The rest of the fence was fine. Upright Fence performed an estimate, was attentive to what I was asking for, and did not try to up-sell or add any unneeded repairs. I did not bid the job, so I cannot say whether the cost was as competitive as it could have been; however, because of the timing and the fact that the job took 3 days to perform due to setting the cement for the posts it seemed reasonable. The guys who came to perform the work did exactly as contracted and cleaned up daily and after the job was completed. They were also attentive to explaining what they were going to do prior to, and during the job. Overall, an excellent experience and I will use them again if necessary.

The workmen were great. Very professional- even in the face of some low class, obnoxious neighbors. Product looks pretty good and most of my neighbors have said so. Absolute thumbs down to the salesman, Ken, for so many, many reasons. They did not pull the required permits as promised and did not follow city code on the gate.

The estimate was prompt and fair. We discussed what was the best option financially and long-term. He was helpful to let us know that the rest of the fence was in fine condition so there was no need to replace the whole thing. The repair job was done as promised, timely and high-quality. They stated they were unsure exactly when they could come since the rain was unpredictable, but they were very accurate in their date of completion.

They were on time,did a great job and cleaned up any mess. Will use them again.

It went well!! other company's wanted to charge me 400,to 500.00 dollars they only charged 200.00..and they did it in a couple days!! the other company had 3 to 5 week wait..

Very prompt and courteous. They had to wait for our cement contractor to do the new driveway before they could finish the gate and they patiently waited while the weather kept delaying things. As soon as I let them know the drive was done they scheduled the time to come complete the job and were right on time for that appointment as well. They were wonderful to work with and I will use them again to replace some existing fence with white vinyl next year.

We are so pleased with the repair Upright Fence did on our vinyl fence. Ken came out and assessed the situation - said the fence was not installed properly to begin with, but Upright could definitely fix the problem. Robert and Jacob came out on time and explained everything as they went along. Most of the fence had to come down and new wooden posts installed under the vinyl posts and cemented in place. They worked very hard breaking through old tree roots, etc., to seat the posts properly. They cleaned up the yard completely when they were finished and it appeared no one had even been there, but our fence is now secure, straight and beautiful. Thank you so much!

Over all it went decently; but could have been better. Would I call it "stellar customer service"? Absolutely not, but did they get the job done, correctly and on time? Absolutely. As seems to be typical nowadays, I had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with the actual installers (Mark, and his apprentice were GREAT!), but the office staff and sales staff- they could be better; much better. They didn't communicate very well, and confused my wife with gate hardware options. The sales staff should have showed up with better reference materials to show customers "prior-to" and not expect potential customers to simply "come up to the office" (that's not stellar customer service!!). The job wasn't exactly started on the day it was supposed to, but it wasn't a big deal- though I actually had to talk to the Owner, Kevin to finally get straight forward answers. (never got a call back from the salesman Paul, ever, after he sold the deal) One thing I was VERY surprised about was the fact they simply installed pre-fabbed panel fencing. I suppose it does matter, it looks fantastic, but I was thinking it was going to be a "plank-by-plank" fence job. So you can imagine my surprise when they rolled up on install day with stacks of fence panels. (looked kind of like the stuff I could have bought at Home Depot myself)- but again, nonetheless it looks great-- ALL THE THANKS IN THE WORLD TO MARK and HIS APPRENTICE (sorry, I couldn't remember his name), they really made a positive impression where the rest of the company fell short. Last but not less-- I never got a follow up call from anyone to see if all went well and I was happy. To me, that is another sign of stellar customer service- a TIMELY follow up call. After a week, nothing. I'm not losing sleep over it, but it would have shown that extra touch. Nonetheless, everything went well, the fence looks great and I'm finally happy to have some privacy! PS: Again, kudo's to Mark and his apprentice!!

Initial salesperson was prompt in coming out for the initial estimate, he was knowledgeable and professional. Once we decided to go with Upright's bid, the business office had a little trouble finding our bid on file, but it was quickly resolved. The business office was a bit unclear about the timing of installation, but they were prompt to return our calls and answer our questions. The on-site employees installed the fence over 2 days, about 1 week apart. The first day they dug holes and installed all the posts and the second installation day they put up the fence and gates, including all hardware. The on-site employees worked quickly, were thorough, and professional. They didn't leave any debris in our yard. There was a bit of a miscommunication about the type of latch we wanted on one of the gates, but it was resolved within a week.

