 + -1 moreThe salesman Dennis came to the house as scheduled and discussed the various options with me. Even though his estimate was the highest of 5, I went with his company because of the high degree of satisfaction that I had read about them and for the few hundred dollars more, I felt they would do the best job. I was not disappointed. The work started the day it was scheduled and ended just a few hours later than I was told. The guy's that did the work were courteous and did not seem to mind that I was l watching their progress most of the time. The only mishap was taken care of promptly and the end result was a professionally looking install. The day after the install Dennis took care of some incidentals, inspected everything and of course collected the payment for the install. I liked the fact that I did't have to put any money down for the project and if things were not to my satisfaction I could withhold payment until I was completely satisfied. The install went smooth and from what I could tell everything was installed correctly, time will tell. All in all the process was smooth and with a minimum of mess. Thanks to Dennis and his crew for all the hard work and attention to detail.

Description of Work: Missed their first appointment. When called they got snarky and said their crew would be at our home before day's end. They were not. I waited for a call the next day. No one called so I called, no one apologized for never showing up. They came out the following day. They indicated we need a new AC and possibly furnace and said someone would call with a price. Three months later--still no call. Apparently they are too busy to sell us new air handling equipment.

 + -1 moreIt took a bit longer than we expected( a few day) as you all remember last summer was very HOT so the sooner the better. But the installer did a super job of tearing down the old furnace and duct work to put in the new. the furnace and duct work was original to our house so was a very dirty job to do. Everything is working fine!!! All though the hole they filled with cement where the old furnace was,wasn't very good cement and has been chipping and eroding away. we will have to remove and redo that part. (We have yet to receive our rebates that were to be taken care of by the company,not sure what is up with that. have called 3/4 times since done but to no avail. seems to have been pushed off to some else and never followed up on there end. My husband not very happy about that,me either:(

 + -1 moreWill Gee came and gave a fair estimate for a new boiler furnace. Will has his degree in this field and was very thorough. I called one day and he was out the next morning, it seems he lives only a mile from my house too. He grew up helping his father and really knows the in's and outs of heating and cooling. I would recommend getting Gee and Missler for an estimate. I went with another company due to brand I wanted they did not use.

Description of Work: we had a complete HVAC system replaced that was original to the house in 1986. We also had them replace an aging water heater with a tank-less version. we were recommended this company by an old friend and we couldn't have been happier with their work. there was a slight delay in the starting of the job due to not having received the items needed from suppliers. Once started everything went well. They were not the cheapest of the three quotes we got, but the professionalism gave us the confidence to award the job to them. They were even kind enough to complete a small plumbing job unrelated to the install.

 + -1 moreIn the consumer world today, customer service and quality are two of the most overlooked services that businesses provide. This is certainly not the case with Gee and Missler. They are a top notch company that pride themselves on the quality of their products, customer satisfaction, and installation services! Dennis came out and provided us with a quote for new furnace, air filter and humidifier. He was very thorough and answered all questions. After receiving quotes from other local companies, Gee and Missler was not only the best price, but also was also informative, friendly, punctual and fair. Dennis explained that for the size of our home we did not need a bigger furnace like the either companies suggested. On the day that work started they got down to business quickly and were very friendly and respectful of our home. The installers were introduced to us before the installation process and they made sure my wife and I had a thorough understanding of what the process would entail. The installers gave us a detailed run through on how to operate our new furnace, humidifier and thermostat. After the completion of the installation our basement was thoroughly cleaned by the team. We cannot recommend Gee and Missler enough if you are looking for great products and quality service.
Description of Work: We had a new furnace, humidifier, filter and programmable thermostat installed. Old furnace unit was removed and disposed.

 + -1 moreI called in the morning and Carl came that evening almost to the minute when I was told he would arrive. Carl was professional and explained to me everything he was doing. It was a dirty job but he was pleasant the entire time. If I had to call again, I would definitely request Carl.

 + -1 moreWent well. Dennis came out quickly and worked up a quote. We agreed and work was started in 45 days. Dennis was also the overseer of the job. Major work in the attic. Air was directed through flexable duct from attic thru closets to first floor. Workers had obviously done this before. Duct was snaked above lst floor ceiling creatively. A few small cracks in 2nd floor ceiling were created from all the work done in attic, discount was given. Good quality work was done. Company was honest and trust worthy.
Description of Work: AC installed in attic of cement slab home. Also had boiler installed several years ago. Good people.

