R and D Drywall

We had some extensive drywall repairs in our home, in the great room part of the ceiling and walls came down due to ice dams, plus their was some in the bay window of the dining room, master bathroom. In the kitchen two pieces of drywall came down due to a previous contractor not running a complicated shingle job on the roof the correct way. Shawn is the one who gave an estimate, he was very professional, very easy to talk with, and very knowledgeable, we agreed to have the job done. The day before they were to start work, Chad came to put carpet protection, put up a zip wall to keep dust contained, and put rosin paper on our wood floor, even with my protests that it was not necessary. Chad called Shawn and told him that I said what he was doing was not necessary. Shawn told Chad that it had to be done. The next morning two gentlemen came to start doing the job, I am sorry, but I did get their names. All in all they did a very professional job. They even took care of some drywall repairs that were not talked about in the quote. They were very, very clean, covered everything, cleaned up everything and hauled everything away. They did nothing without explaining each step of the way, and waited for our permission to continue. I have read all of the reviews and everybody rates them a 5, and raved about the quality of work, the few who had nothing good to say in my opinion would not have been happy with any contractor. Why would they be perfect in every house but say one house in Milford did they do nothin right. I am a landscaper, self employed, and have had dealings with customers like that who will never be satisfied. After having them in my house I realized to not believe anything negative about R & D. The only complaint I have is Shawn told me they would do our repairs in two stages, so I only cleaned up and moved stuff accordingly, when I came home from work the next day, My wife told that they were all done. l said good we can start moving stuff in the second half, and she told me that they were all done. The guys had moved things themselves and put all the protection down and completed the job. Their work is top quality, and very professional. I am an old curmudgeon and find fault with everybody, and everything, I constantly look for something wrong. My second complaint is I could not find anything wrong with their work, or customer service. Alas, in the master bathroom, I found a little drop of drywall mud on a heat vent, very small, hard to find. I never write reviews as I usually have nothing good to say, I did feel it necessary to write this review. If you are looking for a good quality contractor, very good neat workers, when they leave your house you never know they were there except their quality work, do not hesitate to contact R and D Drywall, it is so very rare these days to find quality and customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, even my mother. This company was great! They explained everything very well, followed through with their commitments and were very friendly! The work they did in our basement was great! We love our new walls! They did an amazing job!

From the initial estimate until our project was complete, Shawn and his crew were superb! The customer service was top notch and Shawn definitely made it a priority that the work performed was to our satisfaction every step of the way. Terrence and his paint crew were thorough and professional and completed the repair job beautifully. If you want a company that you can rely on, but most importantly trust, hire R&D!

I am very pleased with the work that was completed by R and D. They re-plastered the bathroom, fixed several wall cracks. They covered all the floors and furniture which helped contain the dust and afterward did a nice job cleaning up. They were very professional, on time and completed the work in one day. I would use them again and would recommend them to family and friends. It was nice to work with people who care about the work that they complete and care about customer service.

I needed a ceiling and walls redone after I had some water damage, as well as a few unrelated upgrades. Everyone was extremely punctual, the work looks great and was completed ahead of schedule. Definitely recommended.

Josh from R and D came out and removed the popcorn texture from ceiling in living room one day. Then came the next work day and reskinned the ceiling. Its a big ceiling and got it done in one day. And did a great job. Ceiling looks good with out the popcorn texture.

R and D Drywall finished my basement 3 weeks ago...just in time for my daughters grad party. They did a fantastic job from the hangers to Ed who did the mudding and Jeremy (Bill) who did all the touch up. They also primed all that drywall which really saved me a lot of time. My wife says that I am a perfectionist which is probably true but I really could not find anything that I was unsatisfied with and they have a one year warranty on their work! The owners Ron and his son Shawn were a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend them. They were able to meet my tight timeline and still did a fantastic job, I received many compliments from our guests at the grad party on the finish of our basement. BTW...sorry if this is in twice my internet connection died right after I clicked submit and I didn't see my review and reentered it.

They completed the job in one day. There were large holes in my walls (renter), and they came in-repaired and painted the walls -- They look perfect. Ron is a great guy and his crew is very good. They cleaned everything up when they were done. Couldn't have been more pleased.