They came on time. I didn't even know they were there till I walked outside. got to work. dug and set the post. I have huge dogs so they took large items and barricaded the open gate while it dried. Which was good because 150# dogs would go through the snow fencing usually used to block the opening until the cement cured.I was worried because we have a pool and for safety reasons,I needed to know little children couldn't get to it. Came back when they said they would and finished the job. Looks great! I am pleased because the first company that did the work years ago didn't listen to me when I said I didn't like the pole conected to the bricks.Sure enough, a month later, the pole was loose and the auto close device didn't auto-close. And It made doing any job around the yard the biggest PAIN! The dogs got out because the gate couldn't close. 150# dogs roaming the neighborhood is NOT good !! I would worry that little children would get to the pool all the time.Too stressful.My husband payed the first company and I was not happy. But $950 later it's fixed but would have like the first company to do it right the first time! Up right fence did a good job fixing the other company's bad work.

UPRIGHT FENCE SHOULD GET A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT FOR PATIENCE, HONESTY AND HELPFULNESS. They showed up promptly, within 2 days, and I had an estimate in my hand in 20 minutes. Many contractors wouldn't even do dearborn because they don't want the hassle of the permits and refused to come out and give an estimate He was open and honest about Dearborn permits and that we would have to pull it ourselves. I liked that. He gave us the choice of to handle the red tape....which ALSO impressed me...other companies said they will do the work but wouldn't pull the permits and hinted that we should just do it "under the radar" or they would't take on the job. Also, I had companies almost double the price if we expected them to pull permits putting the customer in a bad spot if it is a service he needs quickly and no one else is available and this was something I needed done since I had just gotten a Service Dog. Upright Fence stayed with us every step of the way providing everything we needed and let us know what to do to get the permit. and we had a formal proposal to present to the city with a couple weeks. Though we had everything we needed to get the permit, we had some delays (2 deaths in the family, out of town visitors, illness and hospitalization) ;it had nothing to do with Upright...we also had to submit a request for a permit twice because of some obscure Dearborn fence rule-but Upright came out at no extra charge to amend the proposal. We began the process in the spring, but just finished installation yesterday. Again, no fault of Upright Fence I could have had the work done quicker by other companies for 800+/ dollars rather than the 440 if I went with another company who would pull the permits, but I think charging 400 dollars for a trip to city hall and schedule an inspection to be an incredible penalty to pay....or do it 'under the radar' and risk having to tear it down if the city found out....both obscene and immoral ways to treat customers ONCE WE GOT DID GET THE PERMIT- THE WORK WAS DONE WITHIN TWO WEEKS Post sunk on a Wed. and the Fence and gate installed the following Monday. The workers came when they said they would, were polite, cleaned up after themselves The work and materials is excellent.

We can only say good things about Upright Fence. From the initial estimate to the completed job, everything went perfect. The neighbors were so impressed with the quality of the fence and the work that they are now getting the same fence installed. I cannot say a single negative thing about Upright fence..

We looked around forever for a fence company that would just do a repair for the cost of the repair and finally found it in Upright Fence! Many places required some sort of minimum which was way out of the cost of our repair (from a tree that fell on a section of fencing). They came out promptly for the quote and stated right up front they were backed up and it might take weeks for the repair to be done. No sooner did a week pass and they called and were coming out which we were thrilled with! Repair finished and it looks great and the cost was the best part of the job. Will use them again!

Upright Fence Inc. came out and they were very considerate and right on time. They were early and they said "Can we come now?" It was great. I wasn't sure of everything that I wanted. I told him what I wanted done. He listened and he looked around. He gave me all kinds of options. I said what I want and I gave him an idea of what I wanted. He gave me a price and he walked away. He was very helpful. He says like "Well, this here is a problem" or "This here is going to be difficult."He also says "You have to pay more because of that." and I said "Okay, what about that? How can we get the price cheaper?" He said "You know, you don't want the fence to be that high. You need to see over the gate. It's a safety thing." I never thought of that and he gave me things to think about that I didn't have a clue. I'm a widow and I don't have anyone to help me out with this thing. He did not push me with anything. He just gave me all these things to think about. I didn't know what to think about and what to ask. He really explained to me everything, how the fence is made, how it holds up and how they do the job. That was amazing to me. I felt comfortable with them. He was very patient with me. He wasn't like "Hurry, hurry I've got other things to do." They were prepared for their job. They had everything they needed. They had different crews. They had a crew who tore down the fence and put up posts. They have another group of guys who came out to do the gates. Each group of crew that they had out here were all considerate and kind. If they had questions, they ask me. If I had a question or I wasn't happy about something and wondering why they're doing it like this, they explained it to me or they ask if I want it this way or that. They cleaned up after themselves.

