Tippin Fence

Let me first start off by saying I used Tippin Fence a few years ago and they did quality work. So after moving into a new house in March I decided to use them again. James came out and provided a quote on March 26th. We agreed on the price, which was less than other quotes I received, with plans to build the fence in the next week or two, which would only take a day, maybe two. Unfortunately, right around that time, Michigan closed non-essential businesses which put a halt on the fence plans until the order was lifted. Once the order was lifted in early May I reached out to James to schedule a date for the fence to be built. I didn't hear back from him for a week or two so I reached out again. I left multiple voicemails and still no call back. His voicemail said "he was backed up and won't be taking quote requests until June, but if you received a quote prior to the stay at home order then he will call back to get your project scheduled." He finally called back and told me the project will get done in few weeks and he was really backed up, which is understandable (although since my fence was supposed to get built in early April I find it very hard to believe there was this many projects scheduled in front of me). After a few weeks I called and left multiple voicemails to which I received no response...again. Fast forward to July 8th and a lady (maybe his wife?) called me and explained James is so busy but he his going to call me early the following week (week of July 13th) and wants the fence to be done by the end of that week. After receiving no phone call from James by Thursday of the following week I called, and shocker, he didn't answer and I left a voicemail asking what the status was. Once again, no call back from James and I called again a few days later mentioning that "I think I have been pretty patient with the timeline of the fence. And I find it hard to believe there was this many projects ahead of me and I would like a call back to give me a status update." His voicemail now said that he was still super busy and it will take a day or two to return calls. It has now been 12 days and no call. I have never seen such poor communication from a business. Extremely unprofessional! I would never recommend Tippin Fence to anyone anymore after this experience. If you do choose them for a project be prepared to never know the status of your fence. You get what you pay for with them. They might do quality work but it's just not worth wondering if your fence is ever going to get put in. Use somebody else who actually knows how to treat their customers. I'm sure if he responds to this he'll say it's been crazy times and he works all day, every day. But that's no excuse to not pick up the phone one night and just call me back.

Ryan came out and gave me an estimate March 30th. Said it would be done by the end of May. Further follow up with Walt said it was on James calendar don’t worry. After many follow ups with no response in mid May I began to worry Now I have gone with a professional fence company. Don’t use Tippin Fence !!!!”

After confirming with out HOA, Tippin Fence was contracted to do a small fence fix. We were quoted 4-5 weeks. After 5 weeks and hearing nothing, I tried to reach Mr. Tippin. he was unresponsive and did not return a phone call. Only after leaving a message stating we no longer want his service, as well as sending a text did he text back with an apology. We ended our contract and are looking for a better contractor.

He came out told me how much it would be. I called him a couple times with questions. He gave me the contract- but I didn't even sign it. I've called him twice! I had questions about the fence and I haven't heard back. His name is James from Tippin Fence. I'm not happy with him at all. It was supposed to be done 3 weeks ago. He's not very professional.

Excellent, great price and fast installation. Project turned out great. This is the second time i have used them and will again

He came, he measured, but did not provide quote as promised by the end of the week. At this point--two or three weeks later--he has still not provided quote or returned my call to confirm that he doesn't want the job. I understand that this means that he isn't interested. Had he simply told me that, my assessment would have be much different. (Tippin Fence did my neighbor's fence, and, since I wanted this one to match that, I was not planning to even get competitive quotes!)

I had them remove some chain link fencing that was no longer needed, and reuse part of it to extend an existing fence. They took the time to do an excellent job, even when most of the fence will not even be seen from the house. They provided all the necessary new materials, filled in all the holes from the fence posts that were removed and hauled away all the unneeded fencing. Highly recommended !
