Absolutely disgusting. Here is Gerry's response to my letter I wrote to the general contractor. "Vince Desantos called me to clean a house that had their hard wood floors sanded. The dust was not captured completely throughout the home. He said the customer was upset but very nice. The home was a 3 bedroom, 1200 sq ft. ranch. The contents were stored in the garage during the work and also got dusty. We set up an area near the front door. We had 2 Hepa vacuums, cleaning products, micro fiber dust mops, and several types of specialty brushes. We started on the back bedrooms cleaning walls, ceilings, ceiling fans, windows and then floors. I also installed closet doors in every room. After a half hour I would go back and redust the floors. Then the bathrooms were cleaned. Every item was thoroughly cleaned of dust and hairspray, not just dusted. The hallway was started while 2 employees started the kitchen. Everything in the lower cabinets were taken out and cleaned. The inside of the lower cabinets was also cleaned. All of the walls, ceiling, and outside of cabinets and counter tops was cleaned. The artificial plants on top of the upper cabinets were also cleaned. The refrigerator could not be pulled out to clean. Later, Pam told me that they had glued it to the floor. The living room walls, ceiling and floors were also cleaned. While 2 techs finished detailing the kitchen, 2 techs began pre-dusting the contents to be cleaned in the garage. Washing the contents in the garage became impossible due to the freezing contents. The movers began bringing contents in to warm up so that we could wash them. When we finished washing the contents, the movers placed them in the appropriate rooms. At 2 pm the movers started with the items from the basement. When they saw the 3 large dogs, Pam said to go on, they won t hurt you. I refused to go back down to the basement after one nipped me on the hand. Tension was very high with the movers. Pam yelled at them a lot and at one point, cornered them in the garage screaming, What the F*** were you thinking and continued screaming and cussing at them for about a half an hour. I felt really bad for them. As the movers got their composure back, they started to move items from the garage to the living room where we washed, and from the living room to their designated rooms in which they were continuously yelled at. After the contents were in the rooms I personally washed and polished the contents of any dust or finger prints. When the room was full of its contents, I dusted the floor again. When the garage was empty, we vacuumed the floor that was basically used to house the 3 large dogs. We finished the job around 5 pm and packed up supplies. We again cleaned all the floors on our way out. But we had better make this right or she will be writing more letters." There is more to the letter, he goes on to chastise me claiming I yelled at him.
Description of Work: ServePro was subcontracted by Dante Floors, the general contractor, to clean the mess left behind from refinishing and installation of hardwood floors. I wrote a letter of complaint to the general contractor. So let s move onto the disgusting job of the Serve Pro contractors. Yes, the contractors that abruptly left at 5:00pm without checking the completion of the job. Their initial comment of, Our motto is that when we get done it will be like it never happened . That couldn t be further from the truth. They never moved the fridge out from the wall. If they would have, I would have found out that the fridge was broken by the contractor. They never cleaned the corner cupboard-the carousel-the one that Jeanne the flooring contractor took a picture of because it was so full of dust inside. They never moved the stove out to clean underneath or behind. A total of five pieces of furniture were brought in by your movers that were never touched by Serve Pro. They generally wiped off the top of the furniture but didn t go into the cabinets or wipe off the bottom or inside. The corners of the rooms were dusty. The walls were dusted off but not washed. The garage wasn t touched. The screen door window was washed but the door itself wasn t washed. The carpet on the steps was never even vacuumed much less cleaned. My one and only upholstered lounger chair was not cleaned only vacuumed. My leather couch was given a once over with a wet rag. When I sat on it I got full of dust when it was dry. The lamp behind the couch was filthy because the movers wiped it off because the Serve Pro staff were busy leaving at 5pm. They never cleaned the large tall plant stands that sit behind the couch because they were walking out the door. I asked Gerry four times if the bathroom floor had been re-cleaned as everybody had tracked dirt into it. Never cleaned as they left at 5pm in a rush. All of the crevices in all of the furniture and cabinets are full of sawdust. They wiped off the surface but didn't get the dirt out of the crevices. The floor molding in the entire house is the same way-crevices full of hardened sawdust. "Dusting" didn't get it "clean". Gerry doesn't know the difference. All of my wool rugs that were covered in sawdust were left in the garage as ServPro left at 5pm. Coffee table, glass top, 3 planters, huge copper pot 2 desk chairs, 2 doors all left in the garage at 5pm. Employees were making their weekend plans on their cell phones while in my house. Giving directions to friends so they could come visit them while on the job site. When you sit and watch the sun come in you can see all of the dust on the furniture, walls and molding that was given the quick once over but not "cleaned". The garage was left untouched and full of sawdust all over the safe, fridge and cabinets. The carpet was never scrubbed-both the steps to downstairs and the garage. Furniture that was bought in to warm up was left at 5pm for me to clean.
