our Rheem furnace was blowing cold air. After turning off the thermostate and furnace and turning them back on, it blew hot air until the desired temperature was reached and then it would go back to blowing cold air. Furnace would only turn off at the main switch, not via the thermostat. I call Pat Walters and Sons, who has done work for me before, and Greg was at our home at 12:30pm the same day. After explaining the and quot;oddand quot; nature of the problem he determined that the control panel on the furance needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, that was not a part that they kept in stock so we were advised to turn the furnace on and then, manually, back off for the weekend until they could located a control panel. They anticipated getting one, sometime, the following Monday or Tuesday. Monday morning at 8:45am I got a call from Brent telling me they had the panel and could be to my house within the hour. Sure enough, about 40 minutes later Greg had returned to install the new panel and within 20 minutes the furnace was up and running, perfectly, again. The only reason I didn't give the cost an and quot;excellentand quot; rating is because no one gets that excited about having to pay for home repairs. However, I do think the price was extremely fair and I will call Pat Walters and Sons anytime we have heating/cooling needs. :-)

The experience was, in a word, terrible. I was taken aback, given what great service I’d had with PWand S in previous years. I will never, ever use their services again, even though supporting local, family-owned businesses is important to me. In brief, the plumber who performed the estimate was late, rude (pounding on the backdoor like a madman), and ill-informed. Since he was a younger man, I would guess that he was trained on HVAC systems and not boilers, as his comments and the estimate didn’t make much sense and they weren’t in keeping with those of the previous PWand S technician, nor with the estimate and feedback given by the contractor that eventually performed the work. The plumber insisted that the way our boiler was hooked up was both unusual and, believe it or not, illegal. He insisted that we would have to repipe the boiler intake to come up to code before he could do the small job we needed. He cited the Michigan Safe Drinking Act of 1976. Nevermind that our boiler was installed since then and that the cross connection concern he had didn’t make sense given our system (there is backflow protection between the boiler and city water). When I followed up over the phone, gently at first, to better understand the estimate and his concerns regarding the 1976 legislation (which I read over in detail), he was hostile, rude, and almost abusive in his speech. For example, he claimed several times that I was poisoning my family with my given boiler system and raised the volume of his voice. He seemed very upset and contradicted himself several times during the course of our conversation. Thankfully, I found a better trained, mild-mannered contractor who did a fabulous job for a good price. I suspect (and hope) that these problems stemmed from just one employee and that the other technicians continue to do a great job. Regardless, I will never go back after this incident.

They were very prompt with the estimate. They were very good with following up, my emails. They were priced the lowest, amongst the people I received a quote from. The thing that impressed me was that, they followed up and ensured I got my rebate. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Overall, their work was excellent. They were on-time, thorough and offered a very fair price which was enhanced by the Angie's coupon that reduced the cost to $65.00. Walters also gave me an estimate for a new furnace because I was considering purchasing one to take advantage of the tax credit. Again, they were timely, thorough and fair in their pricing. While I decided not to purchase the furnace at this time, when I do, I expect to use Walters.

They were excellent - very professional. They gave us good information and seemed to know what they were talking about. They came to service components that they did not install and had no problem with that. We asked them about winter maintenance of our air conditioner unit outside and when we should clean it and they gave us concise and helpful information in addition to performing a thorough checkup on all aspects of our heating and cooling system. We plan on having them come out again in the summer to do a cleaning of our AC unit and would definately call them for any related services in the future. When I called several places to do a checkup of our heater most places wouldn't give me an appointment sooner than a month or two out unless I smelled gas - but they gave us an appointment the very next week - no questions.

So far everyhing has been great and I will update after our new furnce is installed.

Overall, I had a very good experience with them. They were able to come out within a week to do inspect and clean my furnace. He was on time and explained to me everything he did and gave me a clear idea of the current condition of my furnace. Even though the furnace is pretty old (1980s), he didn't try to sell me another furnace, but told me that he felt the furnace would probably last for a couple more winters and recommended I wait to replace it unless I wanted the tax credit. I felt he was honest, personable, and explained things well to someone who doesn't know much about furnaces. I would recommend them.

It was really great. I had called another company that we have used in the past, but they could not come out for a week and it was steaming hot. My kids' bedrooms are upstairs so we really needed a quick turnaround. A technician came out the day I called, and he quickly identified the problem (caused by a power surge) and showed me the part that was damaged. It only took him about 15 minutes to complete the service, he was very personable, and the price was quite reasonable. I would definitely use this company again.

They're very friendly, trustworthy, and they work fast. We can always get an appointment with them and the guy who came out was incredibly knowledgeable. It's a really good company.

They came to our house in January 2010 to quote a new furnace and air conditioning. Their quote was professional and the representative was helpful in answering our questions. We got several other quotes. We called Pat Walters and Sons a few times to ask additional questions and they were always helpful. We had the furnace installed in February 2010 and the A/C in May 2010 at our request. The work was done on efficiently and on time.

The installation went without a hitch. They answered all the questions I asked and explained how everything was going to work. They cleaned up all the mess which goes with this kind of work and that was greatly appreciated. I would be happy to recommend this firm at any time. Bottom line they have the best service men working for them, they all take pride in doing a good job.

They were very good and pleasant people. If there was anything wrong they came right out and fixed it.

The worker arrived on schedule, did the work, and presented me with bill. He found that my humidifier (attached to furnace) was moldy and that the water line was clogged. He fixed it and installed a new filter. He was very pleasant.

About 3 weeks ago I started calling around for someone to do a furnace and humidifier check, just to make sure my heat/humidifier was working correctly. I called Pat Walters and Sons, and they really didn't have an opening until mid November. I told them I was taking a day off and just wanted to get several things done on one day. I told him where I lived and what I needed, and they made an exception to come to my home on my day off. They stated they would be at my house between 10am - 1pm and, he came around 10:15am. He checked out everything and told me my furnace was fine and my filter will last about another month. He did a great job.

They are absolutely reliable and wonderful. They are nice and unobtrusive. They check everything even the air conditioner on the top of the roof.

THEY CALL US EVERY YEAR TO LET US KNOW THAT WE ARE DUE FOR A CHECK. THEY ARE ALWAYS SURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME. THEY HAVE ALL OF THEIR NECESSARY EQUIPMENT WITH THEM. THEY ARE FAST, CLEAN AND EFFICIENT.
