The owner nailed the design. I think the crews went above and beyond. They having been doing follow up touch ups and are very responsive. We have people stopping by to see who the landscaper was.

First, the owner Jim had good ideas for the project and how to integrate the drainage solution. He also had some suggestions for reducing costs. I changed my original design to include some of his suggestions. He is obviously very experienced and knowledgeable. We had several meetings before the project started. Jim was always punctual. The crew was hardworking and skilled. They were here on time and worked long days. They were meticulous and did high quality work. This was a major project and every day it was obvious that they accomplished a lot. Project took about seven days. This was a total tear up of my backyard -- but the crew put everything back together and fixed my lawn before they left. The finished project looks outstanding - I am very pleased with West Oaks. Highly recommend.

Very good experience. I had several companies quote this job and their design was the most creative and affordable. They showed up on time and did everything they said they would do.

Overall, they were fine at the start. He seems very knowledgeable, but apparently with their busy workload customer service is slipping. We were left disappointed, and scrambling to find another solution. Since they never performed any services, I can't comment on their workmanship.

I am very pleased with their work and they were very good overall. Their price was good and they moved quickly. They were concerned about my satisfaction. They had the best price. I would probably use them again.

Jim, the owner, was great to work with from beginning to end. We've been in touch with him almost every year with new projects he's helped us out with. This year we're looking into having build our patio in the back and do some landscape work (add more trees for privacy). He's really good with listening to what we want and submitting a hand drawn design for our review. He is also very flexible and courteous when we want to add/change something during the project. Would definitely recommend him!

I liked them very well. They were very accommodating when we asked for any details to be put in. It was a lot of money but their prices were good. I have heard horror stories about landscaping but I think their prices came in very well. We were able to negotiate with him on the prices and he wasn't unreasonable about that. He was more interested in doing a good job than padding his price. They were in a reasonable price range and they delivered what they promised. We had called for three quotes and they were the only ones that actually came out and gave us a quote. He came ahead of time and was very professional. The quality is great and I would recommend him, and have. I am planning to use him again in the future.

We went with someone else that gave us the same service but a little more reasonable price. West Oaks was very professional. The customer service they provided was certainly very good. Every aspect of the quoting process was fine, but we ended up going with someone else.

The owner was very nice and professional but it seemed my landscape work was not at the top of his priority list, it took 2 weeks to get him to come out quote and after that another 2 weeks to get the quote (only received after I sent an email asking where it was). When I received the quote it was very expensive however he did have some very creative ideas. I decided not to go with this company due to other quotes I received to just freshen up our existing landscaping instead of ripping eveything out and starting over.

We called three different companies listed in Angie's List to set up appointments for someone to come out, look at the job, and give us an estimate. West Oaks is the only company that called back within a timely manner. The owner came out, looked at the job, and said he would have his office manager send a bid via email the following Monday, which she did. We called the company to let them know we accepted their bid and to set up a date to start the work. They were unable to start the work on the original start date due to weather. Once the weather cleared, West Oaks started the work and finished it as promised. The owner came out several times to check on the job and the workers completed the job in a very professional manner. The work that was done actually exceeded our expectations. The owner had the workers grade our drive and had a load of gravel brought in and put down at no extra charge to us due to the amount of dirt that was dropped in the drive while transporting it to the backyard. We will definitely use West Oaks Landscaping again.

They were excellent and we have had excellent service from them. They were pretty professional and polite. I was very happy with them.

We are very happy. Jim and his crew exceeded ou expacations. The crew was hard working and always cleaned up before they left each day. the end result was a total transformation of the back yard. We could find no fault with anything. The whole process was smooth and painless and we love the new landscape.

The whole process went smoothly and the actualy work only took a few days once the sprinkler system was in.

