Best Way swallowed The Garbage Company just over a year ago, and we have not been really very happy with Best Way. Their collections are sloppy. They leave cans lying on their sides or with lids open or off, especially when weather is bad. We often have to pick up trash that has fallen off their trucks and into our yard, trash that is NOT ours! But their pricing is better than most other garbage companies in the area. This week, however, they informed us that they will only be collecting recycling every other week instead of weekly. Well, we ALWAYS have more recycling than garbage! We bought our own large recycling can that is usually filled up, and often have to put out their little crates in addition to our cart. I don't know if this is an effort to keep our bill from going up quite a bit or what! They also sent a letter that yard waste pick up will be limited to their containers plus five (5) extra kraft bags. Additional bags must be tagged for $1.00 per tag, five tag minimum, and must be paid for in advance at their offices or over the phone. Really? It's Michigan, and, well, THERE ARE LEAVES HERE. Just not customer responsive or, apparently, not able to see the weather. Oh, and recycling should be a service that is strongly encouraged to their customers, not actually DIScouraged!

Everyone was very professional and prompt in delivery and removal. They had the best pricing from all others I contacted. Have used them once or twice before and always have been completely satisfied.
