The work performed is extremely armature quality. My driveway was not graded properly and now I have puddles in front of the steps leading to the front porch. The quality of the asphalt used is inferior quality as it is very grainy with a rough finish. The brick border looks as if they used a liquid cement to install the bricks, and failed to remove the over pours. My driveway is no longer black asphalt, as it is covered with the cement over pours from the brick. The resurfacing of the front porch is a different color with bare spots bleeding through the finished (so called finished) product. With regards to the downspouts, they burried them in the flower beds, and covered the ends with dirt and mulch. when it rains, the water cannot drain, and I get a waterfall effect from my gutters in front of the house. It also washes away the mulch in the flower beds. They did not install a release cap that allows the water to drain freely. The owner came by to collect the balance of the monies due (50%) and I refused to pay. I asked him if this looked like a brand new driveway, to which he replied, no. He indicated he would make the job right, and that was the last time I heard from him. I sent certified letter to the address on his contract form and it could not be delivered. I tried faxing the letter to the fax number on his contract, and it is disconnected. They will not return my phone calls, and he uses or hides behind an answering service. Other firms I contacted indicated this job needs to be ripped out and replaced, and the brick cannot be re-used, requiring additional purchase to be made to replace the brick. This firm should be removed from Angie's list immediately. I have taken pictures and only wish I could post them here as a demonstration of the poor quality of work performed. Took this vendor to small claims court, and was awarded a complete refund of the deposit monies paid. It took over a year to collect on the settlement, including 2 additional trips to court. When I notified the judge they had assets such as a dump truck, bucket Loaded and other equipment used in carrying out their work, and asked they freeze these assets so I could force a sale to reclaim my monies, did they come up with the cash (not a check - cash). They never produced and financial records or bank statements and payment was made in cash. Something fishy if they don't have those things. Please check out the pictures of my "new" driveway. I don't know how this business is still able to operate.

It is the most difficult to even contact this company. I found them in the Monthly Shopper. The website is incorrect, it leads you to a company in Texas. The phone number provided is to an answering service. I spoke to Debbie (the wife of the owner) personally to set up an appointment for an estimate. She was supposed to set up an appointment so I could receive an estimate. Tuesday rolled around and no contact, I called back on Wednesday to confirm my appointment. I was told rudely (by answering service) that they had no information on me. I googled the company again to try to find the information on how I contacted them the first time, I received the same answering service, this time with a different woman who wasn't AS rude as the first. She explained to me that they just took my information. She asked me to spell the name of my street address and the name of my city. I asked are you not in Michigan? She said no, we are an answering service. I told her I didn't know how I felt about not being able to speak to a representative of the company if they're supposed to be in Michigan and in the same neighborhood of where I live. While I was on the phone with the answering service, Debbie called me back and said that it was a new answering service and they would be fired. She asked if she would be able to come to my house in about an hour to an hour and 20 minutes to personally give me an estimate. I told her that would be fine and I would be waiting. I went outside and waited and waited for over 2 hours before I called her back to ask if she was still coming. She said yes, she was on her way, she was on Milford Road and would be at my residence in 20 minutes--meaning she was just leaving her office as her business is only 20 minutes from where I live. I waited another hour before she showed up with 2 screaming kids in the backseat. She introduced them as her son was throwing his shoes out of the window. She asked me what I wanted done, I explained to her what I wanted done for the 3rd time, as I had already told her what I expected and wanted a quote on. She kept calling me by the wrong name, I corrected her. She asked her daughter to grab me information out of the car, to which her daughter got back in and her and the boy started fighting again in the back seat. She told me I could have two options. One costing $1100, the other over $7000. I told her thanks, but no thanks. I already had a quote for a lot less than that and based on how the whole interaction was with her I didn't feel comfortable even using her. She then basically begged me to give her my business, told me to sign the contract right now and she'd meet me halfway and put me on their schedule. Thankfully, I had a contractor here painting and even he was shaking his head no, telling me that the lady was a lunatic and was desperate for work. The estimate was written up with my wrong first and last name, even after I gave her my business card. I was told companies do that to avoid having to guarantee their work because it is not in your name. Makes sense!! Also, on the estimate it says to make checks out to: Angelo Stanley....makes me feel like they are not being legit with IRS and taxes. All in all, save yourself the trouble of even contacting this company!! I would pay more money to another company than have these clowns come do work at my house.

When great! Very thick layer of asphalt on the old section and new. Looks great!
