They were easy to work with.

The design that Jim provided was far and away the best of the proposals we received. The demolition team was amazing and the brick guys were artists. And no more water in the basement! We get so many compliments on this project. It was a great investment in our house.

Jim Liebau met with us the first part of the summer; he designed a master plan for our yard and we had several meetings regarding same; we wanted work started after Labor Day and he made that happen; Jim's hardscaping crew headed by Alex are creative and talented and Alex was a delight to work with; Jim and his entire staff gave us very good service and were always professional and accommodating.

It was an excellent experience. They worked full days, were completely organized and wasted no time. The site was cleaned up each day.

It is a great service to have a professional like Mr. Liebau come and make suggestions. Although we have not contracted any work currently, we may in the future. When Jim arrived on Saturday (on time for our scheduled appointment), he spent an hour walking around the exterior of our house offering one suggestion after another. He gave us such wonderful ideas and I clearly saw the potential. There was no charge for this consultation. About a week later, we received a quote sheet via email that priced out several options. This is where I was a little disappointed. Jim talked about phasing in different areas and the quote was only based on the front yard. I suppose if we were to actually contract him, he would spend time quoting us other projects.

We had originally called to find out what it might cost to put in a flagstone patio in our back yard and to add a tree or two to an otherwise boring side lot. Once we had Jim Liebau out here to look at the place, we started to think a little bigger. We asked him to do a comprehensive plan to rethink the way the porch was configured, to emphasize the most attractive bits of the house (arched portico with columns leading to to a big mahogany door) and deemphasize some not-so-attractive bits (lots of concrete sidewalk, dinged up brick foundation). We asked that the plan be broken up into projects that could be done over time so we could plan to install some stuff now and then add on later. Two weeks later, Jim returned with a really nice plan in three parts--house front and side, side lot and back yard. We definitely could not afford all the work but we were able to do more than we had expected, deciding to do the front and side lots this year. Many options were presented in terms of materials and overall look. We took a week or so to decide--with a side trip to the supplier to look at different bricks--and then started to arrange the work. We were not in a particular hurry so we did not mind that the weather was really stalling them on the jobs before us. Once they got started, it was go-go-go. The sidewalk removal and brick work was done by a masonry crew from West Oaks. They were very tidy and thorough and the work looks great. The design of the curved front steps echoes the arch in the portico and makes a small house look pretty grand. The landscape work started about a week later. A small army of men plus one bulldozer quickly turned a blah grassy expanse into a really nice looking extension of the front yard. We were lucky to get some really nice 10-12 foot birches at a great price. Instantly created a windbreak, a sound barrier and they will ultimately provide some shade, too. The hedges on one side of the front of the house were expanded to extend symmetrically around the new front steps. And finally, the beautiful hydrangeas were added which give us color where there wasn't much before. Those things bloom and bloom. We are very happy with the design and the quality of work.

They were very friendly. They listened to what we wanted and then they made suggestions of how to do it better. They did a good job. We felt the price was reasonable for what they did.

Jim and his team were fantastic to work with. They are very creative as well as responsive to any feedback that was given throughout the process. The landscape looks absolutely beautiful and has transformed the property. I would absolutely recommend Jim and his Team and have already done so. I will be using them again in the future for some additional work.

All went extremely well, the guys we here every day and worked hard. They checked with me about the design before starting as we made a slight change and the end product looks lovely, the workmanship is very good. This is a messy, noisy and dirty job and they were great about tidying up at the end of each day and finished the job very quickly. They had to bring all the materials in from the road due to the sprinkler system and laid down plywood to protect the lawn from wheel barrow tracks. They also had to work around the subdivision traffic and ourselves leaving the driveway and were very good about moving equipment as needed. Many neighbors have stopped by and comment on how good it looks (they even installed a nice selection of perennials in the planter). Great job overall.

The team worked hard through several unexpected obstacles (ie. abandoned septic tanks, old tree stump) never walking off, complaining or requesting more money. Always very professional and kind. We also really appreciated that while the installation was in progress, the guys always had an opinion or solution to make the job look even better. During the construction, the team was on site whenever weather permitted. When the job was finished, everything was cleaned up. The results are absolutely beautiful!

They were great! Jim Liebau came out and explained several options, the features of each and had suggestions I had not considered. They started the day after I gave the OK, were friendly and efficient. They performed the work within the time and cost estimate. Jim had suggestions for other projects I am considering for next spring, as well as recommending other companies for some work he does not feel qualified to do. I will definitely be hiring them again. His price was the lowest of the three estimates I received.