i emailed them for a price via email only since we weren't sure of putting a fence up. i told them that in the email that we might not put a fence up and just looking for a price and didn't want to waste our time or theres if we weren't 100% certain on getting a fence. Their price is probably about the right cost for the fence but we weren't able to do it at this time. They responded to my email within 24 hours and they provided me a rough quote via email eventhough they still would have to come look at the job. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE!! WILL CONTACT WHEN WE HAVE THE FUNDS FOR IT!!!

VERY satisfied! We got their name from a neighbor who had a fence installed last year and were pleased. We had to wait about 5.5 weeks from the time we gave them a deposit to when they showed up for the job but they were worth the wait. When they came out, the installers said that it had been an unusually busy year and that the wait is not that long normally. Said they had quieted down some and were down to a 3 week wait. The installers were professional, knowledgeable and nice. They made sure that everything was even and level and had set up properly. They even measured our neighbor's yard for him because he was interested in the same kind of fence. They came on time, did everything they said they would do before leaving (it takes 2 trips...1 to place the posts and another to put up the fence after the posts are set). We were highly satisfied and would definitely use them again and recommend them

They came out and did the job very satisfactory. They were very punctual, to the minute in fact.

Overall great experience. Had rotting wood privacy fence in back yard mixed with chain link which was also rusting and falling down. I needed this all replaced with several other changes to make it dog safe. I actually wasn't home the day they were going to come out to start the installation, but was able to describe what I wanted over the phone to Craig who was in charge of the project--was very hesitant about this. However, when I returned home the week after, everything was better than expected, and I'm a picky person when it comes to paying to have work done. It's been rare for me to hire someone for a job and not have any complaints, but in this case I really don't have anything to complain about. I also appreciated the communication---got status updates, and when I called with a couple questions, I received calls back promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to others.

The fence looks great. The did go right through a gas line when my neighbors used them, they had to dig a 7 foot hole in my yard to fix it. They took a while to pick up some of my old fence after the job was finished.

everything was fine. would use company again. very pleased.

I had 3 different companies quote the job and Upright was the lowest. They are a very professional outfit. The final product was outstanding. No surprises.

It went great!! From the first phone call I made, Upright Fence was extremely professional and a pleasure to speak with on the phone. Kevin was the gentleman that gave me a general quote over the phone, and was very knowledgable about what needed to be done. I had called a couple of different companies, and Upright was the only one that made me feel like a valued customer right from the first call. Kevin then came out a couple days later to take exact measurements. He provided a quote - $1790 for the job - which was right on par with other placed I called. Something then came up on my end, so it took me a couple more weeks than expected in order to provide the downpayment for the job. Upright was very patient with me while I got this done, and still went ahead and ordered the permits so that they could schedule as soon as possible once I made the deposit. We were then scheduled for 06/05/2013 for the set date (to set the posts), and 06/08/2013 for the final installation. 06/05/2013 - Craig and Felipe were out right at 8am. Great guys... a pleasure to speak with. They got right to work, dug hole, set the posts, and were finished a couple of hours later. 06/08/2013 - Craig and Felipe were scheduled to be back out in the afternoon. They made it over around 1pm or so. It only took a couple of hours for the guys to finish putting up the fence, the gates, and cleanup. Fence looks great! Quality work, quality materials. No complaints at all from me. Definitely recommend this company for fence work... these guys know what they are doing!

My experience with them was very good. They were very timely, very neat, and very professional. They were very careful in the quality of their work. I would use them again anytime. They tried to please us. And they did what we wanted them to do. Their price was not the cheapest price, but our experience with them was well worth it.
