He procrastinated repairing the ceiling until the last thing he did. The ceiling looks terrible. We never knew when the owner and/or helper would arrive. They just seemed to show up whenever it was convenient for them. He took a couple of vacations and had other jobs he was going to instead of concentrating on the completion of our home. They started and were in our home over 3 months to do the job they were hired for. The owner kept taking short cuts and we had to have him redo painting and repairs. The owner kept asking for money in advance to pay for supplies, etc. The last payment he insisted on was given to him. He then went on vacation and was to return to fix the ceiling and other areas. He NEVER RETURNED to complete the job satisfactorily. The ceiling actually looks worse now than it did when he started. This company should be named NEVER HIRE AGAIN!!!!! orest Bay

Excellent work, very professional and honest. Work was completed in one week. Very promp and detailed. I needed a particular color that was a California color. Steve found the colors of paint I wanted and the paint was included in the price. It is a top brand and expensive. All the wood trim was also included in his price. I found him and his staff to be very courteous. He never added onto his original price. He was always on time. I plan on having 'Never Paint again' to do other work this year. His work ethic is top quality as well as his professionalism.
Description of Work: painted kitchen cabinets, painted booth seating in kitchen, painted kitchen walls,ceiiling and trim, removed intercom system and repaired walls in two rooms ,installed trim in (2) bedroom closets and (4) windows and painted trim in three rooms. I ended up calling them directly because I had a really tight timeline to get my basement painted. I did not buy the Big Deal because I did not want to buy it and them not being able to come out in a time that I needed. When I got on the phone with them they were ready to do it and asked me not to worry about doing the Angie’s List thing and were ready to work out the purchase but they were terrible. They were really bad. They came out within my tight timeframe which was good except that the guy that came out was creepy. He was more interested in chatting with me than get the job done. They ended up up-charging me so much on the spot that I ended up paying more than I would have paid. It has been a really bad experience.

We always do our best to accommodate clients timeframe requests. In this instance the client needed the service done almost immediately and using the groupon deal would have delayed the service. We offered the client to purchase the deal directly from us. When we arrived at the house to perform the painting the client had requested many many additional items to be painted and also was not upfront about the amount of drywall repairs that were needed to ensure a quality project. We always go over pricing before doing any work, so to say that the client was "charged on the spot" is an untrue statement. We supplied the client with the price for all of the additional work that was insisted be performed which was not in the original agreement and the client had a decision to accept or decline the work. As far the painter being "creepy" the specific painter has been with our company for over 7 years with no complaints on his client interaction or painting performance skills. We train our employees to communicate with clients on a personal level to ensure clients are comfortable with our employees being in their home and on the property. The painter that performed the work was so efficient that he had time to talk to the client and complete the work that same day as we specified we would even with the additional work being added. If the client did not want to pay for the additional work than they could have rejected the additional work. If the client was not comfortable with the painter they could have asked the painter to leave, call the office to ask for the painter to leave, or call the office to request a new painter.

The painter showed up on time, he was nice and he was coming from home, on the east side, about 15-20 minutes from my home. This detail is important because the company home is in Keego Harbor, and I was charged an extra 75.00 for being outside their service area. I couldn't get my money back for the paint job, so I paid, he only accepted cash. So, please read the fine print when dealing with this company. The guy rolled out the walls, nothing else, so as punctual, and everything else the painter was, I ended up calling another company for a more professional result.

