Joe removed the old patio, and when told about a sometimes, reoccurring leak in the basement suggested that we dig down to the foundation and waterproof the basement wall. Joe pointed out a crack that was the cause of the leak. The crew, after digging and exposing the outer basement wall, cleaned the wall so well, it looked very close to newly poured cement. He did this to insure that the patch would last for the life of our home. Several layers were used over the wall including a rubberized membrane and rigid solid foam. He even replaced the drain tile. He did an exemplary job on the finish of the new patio and the waterproofing. The crew did their best to return the lawn to it's pre-construction condition. We were and are very satisfied with the work a year later and our yard has, seemingly enlarged, greatly with the tall bushes removed.

TERRIBLE!!! Called TWICE (two weeks apart) and spoke with a live person to request an estimate for a concrete driveway replacement. Both times I was promised a call back within 2-3 days to set up an appointment for the estimate. Never got a call back after my first call. It has now been 6 days since my second call and still no response from company! I live only 5-6 miles away. I guess they are not interested in my business! Not sure how they earned an "A" rating with awful service like this!

Just as the other reviewers wrote, Joe and his crew did a quality job and were very professional and conscientious.

On time and efficient every day. Great job and they kept the work site very clean. They even replaced topsoil and seed after concrete forms were removed

It went great This is by far the best contractor we have used for all of our projects to date. Joe and his crew showed up and worked until the job was complete and they didn't cut any corners to get done faster. They cleaned up the whole area even in the street. I would recommend him to anyone that needs work done. We are having him come back to do our siding and roof. Good quality company.

Joe Piechocki (the J in Jand S---also the correct spelling of his name) came by the same day I called, to take measurements, and advise us as to how he would do the work and what it would involve. He gave us the estimate promptly the next day. His estimate was less than the other one we received. He immediately gains your confidence. He is very conscientious, no nonsense and won't do the job without drawing a city permit. He is a pleasure to deal with. He has reportedly done about 500 porches. He is very honest, low-keyed and doesn't try to sell you more expensive railings, but helps you to make common sense choices. He allowed us to make full payment upon completion of the job. His longstanding crew of three other people were very professional, conscientious and held Joe in high esteem. They were also a pleasure to deal with. He does things when he says he will. He cleans up and the finished porch and driveway approach look great. I got a rough quote from him to fix our basement leak and he said he only does it one way, he considers the right way, as he stands behind his work. He also gives referrals to other contractors he considers reliable. I would highly recommend Jand S and would definitely use them again as needed.

Joe of J and S came out and gave me estimate for doing work was thorough and efficient,he was 3 contractor I had come and give estimate.Their estimate was half what I was quoted by other contractors,both large companies.Decided to have Jand S do work,we had a delay in start of work because of July4th. holiday and then several days of 100 degree heat in area.When work was started it was quickly and effeciently,they actually did more work than we had agreed on but didn't charge me extra,in all was agreat experience and would highly recommend them for any work you need done.

One of the things I liked about them is that the technican that came out was able to point out a number of things that I had not noticed. I had them come out because there were a variety of code violations that needed to be brought into compliance so I appreciated the expertise this company showed. It added value to the experience. I felt confident that we would only need to do this job once so I will use them again in the future.
