Henderson Glass

We contacted Henderson Glass to get an estimate for the four windows in the living-room which needed to be changed. Representatives of the company came to measure the windows. We were promptly given an estimate which we accepted since it was reasonable. The windows were ordered immediately after our accepting the estimate. This was on 10/26/15. About a week later, as soon as windows arrived at Henderson, we were contacted to schedule installation. Installation was scheduled for Nov.10th. The company came promptly the day of the installation and did the job efficiently and cleaned up after the installation was completed. The windows had been professionally measured and fit perfectly. The employees of the company we dealt with were friendly, capable and we are very pleased with the company , from the start to the completion of this project. We recommend them highly!!

I requested a quote to replace the glass in 5 window frames. They were only able to schedule someone to come out and measure for me 2.5 weeks later on May 12th. After coming to measure, they guy measuring said he could have come out in a day or two and wasn't sure why they booked 2+ weeks out. Lack of communication? The guy measuring took my email and said they would email the quote. The quote never came. When I called, they had no record of the measurements, or quote. They somehow lost it. They came back out to measure again a month later on June 12th. At this time, I had added 3 more windows to the quote as I figured I'd have all the same type of windows replaced at once if I was going to have them out there. Upon re-measuring, they did send the quote later that day, on June 12th, awesome! BUT, the quote was unreadable as it was sent as a .jpg file (small image file that was such low resolution I could not make out the small text). Upon request of a PDF file of quote that is readable, they said they were having issues with their equipment and couldn't do that. Giving the benefit of the doubt here, I understand that can happen and then asked them to either snail-mail it or just take a picture of it with his cell phone and text it to me... anything? Finally got one mailed to me on June 30th. Good thing I asked because instead of adding 3 additional windows they only had 1 additional shown on the quote. I scanned in the quote they mailed with some hand written notes showing exactly what was wrong and emailed it back to them showing what needed to be updated and to adjust pricing. No response right away. Finally, I get an email July 11th with a quote. Again, it's a low res image file. Immediately, I requested a PDF file that is readable again, thinking their equipment was fixed finally... no response. I again took it upon myself and edited the image file contrast again to try make out what it says and it was updated to show the 3 additional windows I added... BUT with incorrect dimensions on the 3 windows! They noted a 3 the same size. There was 1 large one and 2 small ones... Seriously!? Then, on July 25th, I then sent them the measurements that were taken from a competitive quote (which was measured and given to me in 1 week's time) so they could see how the dimensions were significantly different on those additional 3 windows and hopefully correct their quote... No response. I am writing this complaint on Sept 2nd. On the plus side, their quote was competitive and pricing looked pretty good (although I really don't know what my final price was since it never got corrected). Great communicator on the phone, and seemed like he really did want to make it right (I believed him and tried to have patience with it)... I don't know if they were just too busy to care about my little job or what. I know summer does get busy for this type of work, and I can understand if timing-wise it takes longer to get measurements/quotes/responses, etc this time of year. However, it definitely made me question the quality of their work given the issues we were having with accurate quotes and measurements on the front end, then add to it the lack of response at the end, it gives the perception of sloppiness. Bummer, because they did seem to have really good reviews. I hope that I am just an outlier in this one. I did have a number of other properties that needed the same kind of work... I just wanted an updated quote with the correct dimensions.
