Alan McMillan returned our call promptly. Set up appt to give us an estimate. After accepting his bid, we scheduled for work to done within a week. He and his employee showed up, on time, and ready to work. He personally did the pantry work. A change had to made on the job regarding the shelving. He made the change and didn't charge us for the change even though it was more work. He did a great job on the finishing of the shelves. The pantry, deck, shed and outside window trims look great!!!! We would highly recommend Mr. McMillan and his company.....thanks for the great job!!!

They are fantastic! My son was getting married this weekend and they made the time to finish up everything for me. They did little odds and ends on their own to help me without any additional charges. James was the best! They are very nice, outgoing, and respectful. They also are very comfortable to have around, especially when you are gone and need to leave them alone in your house. I would hire them for additional work in the future.

The crew from McMillan Enterprises were friendly, polite, and professional throughout the entire experience. The showed up on time every day, as scheduled. The workers showed attention to detail, even when power washing (Adam took the time to get into the best position to wash the trim instead of trying to do everything from the ground or a low ladder). The crew leader James made sure that everyone was very friendly and made sure to do a walk-through at the end of every day to verify all equipment was cleaned up and put away. Alan, the owner, was on site for multiple days and did an excellent job replacing damaged sections of trim. He even fixed an area under our chimney that wasn't noticed during the initial inspection / estimate Overall, we are extremely happy with the work McMillan Enterprises performed for us and we would definitely hire them again in the future.

Had a variety of services performed. Work was done in a quality way and on time. Cleanup of all working areas was done very well. Good follow-up was done as well.

I called Alan and he got back with me very quickly even though he was on vacation. We set up a time from him to come and give me an estimate. He was on time, gave me the estimate and ended up doing the job that same day. He removed the drinking fountain, capped off the water and drain, and even vacuumed up after he was done. He did an amazing job! I will definitely keep his card handy for future needs!!

Did the jobs we set out to do in budget and quickly.

Alan's crew is very friendly and very flexible. We really liked working with them. His prices are EXCELLENT (I would give it an A+ if I could) and the quality of the work is in alignment with what you pay. The team worked very hard to get the job done within the timeframe and came up with inventive solutions to problems. Our major issues arose when we made some non-typical decisions on how we wanted the basement finished. In the end, it worked out amazingly but it was sometimes painful getting there.

I was completely pleased with both the advice and the workmanship. The staff were through and detail- oriented. I would absolutely use them again

We used McMillian Enterprises last year and gave them an excellent review on Angie's list. This was no exception. James arrived on the day and time as scheduled. Prior to starting work, James and I reviewed the work area to confirm exactly what I wanted. As James worked, he consulted with me whenever alternative choices or suggestions were involved. James encountered more bad wood than anticipated which resulted in additional timbers, but that was expected. James is a real professional in every respect. He has pride in his work and it shows. The cleanup was thorough. All the dirt was restored, the concrete was swept, and scrap material was removed. Except for a new beautiful retaining wall, you couldn't tell he was here.

So far My experience with McMillan has been positive. They call when they say they will and show up when they say they'll show up. Rare! They're friendly and professional. I still have to see how the painting job holds up over time but I think it will hold up well, he even brought a special primer instead of using the one I had, which apparently was not good. I just called them back for more work and hopefully we can continue working with them many times in the future.

Very responsive, from the beginning. Professional estimate with detail description of work to be completed. I appreciated very much that I was informed of exactly what to expect. Work was completed on time and to quote. There was even some additional trim work done without charge. Walls were re-built, crawl space insulated, painting walls and floors of entire basement, electrical work, new doors, peg board and closet interior covered with cedar lining. It was a pleasure to work with a team that was very professional, courteous and competent. At no fault of theirs, out dogs got loose while these guys were working on the house and they even stopped to help us search for them!!! Would definitely work with these guys again when needed.

They were excellent. Their price was also excellent. They were able to get us in their schedule pretty easily. They were very professional and very knowledgeable.

I called on a Sunday because that morning my refrigerator stopped working. After troubleshooting, I realized that it was a whole wall in my kitchen that was out. I went to my fuse box and reset everything; no luck. Frantically I looked on Angie's list to see if I could get an electrician to my home on a Sunday. I had tried calling 10 other places and they were all closed. Of course it is understandable that places are closed on Sunday. Luckily, this gentleman answered the phone and was able to give me tips about what I could do to remedy the situation on my own. He said that he'd come out if none of his suggestions worked. I am so relieved and feel thankful that I was able to talk to someone on a Sunday. I am just grateful that he was willing to answer his phone and give me some pointers, which did fix my problem. He was not condescending or impatient with me. I am sure he is happy too that I didn't waste his time in having him come to my home when the problem was easily fixable. As someone who is inexperienced in the domain of electric work, I am happy that someone was able to remedy my problem over the phone in a professional, pleasant, non-judgmental manner.

When he did come to my home to give me an estimate(many times) I informed him he needed to send the home owners association te plans which he did,but he did not get the permit from the township as he told me to do it. I contacted the township and they informed me he was to do this as he was going to perform the work and not me. I telephoned him to inform him what the township stated and he said ok he would. I also asked him for plqaces where I could go and see where some of his work had been done on installing fences and he agreed but6 I have not received anything. He also said he would start the work in the spring because the weather would be getting cold. I began contacting him in July and August .He went on vacation n September. I think I gave him plenty of opportunity if he wanted my business.

