Jafferson Computers

I've taken my computer in several times over the years and they've done a good job. They saved me from having to buy a new computer by fixing hard drive errors, WiFi errors, and lost sound. Yay!

Work went very quickly once the new keyboard had arrived, and there was no charge to install the new battery I had purchased elsewhere. I was surprised how well the whole thing went since this repair shop is not an exclusive shop for Macs like other repair places I have used. Will return here for sure if I need other work on my Macs.

It was fabulous. On time. Staff had perfect grasp of what was needed and made clear suggestions at a reasonable price. It was a 5 year upgrade for a professional photographer. Special attention was made to restore previous settings, drives and partitions so upgrade was as smooth as possible. 2016 upgrade was also made by Jafferson computers so I knew I couldn't go anywhere else for this 2021 one. Staff was careful to reuse components that were still in good condition. They were careful to itemize each new component for my approval.

Repairs went as promised. Very sincere caring service.

I went in to ask if he thought he could do anything with a nonresponsive memory stick. He tried it in 3 of his computers but it simply didn't show up on the screen. He explained what seemed to be wrong and the options for repair, none of which would definitely work and all of which could be pretty expensive. He gave me the contact info. for two on-line places that could maybe help. I came in at 5:45 and he stayed to help me until we were done, at 6:15 even though he closed at 6. I was really impressed.

Fine. Work was done as promised and in a professional manner.

They replaced drive with faster more efficient solid state drive and all my data was saved.

Very well. They were able to bring back all my data (which was a lot) and upgrade my system, and loaded new security software.

Each service was performed to my satisfaction.

They were able to do some magic and retrieve almost all of the files. So very important files too. Thank you so very much. I will be verbally recommending them for such work in the future. And I will be back, but hopefully not for an issue like this. They saved me.

It went very well. They performed the necessary diagnostics and determined there was a virus that had been causing issues such as not letting me log in, not automatically updating Windows, and not allowing me to shut down properly. I am very impressed by their professionalism and knowledge. I am not a very computer-literate person, but they very patiently spent time explaining things to me in a way that I could understand. For those of us who are not technologically-advanced, that in itself is worth its weight in gold. My laptop is running great now too!

Mateen put a lot of extra time in to make it right.

My machine came back after only 3 business days and that's after dropping it off on a Saturday. All of my cables were expertly managed, my dust covered components were cleaned, it looked like a brand new computer. Every possible connection was looked at, from a disabled front panel to an unused hot swap bay, to all of my hard drives which initially I couldn't get to work in tandem. Was able to safely override a limitation within my motherboard allowing it to power more components than before, amazing! Resolved a motherboard fan issue, what I thought was dead is now spinning like a top again. Troubleshot my PSU and discovered a dead SATA power connection I had no idea existed. I'd like to add my motherboard has a digital error display that gives numbers and letters referring to issues. This is the first time in years its showing AA which means essentially the motherboard sees ZERO issues! A friendly atmosphere, I was able to express my desire to save some money on various options to which I was shown understanding. It was clear to me that Mateen (the owner) truly wants to do both whats best and whats reasonable for you and your system. As I said, though I know somewhat how to work on a computer, Mateen and Josh were prepared to walk me through anything I didn't understand. They were both very kind overall, in the tech world customers like myself worry about condescension when dealing with complex things like computers, I can assure Jafferson Computers is a very safe space! I would highly recommend them to anyone with PC needs. There isn't anything Mateen and his employee Josh wont be able to solve for you, at a great price, with direct personal contact. You just cant beat that at any large store, of which I guarantee you will pay more for less service and care. Mateen himself called me when my machine was ready for pickup and then walked me through the changes he applied so that he knew I understood. The whole experience was pleasurable overall, please stop by sometime even if you have a simple question these guys will go out of their way to help!

I was given a list of things to do to keep my computers safe weekly and monthly. I am able to contact them by hone and a link with my computer if I have problems or don't understand something. don't download anything without checking. I would and do recommend Jaffrsons to my family and friends.

Everything was located and computer was re-booted, and nothing was missing. Made sure my anti-virus was working properly. They also showed me weekly and monthly maintenance information to combat any future viruses. Very thorough in every aspect. Totally satisfied customer/consumer of Jafferson Computers.

I took my system to the the providers retail store and they were able to help me right on the stop and installed my software. Bottom line is ALWAYS 5 store service for over 5 years.

I took my lap top to Best Buy where it had been purchased 2.5 years ago. They took one look at the dented corner and told me $400. plus to fix it. $80 above that to save all my info. The problem, I was told, was that the switch was part of the mother board and the whole thing had to be replaced. I was asked if I wanted to look at a new computer. I went home instead and called HP parts. I was told I could buy a new switch for $84!! So I went on line to look for someone who could put it in for me in less time then the 2-4 weeks Best Buy had quoted me. Matten had good ratings on Yelp, and even though he was 45 minutes away, I liked that he had been in the business for a while, had a degree and experience. I was impressed by his professional business space immediately. Mateen listened to what I thought was wrong, talked to me in language I understood ( I don't speak computer-ease well.) and knew right away that the chance was he could change out the part. He gave me a clear picture of what repairs might look like, kept in frequent contact witth me, let me when the part was ordered, when it arrived, and when my computer could be picked up. I had it back in great shape in 7 days. I would recommend Mateen to anyone and would make the drive again without a second thought. The service was performed on timeand for a good price. the computer is performing well and working properly. A great job!!

I walked in with my laptop, in a state of panic. Mateen was helping another customer but greeted me politely and got to my case as soon as he could. He spent a great deal of patient time, walking me through the issues I was having, and explained clearly the 'how and why' of the situation. I went in thinking I needed a new cord and/or battery, or that my monitor was fried. Being computer-ignorant, he could have easily sold me items that weren't needed and I wouldn't have thought twice. Thankfully, Mateen was professional, courteous, and best of all, HONEST. I highly recommend.

computer runs like new. these guys are great. did what sony couldn't. I've had this sony viao touch screen computer for 15 months. its been sent back to sony 3 times totaling 5 of those 15 months. they never repaired it. they just uninstalled then reinstalled my operating system. they never even took the back off the computer. Jafferson found the problem, repaired it, and sat me down and explained what was wrong, how to operate it using all the touch features, and it's been running wonderfully since. very professional and knowledgeable. i'll never go any place else as long as their in business.....

THE CUSTOMER REP WAS VERY INFORMATIVE ON THE PHONE. I DROPPED OFF THE COMPUTER AND TWO DAYS LATER I PICKED IT UP. IT IS STILL WORKING FINE. A WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE STAFF. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL EACH STEP OF THE WAY.