We had Terry come by today for a repair job. He did an excellent job - above and beyond even the highest expectations. Highly recommended

Yesterday I had Terry repair drywall who was excellent and I thought I was so lucky but worried about the painter the next day. Well, Terrance L. came out to paint and I couldn't believe it. I felt like I hit the lotto! Terrance was a very skilled conscientious painter. He was early, fast and not at all messy. You could tell he loved his work and the next time I need anything painted, I will hire him again. P.S. Thinking of the lotto, perhaps I should go buy a ticket :)

Terry came out at the designated time he was suppose to and did a wonderful job! Even though I talked to him for a little while, he kept working and you could tell he took pride in his work. He kept going over the different spots that had to be repaired making sure everything was perfect, which it was, and even repaired a spot I had missed telling him about. R and D Drywall has done a number of repairs for us over the years and each time their work has been impeccable. I would recommend them to anyone.

Josh and his crew did a great job. They were thorough and professional. We had a number of drywall ceiling cracks, nail pops, and other problems which they took care of. In fact, with their trained eyes, they fixed more problems than I had originally noticed needed fixing.

Good communication from the beginning. They were on time and finished ahead of expectations. Good workmanship and the area was left clean. We were certainly surprised that we had no dust from a drywall project.

They did an exceptional job. In all, it took about a week to hang the drywall, plaster, sand and then prime. Ron Larkins made sure everything was perfect. Will hire them again for my next room renovation.

Excellent job of matching old 'crow foot' texture to new drywall ceiling! Ron was fast, friendly, and got the job done right the first time.

They did a great job covering the old damaged walls. You can't tell where the repairs where done. Extremely fast and amazing work.

We are extremely pleased with the job that Terrance did with the painting project in our basement. We had to have our entire basement painted after the flood. We had them out early last month to do a very large drywall replacement project to replace drywall, trim, doors, etc. that were destroyed in August. We have since posted a rave review for that job. Shawn came by and gave us a fair quote and we accepted. A few days later, we were underway. The job was, like the previous one, done professionally and with attention to detail. I had a bit of trepidation that he was doing the job alone, but this is what happens when you find a professional who has been doing this for many years. He was here when he said he would be and while the job seemed too big for one person, he more than proved me wrong! It wasn't a rush job, he is a pro and has a system that works for him. The detailing was awesome. So happy. Outside of the paint job, you wouldn't know he had been there - the clean up was great. No corners were cut in this job - just like before. The walls and trim were perfect. We NEVER could have done the job. He was very considerate and worked non-stop. The next phase will be upstairs, most of which has not been painted in 14 years and finally replacing our pocket door that has never worked since we moved in 17 years ago. The professionalism, sincerity and pride in the work they do has instantly made them our go to guys now for this sort of work. We have recommended them to others and the friends and neighbors who have seen the results of both of the jobs they've done were very impressed. You absolutely will not be disappointed. I cannot begin to explain how happy we are with the job that Ron, Shawn and their hardworking professional crew performed in our basement. We had to have a considerable amount of drywall replaced in our basement after the flood. Ron was the first contractor to bid on the job - and the last. Between the great impression we got of him, the huge number of positive ratings here on homeadvisor and a flood recovery support group on facebook, we didn't see any reason to look for anyone else. I'm so glad we chose them. First, they were on time and done in a day, when we expected at least 2 - but it wasn't a rush job. So happy. The hard work and precision repairing the hack job our clean up company did to the drywall, attention to detail, amazing trim work, door replacement, clean up and so much more amazed us - and all in one day. No corners were cut. We expected simple trim and replacement doors and were stunned at what we got. However, we cannot stress how awesome the drywall work was. Huge sections had been cut about 4 feet from the ground by a person that had clearly never done so and it was a disaster. When it was done you absolutely could not tell it had been cut. What a pain that must have been. Seamless. Literally and figuratively. Ron and Shawn had a crew of 5 or 6 guys here, each with their own specific job - no standing around, cursing, yelling and such like I've experienced with some contractors. They were all very considerate and nice guys who got the job done and are prideful in the work they do. As far as the drywall dust situation went, it was much easier to deal with because we hadn't installed the carpeting yet. Even though the concrete floor was exposed, they had down protective materials and the cleanup was quick and thorough. Like I said, we couldn't be happier. In fact, we were so blown away by the work that we had to call our neighbors over to see it! Ron suggested some wonderful ideas to us that we agreed would make a difference when done as part of this rebuild - most of which we agreed and did. I don't think we have ever met a nicer, earnest and compassionate contractor. We had Shawn (Ron's son that runs the company) come out today to quote us for the massive painting job for the ENTIRE basement and to replace a pocket door upstairs - it makes sense to use them since we will need to remove and replace drywall. The next phase will be upstairs, most of which has not been painted in 14 years. They are our go to guys now for this sort of work. You absolutely will not be disappointed.