From start to finish this job went really well. Alan, the owner of McMillan, came over a few times to access what I wanted to have done in my basement. He was very professional and courteous. He listened to all my requests and made suggestions of how things could be done. We settled on all the services that needed to be done, costs, a timeframe of when the job would start, and how long it would take. Alan and his employee James stared the job on Monday, March 5 and planned on finishing the job in two weeks. Everyday they were here on-time, got right to work and cleaned up the job site as needed. If I had any questions or comments they were both very responsive. The job progressed really well even when I asked for a few modifications, which they always came through on. The framing and dry wall went up fast. James did an excellent job with the drywall, in all aspects, the ceiling, walls and especially around the window wells. The framing and drywall and trim around the windows was impressive, it made the window look so much better, especially the weird angles of the bathroom window having to frame around pipes. The newly framed and drywalled storage/closet area with the new bi-fold doors and the new area adjacent to the existing bathroom are immensely better than what was existing down there before. As well as as the stairwell wall that they fixed the framing on and drywalled; now the wall is straight and the door opens correctly. The drywalling inside and outside the bathroom was a vast improvement as well especially around the awkward window well. With this being a basement with existing crooked walls/floor they still did a great job with getting a door framed and installed at the bottom of the stairs. I know that they put a lot of effort and work getting that area to come out looking great and for the door to work correctly. Alan and James stuck to the plans for the basement and I think went above and beyond to make me happy with the results. They completed the job on-time and on budget. Alan pulled in a few others to the site when I requested that I also wanted them to paint all the ceiling surfaces and my stairwell area--I was so thankful that that was all taken care of! My basement went from being a place where I would walk down there, shake my head and go back upstairs because I didn't want to look at it or think about the mold on the walls because of water damage to a nice place to hang out, exercise, and even have people over for a party. It is so much more pleasant and clean and organized, which is exactly why I wanted this project done.

.Mr Mcmillan responded to my call that same day. I needed som bushes and a tree removed from my yard. Also...I had a leaky outdoor faucet that needed replacing. Mr Mcmillan came right over for an estimate and told my the cost. He also said that they were very busy this time of year but he thought he could squeeze me into their booked schedule. Within two weeks the work was done. They carried away all the debrie and fixed the faucet very quickly. They even took the time the time to show me how to work the new shut off valve on the faucet. Mr Mcmillan came by at the end of the day to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I am a single woman and I felt very comfortable with Mr Mcmillan. I will definitely call them again.

Alan and his crew were on time, and very quick workers. They were all very pleasant to deal with and provided the exact services that were required as well as taking on a few additional tasks that weren't. Hands down a great experience.

From the initial call, McMillan Enterprises was very responsive and timely. We were working with a very tight timeline, and Alan very clearly explained what could be accomplished and how fast. We were not home while part of the work was completed, but the person who did the work went above and beyond expectations - doing more repair than initially described, and did what was needed with no additional cost. Alan also provided tips and helpful recommendations regarding work that they were not performing. And while they were here finishing the job, we hired them to do some additional interior work.

The owner Alan McMillan returned my call the next day to set up an appointment. He came as scheduled 2 days later to review and bid on the job. Within 48 hours, I received his estimated written quote via email. Alan gave me a starting date 6 weeks out since he was booked until then. Alan's bid wasn't the lowest nor was it the highest, but Alan gave me a sense of confidence when discussing the project and along with his excellent reviews on Angie's List, I hired him. Three days prior to start, Alan called me to confirm he was on schedule. Alan arrived and introduced me to his Supervisor, James, and 2 men. Everyone was very polite and considerate. They parked their vehicles to ensure they would not block access to our home. Alan who I considered to be an excellent carpenter, worked alongside his men on and off for at least half of the project's 3.5 day duration. In his absence, James directed the project as scheduled and everyone worked as a precision team. Any concerns or questions were acknowledged and addressed. Unanticipated changes or costs were discussed and agreed upon in advance. I never had the feeling they were rushing through the job and quality workmanship was the more important factor. Each person knew what they had to do and performed their tasks extremely well. When they left, the worksite was so clean, that except for the completed, outstanding work, no one would ever suspect they were there. My wife, comes from a large contractor family and she knows how a job should be done. We were both very pleased. We discussed other future projects with Alan for both inside and outside work to add on to his schedule.

Al and his crew did a great job of removing and replacing sections of exterior wood trim on our house. The estimate and final cost of the job were fair, and the work was very well done. We are happy to recommend McMillan Enterprises.

They did a good job. My husband feels we got a good deal because they were here for a long time, longer than what they probably expected. The only bum deal, we asked for any scrap boards they had left, they cleaned it all up and took it. Alan was very good at keeping us informed of possible dates coming out. Was running 15 minutes late the day of the project and called to say they were running late. Very professional.

Excellent, they kept in touch with me at all times, came out at my convenience, asked me about issues. They did an excellent, quality job and my fence looks great ! I would definitely recommend them.

Overall, very satisfying experience and we will gladly call them in the future and recommend them to others.

First of all, I told him when he initially called that I was willing to pay 175 bucks for a customized rack. He came within an hour and took measurements, estimated the total cost at $150 and gave me a solid delivery date. He built the rack and it is beautiful, a nice piece of work. He delivered it 3 days early. Under budget and early delivery. I hung this custom rack today and it is very nice. This man was professional, curteous and cordial. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
