William was excellent. He was prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgable, and flexible. We explained what we wanted done and he explained how to get there. His pricing was competitive and he was able to get the job started right away.

William and the Happy Painting crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of my home. From color selection to the work itself, the team was helpful, considerate, reliable, pleasant and delivered an excellent work product, on schedule. I used them 2 yrs ago for my interior and now exterior. Highly recommend for both!

I contacted Happy Painting to discuss painting the entire inside of our church. After a site survey, Happy Painting quoted a time frame for the project, supplied a quote and was hired. You can imagine the effort needed to paint a church working around all the activities going on weekly. When the time came to begin the project, Happy Painting showed up with crew on time and ready to go. They did a remarkable job, working around yoga, senior exercise group, choir practice, AA meetings and all the other activities of a busy church. They covered all the floor surfaces to avoid painting errors, provided us with a discount for the paint and did an outstanding job. Asked if I would hire them again, I already did to paint my own home. They went above and beyond all expectations. This is the third time I have hired them to paint for me and recommend them highly. Oh, I almost forgot, they came in way under budget too.

He did a very nice job, there were a couple of things that happened that were resolved by him so it was fine. It was very responsible of him. He was a very nice guy.

I hung the drywall and he did the patching and everything. Happy Painting did a good job. Just because I don't really have anything to compare it to, I'd say a B over-all. I know he did most of the work while I was at work. I mean, the job he did... you know, I hung the drywall myself so it was a pretty shoddy job to begin with, but he patched it up really, really good. I guess, the only thing I could complain about was, you know, some of the dust and the clean-up that was required but that comes along with the job so, you know, I guess I wouldn't really put that on them. Again, because I don't have too much to compare it to, I would say B for price. The quality was good. The quality was great. Great job. We did have to schedule around a couple of things but not bad.

William is a great contractor to work with. As a retired residential builder, I have worked with all types of contractors and tradesmen and Happy Painting is definitely in the top tier when it comes to quality and value. They are a pleasure to do business with.

William is amazing. He is very profesional, he advised me on the best type of painting to use, how to create more light for my basement, and lead the project working alongside his crew. The whole crew was amazing, correct and punctual. This is my first good review ever in Angie's List, that is how good Happy Painting was, and I have constantly moved, and I rarely come across someone with such work ethic and dedictation like William. His emotional intelligence makes it possible for him to understand exactly what the customer wants. I will definitely hire him again.! It was really a Happy Experience and I felt very comfortable with them.

William was great to work with. He was on time, did a great job and tried to complete as quickly as he could.

William was amazing from the start. I needed him to paint on certain days so I could move in as fast as possible and he obliged. He personally worked 15 hour days with his team to get the job done when I needed it done. He made some last minute changes that I requested with a smile and helped me with questions I had about color and type of paint because I was getting overwhelmed. Because he crammed all of his work into a few days, and had to work nights, there were a few areas that needed fixing that I noticed a few days later. Not only did he have someone out right away to fix those items, they thanked me for allowing them to address the issues rather than getting defensive or giving me a hard time. I love them and recommend them 100%!

I think he went over and above what was expected. Did an excellent job.

William and his time arrived on time each day and worked 12 hour days to give us our house back in a timely manner. The quality of their work was excellent and we would use them again.

I had initially hired William of Happy Painting to paint the entire condo for which I left a review earlier. I then had the floors done and the flooring contractor messed up some of the freshly painted walls and did not finish the base molding as promised, so I hired William of Happy Painting again to touch up the paint and finish the base molding in the entire condo (three floors). Not only did William do an excellent job of that, he suggested a work around to fix the horrible and unsafe way the flooring person had left my stairs with the overlap nosing that was loose. I hired William to fix the bamboo stairs as well, and now we can walk on them without hurting our feet or fear or them coming apart. He added shoe molding for extra support which I really appreciate. I also found him very trust worthy and gave him the keys to my place for my own comfort for the duration of the projects, which went on for about a week. (Also for the week it took to paint the condo initially). The other thing worth mentioning is the cleanliness. William takes care to return the place clean after the job is done, properly disposing everything in trash bags. Would gladly refer him to anyone.

