Description of Work: The blade on my lawnmower was wobbling and I couldn't tighten it enough to stop the wobble. I left the mower in the morning and it was fixed by the afternoon. The thing the blade attatches to was worn out and had to be replaced | |One thing to watch out for -- they only accept cash as payment. There is a notice on the door, but I didn't see it when I droppod off the mower. I didn't have enough cash to pay for it when I picked it up and I would have had to drive all the way back to the west side of Lansing to get $10. But he let me take the mower and send the rest of the payment.

Description of Work: I took my lawn mower (push mower) in to D & G to have the pull cord repaired. When I called them to see if this was a service they could do and the approximate cost, the service department said they could and it should cost about "$20 to $30" and would be a fairly quick repair. Well, I brought the mower to them on a Friday and filled out paperwork which included my name and phone number. |After a week (the following Friday) went by and I hadn't heard from them, I finally called them. The guy I spoke to said "Oh, the mower needs a part..the part is $42." I don't know WHY they didn't call me sooner to let me know this part was needed. I told them to go ahead and complete the repair, and he told me that it should be done by the next day (Saturday). I did not hear from them again until the following Tuesday, when they finally said my mower was done and could be picked up. | When I went in to get the mower, the repair bill came to $105. I wasn't too happy about the price, BUT since they did have to get a part for the mower and their estimate on the phone was just that, an estimate, I didn't protest the price. Though there sure is a big difference between "$20 to $30" and $105. There were also some things added on like a "disposal fee". I am not sure what that was for. |The people I dealt with were very friendly and the mower works fine, so I assume the repair was done correctly. I would probably use D & G again, however next time I will try to get a more exact estimate on the price and I hope it doesn't take quite as long.
