Derek and his coworker Steve did an outstanding job installing our kitchen backsplash. I had contacted Derek via phone to get a quote for the installation of a kitchen backsplash. He came out the same day (!) to look at the kitchen. He took quite a bit of time to look at the tile and the kitchen. I liked that he explained everything clearly and listened to my input. We received a quote via email the next day. He was able to come out the week after. The installation was a two day process: tile one day one, grout on day two. Derek and Steve showed up on time on both days. On the first day, we briefly discussed the project and left for work. Derek texted me in the early afternoon to let me know that the installation went well and that I should look at grout options at Menards. We ended up going with the color that he recommended. Derek gave me the option to come back the next day to do some caulking and a silicone seal between out walls and countertop. They did a great job with that as well. Throughout the entire project, Derek and Steve were quiet, friendly, and professional. I also liked how clean they left our kitchen on both days. Derek's quote came in lower than another highly rated tile installer. It certainly wasn't cheap but I thought the price was appropriate given the high quality of the work.

Replaced threshold, grout, reinstalled shower door. Always hard to match tiles, but it was matched perfectly. Very professional, extremely reliable and helpful beyond any expectations. If I need anything tiles-related, there's no question I would use Derek Hane's services again.

After discussion of my preferences, Derek gave me a written estimate for labor and materials. He and a helper arrived as promised and did perfect cleanups. First day, removed outlets. installed tile and trim. Second day, grouting. Derek and his helper were businesslike, but pleasant. They did beautiful work, and I highly recommend Derek Hane.
