+ -1 moreI called with an emergency septic situation. No return call. I sent them an email through their website. No response. Fortunately I was able to find another contractor who actually returns his calls. For a company that advertises punctual attention to not even respond to an emergency call is unconscionable. Obviously, I cannot recommend Jack Spack Septic.

+ -1 moreOwner Jack came out. They were not on time and I had to call several times to figure out if they were still coming out. We had a schedule appt for them to pump the second tank at 9:30am and then an inspection with Jack at 10am. After no one showed up at 10 am I started calling. I guess they were having issues but I also was having issues. Jack came out and was very helpful and kind. Apologized for the tardiness. I had to call the office to have them come within the hour to pump the second tank. But Jack was able to help me figure out why I was having issues with my septic. I would use their services again.
Description of Work: Pumped out 500 gallons in the second tank. Found issues with drain pipe.

+ -1 moreSomebody else had another septic system and people came out when they were going to buy the house. They disagreed with his assessment on the system but he volunteered to go out and defend his assessment with the buyers. They didn't take him up on it and passed it but in his opinion he said he was prepared to go out and tell the people that the other guy was just trying to sell a new septic system.
Description of Work: I used Jack Spack Septic to do my septic take inspection for selling of the house.

+ -1 moreThis is our second time using Jacks. The first visit we had them put risers on so we didn't have to pay for the extra digging. They arrived on time, took the top grass section off, emptied the tanks and then put the grass back on. Quick and no mess.

Explained what he was going to do, added tips on septic use, and money saving suggestions to just let the bacteria system work naturally without additives, which is what I have done for 25 years without issues. Very upfront and honest with advise and service.

+ -1 moreAfter dealing with a company that scammed us, we called these guys. They came right out pumped both septic tanks and had to do some snaking and digging to get the clog fixed. The company had someone here inside of 30 mins, the guy was professional, and informative. The cost was more than I wanted to spend but they did keep the cost reasonable and the service was excellent. I would use this company again and refer them to anyone with a problem +AAA all the way across the board Note: never make a check out to a person doing service work, allways make it out to the company or call the company before paying, thats how the first guy scammed us. He charged us 281.00 to snake a drain then asked that we make the check out to him. The company is not listed on angies list
Description of Work: 2 tanks were pumped out, then dug up part of the tank and snaked it also had to use another tool to push out the clog.

Description of Work: These folks have done our septic pumping since 1999 and I'm always very satisfied with their service. We're now on a once every 3 year pump schedule. Robert La Belle was here right on time in the morning. I got an appointment immediately after making one call. The whole process took about and hour and a half. Robert thoroughly hosed out both my septic units and we went through several toilet flushing cycles to make sur things wer in pristine condition. My system has tow tanks and three access holes. I wasn't aware of the third. It's a good idea for the homeowner to open an access hole to each tank access hole as this will allow the homeowner to judge the state of the covers and decide whether they need to be replaced. They run about $50 each. I ended up replacing one of mine with a large rock piece purchased from a local cut rock dealer. Digging out above the tank access also saves money since the service includes 2 feet of digging but mine are 3-1/2 feet down. The extra digging charge is $25/foot per hole. Robort gave me report of the the state of my tanks and their proper function. The tank truck parked in my driveway and about 70 feet of hose got the tank to my septic units. Robert cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I'll see the Spack serviceman again in three years.

Jack Spack came out the next day after I called and did an excellent job. They pumped both of my 1000 gallon tanks in the freezing weather. Price of $395.00 was what they quoted over the phone.

+ -1 moreSewer lines started gurgling in toilets in the middle of the night and we found water seeping in basement. They unclogged the clean-out. Since it was the second clog in a month due to washing paint brushes in a utility sink (Don't!), they said if it happened again, we should cal Roto-Rooter because they use underwater cameras. Our septic lid is underneath a sidewalk so they can't physically see where the opening dumps into the tank.

+ -1 moreWe called Spack because it had been nearly two years since our new septic field was installed, and it was time to get the tanks pumped. They showed up and pumped the tanks. It took no more than half an hour. Everything went smoothly.
Description of Work: Spack has been pumping our septic tanks since we moved into our house in 1986. We've never had a problem with them, and they've always been punctual and professional. We recommend them without reservation.

+ -1 moreWhen I called to get an appointment, the woman who answered the phone gave me a price of 200 per tank, up to 300 dollars, depending on the size of the tank and how much was removed from the tank. She also told me that if the top of the tank was below the surface, they would have to dig it up and they would charge to do this. She told me they would arrive at 1pm on the following Monday. They arrived early. They were required to dig, and they charged me for the digging, even though the woman said that because my house was new it was very unlikely that the tanks were buried too far down. She did however, warn me that it was "possible" that digging would be required. They also removed stuff from two tanks. In the end, the cost was way more than I expected. I wish I had a clearer understanding of all the charges. They also charged me a "Slow to drain" charge, which I was not advised of over the phone.

+ -1 moreCompany was very responsive and very helpful. They were able to schedule the service right away and arrived on time. They provided professional service. The only minor thing was the price for this service had increased $70 over the last time it was performed by the same company four years ago. I'm not an expert on disposal costs or other factors, though, so for all I know their price is fair. I would still recommend them.
