My carpet is beautiful. The installation excellent.

Jeff Dean, the owner met us to view samples for the carpet and tile. We selected the carpet based on his samples that day. He brought two samples for the kitchen flooring, based on what I had told him I had seen in a retail store. Upon seeing the colors in the kitchen, decided that it would not be a good match. Jeff gave me the address for tile supplier for the brand that I had selected. At my request, he assisted me in removing a small cabinet door to take with me to the tile supplier then I made the final color choice. The men that installed the tile in the kitchen and the utility area of the basement did an excellent job. It was a father and son team. It took 2.5 days for the entire job to be done. On the final day, I had a conflicting meeting so I let them in and had to leave, knowing that they might be finished before I could return. They finished the job, cleaned up and locked up securely. The only negative issue was this...the younger gentleman was smoking outside so I told him that he could not smoke inside the house and he agreed to that. Later that day, I smelled cigarette smoke so went out to see why. When I spoke with the son and asked him why I was smelling smoke, he said that he had a cigarette while he was bringing supplies into the house. I told him that that was not acceptable and that he was not do to it again. From them on, he finished smoking before he entered the house. The carpeting installation was done by a different team. They removed the existing carpeting from the living room then installed new carpet in the living room, hallway and 3/4 of the basement and stairs. There was a lot of cut and tack work for the stairs. They did an excellent job and finished all in one day.

Work began within 3 weeks with the prep, which included unexpected manual labor of scraping old carpet pad and glue off hardwood floors. (Yes. We found out too late that there had been hardwood floors under the carpet; if we had known, we may have chosen to have that refinished). In any case, we were not charged extra for the difficult additional labor. Those workmen, hired by the owner for this job, were efficient and professional. The owner had panned for the carpet work to be completed before the vinyl crew arrived; however, due to the unforeseen delay in carpet prep, they were in the house at the same time. That was NOT good. The crew hired for the vinyl work included 3 men, one of whom was unprofessional with his co-workers in expressing his frustration loudly and with some expletives. Meantime, we were out on a screened porch as the whole house was occupied. The screen porch was full of all our furniture and difficult to navigate and one day it poured rain. Also, the carpet workmen knocked a television off it's stand where the vinyl guys had moved it, while they were carrying furniture back in. We were reimbursed for the cost of a new TV. The flooring looks great and we're very glad it's done!

Within a day or two of the initial call, the owner brought carpet samples to our home, and helped us select styles and colors. I appreciated his candor in gently cautioning us about one color that we liked for our family room, but that in hindsight, wouldn't have looked nearly as good as the one we finally went with. About a week later, our carpet order was in and the installers arrived as scheduled. The men were courteous and hard-working, and did a terrific job throughout the house, especially given that they had numerous tricky angles and tight spaces to deal with in the basement. They cut and rolled up all the old carpet, and carried it out to the garage to await trash pickup later in the week. One of the men even did a quick repair job on a basement step that we hadn't known was broken, and also phoned us later in the evening when he'd remembered having spotted a slight leak in one of the pipes near where he was laying the new carpet. This is the second time we've used this company, and we'd gladly call them again the next time we need flooring work done.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and the owner was both accessible and informative. He brought samples to our home, explained how the install process would work, and kept in touch during the job when unexpected things came up (e.g., once the old carpet was pulled out, we found out the risers on the stairway were unfinished, and had to be sanded and painted before the new runner went in). After the job was done, he came back to our home just make sure the finished work met his standards as well as ours.

I HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE HELPFUL WITH THE SELECTION OF THE CARPET THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB OF LAYING THE CARPET. THEY WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY.