The first part of the job to be addressed was the ceiling on the porch which took a few days, as expected. The owner of the company was handling this part of the job and he arrived at 9 every morning as discussed and made good progress. We were hopeful and for this first week he was quite efficient. In the following weeks both he and his employee were late, often by hours, nearly every day when they bothered to show up at all. We never received a phone call to let us know they weren't going to arrive at 9 when they were scheduled to and we often did not receive responses to our calls to them until well into the afternoon. When someone was here it was always the employee instead of the owner and it was clear there were a great deal of communication troubles between the two. Work was usually only done for 2-4 hours each day, given their increasingly late arrival times and often times the employee had no idea what he was supposed to be doing given that he needed a second person or the owner's expertise for many parts of the job. They did not show up for days and then, upon returning, had expected us to make arrangements for them to be able to access certain parts of the home. As they were doing work in multiple rooms we were not informed where they were planning to work next and therefore where it would be acceptable to move furniture in the home. Which resulted in extreme inconvenience on our part when we were expected to move most of the furniture of three rooms and pack it into one so it would be out of their way and we were given only a day to do this. Which happened twice and we achieved their expectations both times. After paying the full amount for the job up front we were then asked for addition payment for things we had not asked them to do but regardless would have been covered in our contract as it was stated they would "Prep and paint throughout the house as needed". Still, we gave them the money because it was required for work to move forward once again because of poor communication. Regardless of these efforts work still came to a standstill for over a week because the owner decided to take a vacation and leave the state without notice. (So much so that his employee was calling us to see if we'd heard from him because he was locked out of the office when he arrived for work on Monday.) When the owner finally returned we got two solid days of work from them and were hopefully that the job would in fact be done by the end of the week. "By the end of the week" had become an empty promise even by this point as it had been said so many times that the words were obviously meaningless to them and merely an attempt to appease our displeasure with their poor work ethic, miserable communication skills, and inconsistent attitudes. It was made quite clear from early on that a contract they had with a condo association rated far higher than us and there were days when work was suspended because they were needed there. Upon doing the walk through and taking the job we were told it would take about a week and a half, maybe 2 weeks. On the 4th week we began pressing for a completion time as we were supposed to be preparing for an estate sale and the sale of our home before winter. The quote was given June 6th and work began June 19th. Nothing has been completed as of today September 5th and we are now unable to get in contact with them at all. What has been done is incomplete or of poor quality. Nails that have not been hammered in all the way, gaps in trim, inconsistent paint, etc. They began work on the main project, refinishing the dining room which required re-trimming the entire room and stripping off old wallpaper, and after a single day of work they abandoned the job entirely. Because of their inefficient, time consuming work which has still not been completed nearly 3 months on we have had to postpone many other thing. The work they were supposed to be doing was to help us prepare our home for sale and we have now been forced to postpone these attempts until spring as it is now so late. They have inconvenienced us at every turn and done so unapologetically. While we have done everything we possibly can to ensure they have no excuse not to be able to complete the work.
Description of Work: There were a number of small finishing projects that needed to be done. Putting up wood slats on our porch ceiling, replacing wood paneling on one wall in our upper hallway, replacing paneled ceiling in one bedroom with drywall, trimming doors and windows throughout the home. In addition to the construction fixes we had 2 rooms and a few additional ceilings that they were to prep, prime, and paint.

