Robin Aire Heating & Cooling

Waited a few days for a circuit board to be repaired which is to be expected however I was charged $820 for 2.5 hours of labor and the part. Part is $190 anywhere online. So, $731 for the part and installation plus the $89 Diag Charge (Diag charge I'm OK with). Called to discuss the charge and was told basically the flat rate is the flat rate pay me. Buy the way the $820 was after a 25% discount for being a maintenance plan customer with them. $292.00 an hour for labor?? Never again Robin Aire. Furnace is 20 years old so guess who will not be getting the $10,000 replacement job when it eventually will be needed. Side note: Tech was great and did exactly what he needed to do to replace the part. No complaints with the tech. Just seen their reply. What a joke as the other day they tried to explain their pay me pricing. If you want to spend several times more then you should they are the company for you. They should have made this right with a $200 credit of the bill and retained a customer but here we are and what a bad business decision for Robin Aire. Guess I will be posting this every time I'm asked about their company.

We just had our vintage 1973 air conditioner replaced. Robin Aire did a tremendous job! Jason, the sales tech, was thorough and very honest and professional. The installation team did some fabrication work on our ducts and it is first-rate. We highly recommend this company and will return to them if we need any more work in the future. We give it FOUR thumbs up!

Mike arrived to our home and provided an estimate for a new furnace and A/C system. Very professional and courteous. Seemed very knowledgeable and answered my questions easily. Although we ended up going with a different HVAC system, I would have no hesitation recommending this company and will likely use them for any service we may need in the future. Excellent.

But, they installed the furnace about a year ago. Actually it didn?t cost me anything, because I had just bought the furnace. They were really, really, good. The price was really good too. When you buy the furnace, the first 2 years of stuff are free anyway. They are very professional, when they are installing something, they clean up everything and they take it with them and don?t leave anything behind. The workers were very professional and they don?t act like jerks. They show you everything that you might need to know about, whatever the service is at the time. They still do my furnace and air conditioning.

My dad called Robin Aire initially from Groupon to have his heater inspected and have his air ducts cleaned out. The person doing the inspection came out and found 2 significant cracks in the heating vents, which made sense since the unit was probably a good 15 - 20 years old. He strongly recommended replacing it for health reasons, and we did so, opting for the most energy efficient unit. He was very professional and friendly, explaining the pros and cons of each unit and didn't try to upsell us on anything (we did end up with the most expensive one, but that was our own decision). Robin Aire was holding a promotion at the time that made getting a new A/C unit very cost effective as well, so we purchased that too. The installation went quickly and smoothly, as did the duct cleaning. I would definitely recommend Robin Aire for anyone looking to have any of these services completed in Oakland County.

The office personnel, Stacy specifically, was instrumental in setting up our appointment and getting things started. The service tech that came out and did the evaluation and figured out what I actually needed and came back to do the work when the parts arrived, Don Hahn, estimated that the actual work for the part would only take about 25 minutes and that's what it took. They stayed with their price and the job was done well. Communication was great, and they came out when they said they would. It was a successful installation and operation when the furnace is in heat mode. Thanks to you, Don, for your professionalism and thoroughness. One of the extras they provided free of charge was a fiber optic inspection of the furnace to evaluate the condition of the heat exchanger. That insured that we had a system that met safety standards and wouldn't emit carbon monoxide fumes. He also took some other measurements to make sure there was appropriate air flow in the heating ventilation system.

I would use them again in the future.

They cut my phone line. I paid 13,000 for a complete heating system and my upstairs is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

From start to finish - a fantastic customer experience! I work for a large technology service provider and as a result I'm anything but easy to impress. However, Robin Aire may have provided the best service experience I've had for home repair type services. The initial call to the company was handled by a true professional. The onsite engineer - Don - was absolutely FANTASTIC! Thorough, professional and obviously skilled. The services we rendered quickly, effectively and at a fair price. I will use Robin Aire again and reference them to all my friends and family!

This is by far the best experience I have had with a service provider. The scheduler was very pleasant and efficient. Nick arrived as scheduled and was very professional yet friendly and he respected my home. When I explained what was going on he immediately suspected what the problem was and told me the potential outcomes. The trap had become completely filled with water and the furnace couldn't move the air, so the motor would cycle and then shut off. By the time Nick got there the motor was very hot and he was concerned that it had potentially burned out. That would have been a very expensive repair. Fortunately, Nick was able to clear out the lines and drain the trap. He gave me several other recommendations but he was not at all doing any high pressure sales. You know, I always worry when I have to hire someone for a repair. There have been several times when people have tried to pull fast ones on me. Nick very easily could have told me that the motor was burned out and charged me a lot of money to fix it. I never would have known. Thankfully, he was honest and performed only what was needed. This is my new AC company, hands down!!!

They did a top notch job all the way around! Neat and clean in and around our home and pets. They were diligent about monitoring the temperature in our home during the furnace replacement! Plus they assisted with the processing of ALL the applicable rebates and paperwork. We were so impressed we returned to them when our water heater failed a few months later!!!

Excellent, We have annual normal maintenance on the furnace, and the vents were cleaned and sanitized.

Everything went exactly as promised when we signed the contract. The workers even removed and took away our huge chest freezer without charge -- it was damaged during the flood and was so heavy I had no idea how we were ever going to get it out of our basement.

It went very well. Did more than I even expected. Explained what they were going to do and did it. Even answered my questions along the way.

They were prompt, they were courteous, they did what needed to be done and they explained everything as they went through it.

They are so professional and friendy, the work was done with care, the man takes care to explain everything that was done. I have a maintence plan with them and have used them for sump pump work and other plumbing.

The reason I called them back was they had done work for me before and I was happy. They have done work on my furnace a year ago and my furnace worked good all last winter. I guess that says something. They were very thorough in cleaning up the compressor and the condenser on the air conditioner. They caught a couple of things that needed to be shaped up. They shaped them up and gave it a test run before they left. I was glad to turn the heat back on. They did mostly preventative maintenance on it. They had to teach me how to program a new thermostat, which they did nicely too. They explained everything very nicely what they did.

Very Punctual, professional. Attention to detail. They delivered on their committment. Would highly recommend them.