 + -1 moreCarl, the technician on site arrived 2 hours prior to his scheduled arrival (a big plus) and was able to get our heat back on the day after Christmas. The call/request was placed the same morning (early 8am) and Carl arrived at 2:30pm that afternoon. He spent about 3 hours on-site and after replacing the more inexpensive components in an attempt to repair the unit, he ultimately replaced the gas regulator. It's now working great and it's a real pleasure after being without heat since Christmas eve to have a warm house again. Carl was very courteous, neat, organized, explained what he was doing along the way and a real pleasure to work with. Thank you, Carl.
Description of Work: My residence is heated via a boiler and we lost heat on Christmas eve. On Dec 26, the unit was trouble-shot and the following components were replaced: thermal coupler, rollover safety and gas regulator.

I was told by the person who I made the appointment with that I would have the first appointment of the day (8:00 a.m.); however, the service tech called at 8:00 a.m. to say he was on his way and that the 8:00 a.m. is a "leave the shop time." I suppose there could have been some miscommunication between myself and the person who made the appointment. He checked the unit and added what he referred to as a "small amount" of freon. I assume he did everything he should have; although I really have no way of knowing since I have no knowledge of air conditioning units. He did go into the basement and offered me some tips on cooling and heating efficiency. The service call was $70 for one hour and $40 for the freon.
Description of Work: I hired the company to check my air conditionng unit for efficiency, problems, etc.

We put in three furnaces in three homes and all of them were done by Gee & Missler. The services that I've asked them to do they have never had a problem with doing it and they have always been there within a reasonable time. They clean up after themselves and do a very good job and they are very professional.

 + -1 moreThey are wonderful. Since the installation work, I purchased the maintenance plan. They come out once a year to inspect the furnace and ac. They clean it and service what is needed. They are very professional and thorough. The salesman was really nice and knowledgeable. I knew I wanted an energy efficient furnace and ac unit. He brought the information to me. He did not steer me towards the lowest or highest priced unit but the best quality unit for my home. My furnace is 898 % efficient. They also relocated my thermostat to the center of our home so it would be more appropriate for the size in my home. I can preset the heating and cooling. We don’t have to change or manipulate the temperature. They cleaned up well and got the job done.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreOn 4/23/2012, our hot water heater quit working. We relit the pilot but the main burner would only stay lit for less than a minute and kick off, taking the pilot flame with it. Contacted Gee and Missler who sent out a repairman within 15 minutes. Problem was diagnosed as a faulty thermocouple and a new assembly was ordered. The part was shipped "next day" and was, in fact, received the following afternoon. Contacted Gee and Missler again and their repairman was immediately sent out to replace the faulty assembly. The new unit was installed within an hour and we had our hot water heater made functional again. The situation was corrected promptly. Have had other heating and cooling work performed by Gee and Missler in the past and have always been treated courteously and professionally. Jobs were always completed successfully and as quickly as possible. The total charges were for labor and next day shipping of the new thermocouple assembly. There was no charge for the new unit by the manufacturer even though our heater was out of warranty because there were noted issues with this heater's original thermocouple assemblies that have been subsequently corrected with the updated units.
Description of Work: Broken water heater thermocouple was diagnosed, new one was ordered and replaced the following day.

 + -1 moreThe situation was never fixed. I had to call another company to fix it which cost me an astronomical amount of money.
Description of Work: I had a new furnace installed. I told the sales rep that I wanted a large enough furnace so as to heat the second floor. He assured me the large furnace I purchased would do this. After the furnace was installed I noticed it was not blowing hot or cold air upstairs. I called for them to come back out after a couple of years to check this out as it took me that long to notice it after a water pipe broke in my upstairs due to it being so cold. When I told him that the furnace was not performing as he said it would and I was not getting heat or air in the large upstairs bedroom he called me crazy. I than called the owner, who was just as unaccomodating. He would not return calls, and was hestitant to deal with the problem. When I finally was able to talk with him after many attempts, he was also reluctant to rememdy the problem, but said he would come out and look at it. His way of fixing this problem was to put duct tape on the heat vents in the basement so as to blow cold air in the upstairs bedroom, which did not work, not to mention the fact that I than had no heat vents in the basement. Very shabbly customer service, and they DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK. If you do not wish to be insultted by the salesmen, which by the way, the owner did nothing about, and want quality service with a consistent warranty, I would not recommend this company, by no means, and would never use them again!

The salesman was top notch: he was very clean, explained everything about the units I was looking at, and was courteous and extremely professional. They gave me many choices on AC units, explaining the benefits of the different units, and they explained how the whole project would occur. They were in and out in one day. I was very pleased with my experience with them.