I called West Oaks Landscape to get an estimate on major improvements I wanted to make on the front of my house. Owner, Jim Liebau, showed up promptly for our scheduled appointment, listened to what I had in mind, generally, and had a number of great ideas that would help achieve the warm, welcoming appearance I was hoping to bring to my house. Within just a couple of days he had emailed a detailed drawing and itemized estimate. We agreed on a rough starting time after my vacation. On the day the work was to begin, Jim and his five-man crew showed up ready to roll. Jim had brought all of the foilage so I could look at them before they went into the ground. The trees and plants were all very healthy looking, and all consistent with (or larger than) the sizes specified on the estimate. Within one day his crew had done all of the demolition work, done all the tranplanting and put in almost all of the new trees, shrubs, and boulders. The crew was very hardworking, polite and talented. They finished the transformation of my home in just 5 work days and did a great job. In addition to the contracted work, Jim and quot;threw inand quot; extra perennials to fill in spots where he thought a little more would be a further improvement, and also had his crew prune the worst of the overgrown shrubs at the back and side yards. Finally, I should note that they did a great job cleaning up, including a powerwash of my driveway! The finished project was everything I had hoped for and more. The price was fair and Jim and his crew went above and beyond in every way. I would not hesitate to recommend West Oaks for any landscaping project. In fact, I plan to call them back next spring to transform the rest of the yard.

Everything was on time and the cost was as quoted. It looks better than I even expected.

It was a fine experience. He showed up when he was supposed to and did the work, which was a good thing. He was very polite and professional. We have since sold the house and I don't know how well everything is holding up.

I was not very pleased with them. They had four different prices before their first job. They faxed one of the estimates to my husband and he swapped one of the jobs and tallied off the total of the other three aspects. He circled that number and sent it back. They showed up without calling us and did the fourth item that we did not want them to. At that point they kind of dropped us and we had not finished the work till august and we were supposed to have finished that by July. One good thing is that we did not have to pay for the fourth aspect which we did not want them to do. Everybody we spoke to in the office was really nice. I think they subcontracted some of the work. There were different aspects and different crews did different things. I think what happened was that they did not coordinate well. The people were nice. With everything said and done we were pleased with the results. The work took a lot longer than we anticipated. There were some errors made by them. I probably will not recommend them to others. They sealed part of the backyard before they cleaned it. They cleaned it and then resealed it. They put some sand which they did not put correctly. They came and fixed it. They came back and fixed everything that they did wrong. They were very nice but it took a long time to finish. When the work was finished we were pleased with them, but we had several issues along the way. My husband said that they were expensive and I think they could have changed some plans along the way and reduced the price. They could have dealt with the issues in a better way. There were three different crews involved. The lady in the office was very helpful. It is just that they had some miscommunication. The office staff was wonderful and they rectified every problem.

Jim came out to give us an estimate. Listened carefully as to what we wanted to keep and what could go. He made great suggestions that made sense. When asked about replacing our front walkway enterance, he came up with a great idea that we loved but could not afford at the time so we agreed to have him landscape it in anticipation of that future change. This man clearly loves what he does and it shows in his enthusiasm and his quality of work. It was all done in a week. They were quick and efficient. And because it was done inthe fall, we really didn't see the true beauty until the following spring. It looked fantastic. Many of our neighbors commented on how great our front yard looked. We'd had a couple of questions and a few of the new plants needed to be replaced. They were out within 2 days to replace them and to double check that every thing else was going well.

They were good. They did what they said they were going to do for the price that they said they were going to do it for. They got back to us in a timely manner, they showed up on time, they got the job done quickly, and they stood behind their work. If there was a question about anything, they were quick to come back out.

We loved Jim, the guy who came out to look at our yard--he seemed to get what we were looking for and to really listen to our needs--and we were all ready to go with West Oaks for the job based on our interaction with him. However, once his visit was over, all we received was a somewhat vague estimate, and all further contact was with the woman in the office--she was the one who fielded requests for further details and the questions we had. Her answers were cursory at best, and when we asked if we could talk to Jim because we weren't clear on what he had planned for us, she was the one who called instead and basically asked us to get moving on the deposit. After three or four times back and forth over several weeks, we gave up on working with them.

They have done work for our neighbors, too. The job went well. They did a very nice job. The price was fine.

Everything was excellent. The owner was very attentive and listened to our ideas before incorporating them into the design.

The team was professional, responsive and talented. The quality of the work was excellent. We will use West Oaks again. The company is clearly busy, which, compounded by the May rains, resulted in our job starting later than originally discussed. Communication was regula r once the job began.

They were just very friendly and reasonable on the pricing for the work. It was truly a positive experience. There were some added delays because of the weather and the time lines were a little bit more than what they represented. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

He did great work. It has been a super star experience so far. He is coming back to do some sodding. Everyone on the crew was capable and hard working. They were very functional together and did a tremendous amount of work in a short period of time. I would recommend this company to anyone.
