I have used them for many remodeling. I recommended them to many people. Compared to other companies in the area they were 5 stars.

I was asking to receive a quote to bring a rental property up to code. They said a sales person would go and look at the property. About 2 weeks later a admin person called and stated that the sales person wanted to tell me 95/hr before we proceeded. I said that's fine but please give me an estimate on how many hrs. Never heard back. The conversation in my opinion was not very professional and i really believed they were trying to tell me no thanks but just wouldn't say so up front. Waste of time.

They were very responsive, professional, and on time and maybe their work would have been great, but way out of my price range, for $7000 for a tiny little kitchen and just counters and backsplash, and one window. t Was really hoping they would work with me, maybe help me figure out an inexpensive way to get new granite counters into that kitchen. I got no helpful suggestions, just worst case scenarios and a ridiculous quote. He told me the window was $900, but could not break down the rest of the cost for me. I ended up having someone come in and remove the old counter tops, and prime and paint the back splash, for $250, and had granite installed for $1495, 1 slab. Wallside said they would do the window for $500. Less than $2,500,that's what I'm talking about. =)

New roof was finished May 28, 2014. They tore off and installed the roof in 1 day. The workers were very professional. They removed all material and cleaned up the entire work area. No nails or debri left on the property. I liked their process of removing the back portion of the roof first and then installing the shingles on the back of the house before completely tearing off the front of the house. This process proofed to be the best because in the afternoon it started raining and lasted for approximately 3 hours. There were no issues with the back of the house because it was finished. However, water leaked into my home in the front, even though the roof was covered with tarps. The rain damaged the front entry way of the interior of the house. DA Home Improvement handled this problem immediately by repairing the drywall and painting the area. I was happy with the final outcome of both the roof and interior job. DA Home Improvement also installed a prefab three season aluminum patio room with a poly roof system to an existing deck, attached to the back of my home. Also they installed 4 inch thick, 15x11 concrete pad (patio area) to the back of the home. Again they were very professional and the work was completed to my satisfaction. All building material was removed and I have no complaints with any people that worked on this project. This was a longer process. Our first meeting was April 18, 2014. The room was not finished until October to my disappointment because I looked forward to using the patio and room for our family events during the summer of 2014. There was a lot of red tape getting the city of Livonia to issue permits. However, DAHome Improvement and their work staff and engineers worked with the city and finally got the job approved and finished. I am sitting on the porch on this beautiful spring day in 2015 enjoying my porch and wanted to share this experience with Angies List. The salesman Jim Ledbetter and office staff, Linda, Monica and Amanda are awesome.

We decided not to do the work and consider moving instead. If I was going to have the work done, I would have hired them. I know several people who have had work done and they are all very pleased with the quality.

They did very good work. They leave no mess behind at all. The price is a bit higher than others but you pay for the better work. I am going to be using them again in a couple of months.

It took much longer then expected. We were told three to five days and it took three weeks.

I was looking for some help with putting my basement back together after the flooding last summer and wanted to go with a local company. I found D A Home Improvement via Angie's list search. I had purchased a new product as the flooring option for my basement, made to be used in garages, but I wanted to use indoors. They did a fabulous job with the flooring and helped me find a good option, read not to expensive but looks great, wainscoting. Also gave a such a good price on re-doing my kitchen cabinets and counter that I could not pass up to chance to have the kitchen redone. I needed more help with picking out finishes for the kitchen and their Mr Lee Kelly was wonderful. I found the work men ( Paul, Clarence and James) to be through, very prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and overall did a wonderful job! The entire job was mostly finished in about a week, just a couple days over for last minute punch list items.

Everything went very smoothly. The job was done to correct a problem that another installer failed to do. We are very happy with the work done.

Ken showed up on time and discussed my remodeling project for a basement in my rental property. He was great to talk with and get ideas of what could be done. However, follow-up was poor. Didn't hear from him for 2 weeks regarding a quote, and when he did contact me, he didn't provide a written quote, just an email with a final price. I told him his "quote" was beyond my budget, but would be interested in getting a more detailed quote and ideas of what could be done within my budget. He promised he would get that to me in a couple days. It's been almost a month with no response.

Company was very impressive and brought masonry expert along with sales representative to the house to consider options. They seemed very knowledgable and they were definitely in the running to handle the work; only concern is the length of time it took them to compile the estimate (more than a couple weeks) which required my follow-up to obtain. There was an extensive amount of work to be done so some delay was understandable. By the time the quote was available and the time of year it was not feasible to get work done that season, and I had to put the project on hold for unrelated reasons the following spring.

This company fallowed the arranged contract, but failed to followup with work that needed to be completed as of this date, September 11, 2014. I have called several times requesting for my services that I have paid for to be completed, but have not received any adequate response. Therefore, I am very disappointed with this Company.

The job was probably $1200 because it included plumbing. They were good. They did what they said they were going to do at the price they said. They were an honest bunch of guys who came over here and worked.

They were very efficient and timely.

I wasn't too impressed at all. They didn't fix the problem. They didn't follow up with me when they said that they were going to get information about a part. They came out but did nothing. I paid money for them to do nothing. They said the problem was something and that they would have to order a part. They said they would get back with me. They never got back with me. I ended up having to hire somebody else. It wasn't that part but something completely different, which cost $10. D A Mechanical tried to charge me $400. Honestly, they failed me and didn't do anything for me. The price of the big deal was fine, which is why I bought it.

They seem like a good company. But the deal didn't make sense for me as it would have been the cheapest tile and there were some extra fees that were not worth paying given we will need to do more work in the next few years.

The salesman provided a date that work would be performed and the date kept moving forward later and later. The price is as much Angies List fault. NEVER will I use the Angie List special paying up front for a discount service. It is all too shady and you cannot believe what the deal says. Competitive bidding is erased after committing ahead paying upfront for the discount. Angie List itself listened to my complaint but I hated this fiasco . I feel I paid for the labor as much as if I had paid for the tile and labor together. $ Angie discount was $275 total cost. The labor was 3x as much . i know sq footage comes into account. Do not use Angie Discounts. I would never use this vendor ..... I signed the contract in June 2013.... they did not install until August.

They took forever to schedule then never showed up eventually we asked for a refund.

The people performing the work were of the utmost caliber and professionalism. I was not pleased with the service leading up to the work. Given we were expecting a child at the time we were very much looking forward to having the project well started prior to/or during my wife's maternity leave. Unfortunately the project did not start until my wife had to return to work and well into her return did it finish. Calls to the salesperson and administration at DA were less than cordial and it was as if we were "bothering" them to find out a start date. I understand that there are other projects but prior to signing the deal the world is promised, yet after the deal is signed you are lucky to get a handful of soil (Yes a bit of an overstatement). I have had worse service if that is a plus. Again, excellent finished product..... Up front needs some work. I also did not get my potty seat for my 2 year old that was "part of the deal". Maybe that adds to the sting of the up front service.

Ultimately the backsplash came out looking A-1. I would definitely recommend them for a backsplash completion. Well done
