They did an annual cleaning and replaced a part. We bought our furnace from them and they've done our annual cleaning and conditioning for 30 years. They are a local company. They're very busy as they are the only company in the small town I live. They are good, so you wait until the can come to you. They do excellent work. They come when they promise. You may not get next day service, or even next week service, but when they come they are very good. They do the work needed and nothing else. The worker is very good.

Tech arrived during the agreed upon time frame. He was clean and worked neatly. He was not put off by my large Maine C*** cat who likes to help repair people.

GLS replaced an old Gas Fired Boiler System with a new hi efficency system. They were very responsive to my inquiry and offered a number of quaility alternatives based on the availble budget Once a decision was made the installation was completed on time and without any unforseen complications The workers were very qualified and made a strong effort to avoid any disruptions to the hosehold, they also left the work area clean We are very pleased with the finished product

We were very happy with their service. We thought we needed a new furnace and we didn't have to replace our existing furnace after they gave us their opinion.

GLS is one of the few companies I have been able to find that know how to and are willing to service fuel oil-fired furnaces and water heaters in the area. Price is fair, technician always on time and does a thorough and professional job. Have gone through a number of other companies over the years, and I won't call anyone else anymore but GLS.

I got three estimates. They were in the middle price range, but I felt most comfortable replacing my old Lennox furnace with the same brand. They gave me the option of just installing A/C and keeping my current furnace until it failed, informing me that I would get a price break on the same type of furnace if it failed. They were not pushy, nor did they try to play on any fears of being without heat in the winter. I ultimately decided to replace the old furnace as well as install the A/C. They knew what they were doing, and took care to make sure the system would work properly. They took time to give me a tutorial on how to take care of it.

I was given several options, and owner was good at explaining them. Owner and his helper were knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Were willing to spend time explaining and showing me how to care for the furnace and A/C when job was done.

Overall, this was a very positive experience. Our old furnace was functioning, but was not adequately sending sufficient heat and cooling up to the third floor bedroom. Ken from Great Lakes State spent about an hour on the initial visit to assess our existing system and determine what was needed for the size and configuration of our home. We were very pleased with his proposal to install a new, larger furnace with a computerized zone control system that could be programmed to more evenly heat and cool different areas of the house at different times of day/night. Ken was very knowledgeable, professional and personable, which inspired our confidence in the firm. A crew of two technicians arrived on time on both days of the two-day installation. Crew members were also extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They worked hard for two days and explained what they were doing, how to operate the system, and answered our questions. They did a very neat, clean job and paid close attention to detail. The first evening the system was up and running, we were thrilled with the results. On a hot summer night, the upstairs bedroom was cool and comfortable for the first time in 10 years, while the main living areas downstairs also maintained a consistent, comfortable temperature. What a difference!
