Description of Work: I had water leaks in my basement - HomeSpec installed a water-proofing system along the exterior walls, plus installation of a sump pump, with battery backup. The work was done quickly and professionally, clean up was perfect and the price was still good, especially for all the services rendered. I recommend this company to anyone who needs a dry basement.

Description of Work: I had a leak in my basement wall. Opened up the floor along the wall approximately 50ft. They install drain line's & a sump pump. The worker's were professional & did a fairly good job of cleaning up. There were some communication issues that were not clearly presented in the presentation. But we were able to get them worked out, the only interruption was waiting for the permit, due to the holiday. But the work continued & was completed on time. One of their vehicles had an oil leak that I didn't notice right away because of the snow & left 4 oil stains in my driveway. I did not notify them of the oil leak thinking that I could wash it off, but it is still there, hopefully in the spring, I can use my pressure washer to remove the stains! Overall I believe that this is a reputable company & I would recommend them, I would also recommend that you be sure to ask questions and get an explanation of all of the details! I did have a slightly lower bid & John was able to adjust his bid for me! Very minor issues, but overall I believe that HomeSpec is an excellent company!

Description of Work: Filled in 2 cracks in a poured basement wall. They would not give a warranty because they said I need other things done to support the basement wall. Without pressure, my choices to be able to provide a warranty would have cost me either $3,000 or $7,000. Ryan did an excellent job and cleaned up after himself. I appreciate the no pressure honesty of the company, but I could not afford either choice for their company to guarantee the work.

Description of Work: They installed a water proofing system (in 2 days) in my basement. Day 1 was somewhat loud (jack hammering). Day 2 was better. Very professional, answered all questions to my satisfaction. A few days later there was a new water issue which turned out to be a clog in one of the existing pipes, but they sent a plumber out to take care of it. I would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Homespec excavated the perimeter of my basement to install a water capture system as well as a sump pump. Although a bit more expensive than other estimates I received, their solution to my basement water problems were the most complete. All of the workers were on time, professional, helpful, and thorough in their job and clean-up. Quality work and easy to work with from start to finish.

Description of Work: We had water coming in the basement. We decided to waterproof our entire basement as we had it finished and it had since been ruined by water getting in. HomeSpec installed a drainage system that encompassed the entire perimeter of our basement. Only time will tell but we feel confident this will work as this company has been in business and the area over 20 years. We feel price was very reasonable for the work that was performed. The crew was very receptive to any questions that we had. Overall a very good experience.

Description of Work: Our boiler for our heating system was leaking. Homespec identified the issue was a bad seal causing a leak from one of the valves. The valve and seal was replaced. They were professional, detailed and very friendly. I would use them again.

Description of Work: We had a crack in the basement foundation wall that leaked water during heavy rains. It obviously had been repaired at some time prior to our moving into the house. The gentleman from Homespec arrived on time and completed the work in less than two hours. We have had no leakage since.

Real nice guy explained everything till I understood. I was impressed. On top of that, Homespec called me to thank me for calling and giving them a the opportunity to give me an estimate. If this is indicative of the work they do, I definately would call if I needed their services.

Description of Work: Did not try to "up charge" and even suggested a second opinion to repair a crack because he wanted to make sure it wasn't structural vs. a leak. Prices comparable to competition. Called to even see if they could do the job early.

Their consultant Ken was on time for the scheduled visit and did an excellent job in explaining what they would do to fix the problem. He also pointed out deficiencies in the work done be a previous contactor which was really helpfiul in discussions I subsquently had with that contrator whis led to a refund. In the end I decided to use a different contractor, who suggested a more agressive approach to diverting the water.