We were not so happy with Happy Painting. We initially made contact and setup the job for three rooms including ceilings a month in advance, and Happy committed to Wednesday and Thursday to do the three rooms. They then called us to reschedule to Thursday and Friday which was fine. Prior to arrival we confirmed the schedule and Happy then changed it again saying they would only be there Thursday, and if they need to they would come Friday. While we were initially delighted that the job may be complete in one day we were not prepared for this and did not have all the rooms ready. Happy asked we move everything out and have them ready to paint. So not the best start but we adjusted and hoped things would get better, unfortunately it was still a slippery slope. The owner had his team member arrive at 7:30AM or so to tape, and the owner filed in about an hour later. He surveyed our three rooms and said it was too much space and would have to charge more. So I got out the tape and measured, and the three rooms were under the total square footage on the Angie's Deal. So he was concerned they would have to work very late to finish and this undertone of their "not making any money on the deal" permeated the day. They got to work on the ceilings and started doing edges. His team member was painting color over the newly painted ceiling, which I pointed out. This brought concern to the owner and he had to fix it. Throughout the day where his team member painted the quality was noticeably different. I pointed out a lot of touch up spots and the owner would have to fix them. They left at 8 PM or so, and it was a long day. While we recovered, we noticed at least a dozen areas that were showing the old paint and had to touch them up. Happy also didn't remove the intake vents and just painted over them while they were on the wall which showed horrible coverage. We removed them and touched them up. Also, while painting over the vents, a hidden stud was painted over behind the vent exposing it. WeI had to go get black paint and hide this stud again. While I could have called Happy back to rectify these issues, I was more than mildly annoyed at this point and just did it myself. It was a few hours of work no doubt. I wouldn't use happy again given all the concerns we had and chose them due to the stellar rating on Angie's list. It looks like others have had better luck so maybe it was just an unhappy day for Happy.

We met with William the owner of Happy Painting the end of May. At that time he measured all rooms and walls and provided us with an estimate. This was a rather big job. We have a 2100 square foot home, with 9 foot tall walls, and 9 rooms to be painted. All ceilings were to be done in white except for the 2 bathrooms. He wanted $2400.00 to paint 2 coats on all walls and ceilings, 50.00 for each dry wall repair. We had quite a few. He had to mud and sand some of the ceilings and walls. We were to purchase the paint. He gave us a very accurate estimate on the price of paint and offered to meet us at Sherwin Williams to purchase the paint under his name allowing us to take advantage of his contractor prices. The total job was $4000.00. He began work on 6-17-2015 and completed the job on 6-24-2015. He only took one day off. His work ethic is above reproach. He puts a lot of pride in his work and it shows! The completed job is wonderful. We will definitely hire William, Happy Painting, for all our future painting jobs.

Was planning on painting a couple of rooms myself but saw a deal for a painter for the day. Was money very well spent! Painter was professional and did a great job. (Way better than I could of done in twice the time) Even though it looked like the task of getting two mid-sized rooms done in a day was a tall order, he worked very quickly and only required an extra hour over the time already paid for. For the amount of space and the quality of the work, I didn't have a problem with that. Will be using again...

Arrived promptly, professional, explaining all details of work. Able to complete in timeline. Would not hesitate to use again. Highly recommended.

Purchased a "painter for a day" deal because we needed a number of ceilings painted as well as a stairwell (walls), and we weren't going to have time to do it ourselves -- so we decided to try a professional painter for the first time. William was a pleasure to work with and did a great job, he worked hard to get the job done in the time the deal allowed, to minimize additional costs to us. He also did some nice add-on work (like caulking a few places as part of the painting) as needed, and cleaned up following the job. The paint and finished rooms look great! We'll keep him in mind for future painting jobs - and highly recommend him to others who are looking for any painting work needing to be done.
