Joe Coxen (Top 2 Bottom Handyman) schedules work well ahead of time, arrives promptly, consistently does a good job, cleans up after himself daily (assuming multi-day assignments), is cost effective and is always pleasant to deal with. My wife and I first develop a list of tasks we'd like him to complete during his next scheduled work time at our home. He responds with whether he is able to do the work and when he can do it. 10 - 15 years ago, we would have asked for a cost estimate. Now, because we trust him, we just have him do the work, resting assured that his price will be reasonable. In his last 2.5 day visit he: Rebuilt or adjusted two plumbing fixtures. Removed old noisy bathroom exhaust fans and installed new Panasonic units (which he recommended). This involved climbing into the attic to remove old fans installed 57 years ago. Some modifications to plaster were required. Small amounts of insulation were tracked into living areas. Almost immediately, Joe cleaned debris up and reviewed clean-up areas daily before leaving. Installed an Aprilaire whole house humidifier on our gas forced air furnace. This included relocating the furnace exhaust pipe to accommodate mounting the humidifier, custom building ductwork to integrate the humidifier with existing ductwork and determining how to properly connect humidifier controls to work in conjunction with the furnace. I note that Joe's ductwork doesn't leak air. It is not dotted with putty to plug holes. It just works! In terms of materials, Joe recommended what fans and humidifier we should buy. He did not offer to sell us these items with heavy price mark up. He suggested that we buy them for the best price we could find, in our case, from Amazon In terms of cost, he did 2.5 days of skilled work for $550. In comparison, a well known heating contractor wanted $600 to provide and install the same Aprilaire humidifier we purchased ($105 at Amazon). It's almost as if the labor to replace the exhaust fans and rebuild plumbing fixtures was $0. Top 2 Bottom Handyman Service is a real find!

Nice to find efficient, dependable, personable, and professional people after more than a few bad experiences. Joe and Bill are great, and even though I met them thru Angie's list, I found that they also work for a co-worker of mine who also recommended them to me after I had hired them the first time. Great guys, great prices, dependable workers! A+++