Hi my name is Timothy Danks Project Manager for NPA. I arrived 3 days after Steve originally started working on the house. Opon entering the house with diligence and respect, diligence and respect was given likewise. After my realization of things unmoved, I kindly asked [member name removed] to store their belongings in the middle of the room so that I could properly protect them with plastic and my workspace was sufficient. I respectfully moved their belongings that covered the whole perimeter of the walls in the first area assigned to be worked. Upon completion of the first area assigned, while gaining the approval of [member name removed] I informed then that to move forward to the next assigned area that would have to move thor 60 inch TV and other furniture paintings etc cetera they refused to move therr stuff and push the arrvail time later and later then I was told to stop working because she beleved I didn’t know what I was doing. She woudnt even give me a chance to do it that was the last time I was there. Tim Danks 1. The first part of the project was to finish and indoor/outdoor porch ceiling. This went well as the space was seme-ready for us to work in. It was finished in less time than estimated to the client. The client asked if I would do this myself & I agreed to that portion. I had scheduled 2 employees to work inside the home that week as well & no rooms were cleared for this. After the first week of work we were asked to not come until 10 an as they “were tired from getting up early” 2. The client agreed to moving all furniture & items. When asked to move things days prior to rooms we would be in items were never moved (High valuable breakables that they demanded they only touch, which we agreed) we ended up moving items to keep the project going. 3. We never asked for the full amount up front the client requested to pay up front. The extra area in question was not part of the discussed project therefore the additional charges which was only for materials. Me taking vacation (that had been scheduled for a year) had no bearing on the project. I had a supervisor & employee there daily. NO one was locked out of the office as all supervisor have a key & all tools were on site at the home. 4. After much delay from the client they decided to move items & we finished a few areas in 2 days I did tell them if they can keep moving items as requested we would be done “by the end of the week” work was suspended at the site because they refused to move items & did not want us to touch them they asked us to move another room I said no we have moved enough items. [member name removed] asked well where else are you going to work I told her we can go to a large condo project and you can move items this weekend. I employee 15+ people & each project is of equal importance 4. They were told the porch would take a week the interior 2 weeks we worked on the project for 6 weeks with dedication to finish the work was high quality & we were always complimented on our detail by the client. 5. By the end we were told not to come till 11 am cause the daughter stays up till 3-5 am on the computer & was tired. Than [member name removed] told my guys they were not allowed to work & she said that she didn’t think they know what they were doing they have worked for me 5+ years. Final thought: We constantly went above & beyond on the project performing many items they requested above the contract with no charge. We were dedicated to the job it was a 3 week project we were there for 6 most contractors would have walked away after 2 weeks of 2 rooms left & nothing moved I told [member name removed] I will not be sending anyone out until items were moved as she did not want us touching heirlooms (understandably). I did go to the house to see if things were moved (they were not). I sent an employee a week later (nothing moved) we had no choice to end the job we could not access the remaining areas

They said they needed the furniture moved 3 feet away from the wall. When they got there, they said all the furniture needed to be removed. They said they would come back another time, but they never did. Since then, the coupon has expired and I have lost the cost that I had prepaid for the service. I would not use these guys again since I lost the complete value of the coupon.

Overall, ok job. Price was good due to groupon but wouldn't pay full price for this quality of work.
Description of Work: We bought a groupon for interior painting, the price was excellent. The worker closed himself in the room with no windows or ventilation, we were worried for his safety. The job was fast but the quality was about what we would do ourselves just would have taken a lot longer. We also had this company quote exterior painting and they were substantially higher than other quotes.

We had been in need of a paint job for quite some time after removing the wallpaper. I saw a groupon for never paint again companies. I liked the price but wasn't satisfied with the information I could find on the Internet about the company. So I joined Angie's list! I found favorable reviews of the company and purchased the groupon. We still saved money! The painter let us check the paint after the first coat to see if we were satisfied with our color choice and he gave us the option to run to our nearby paint store to buy a different color for the second coat if we didn't like the shade we'd chosen. We were surprised by this generous option. But we liked the color so the second coat went on. A success!

Description of Work: They advertised on living social that they would paint a 13x15 room for $80. Then they required $100 to come to my house to set up the job because I live 35 miles away. At this point I don't know whether they are a scam or what. I think they want to promote their ceramic coating, which means they are going to upsell, since they specify that for the living social deal we have to provide our own paint, yet their name is "never-paint-again," Confusing, frustrating, disrespectful, and they write with neglect of grammar, punctuation or capitalization conventions, making me even more nervous about their competence, while they insist they are head and shoulders better than others!

The daily deal sites clearly display a travel restriction on all vouchers / coupons purchased before a client has the option to buy. The daily deal sites also give a pricing tier of travel charges so there is no "hidden costs" The company does not use ceramic paints, We use a Rubberizied Acrylic Coating System. As far as being competent business professionals or having a lack there of, the company is comprised of very well know and trusted business professionals. The company takes a stand that this client may have purchased a deal from another company claiming to be similar to ourselves, since the entire process and advertising of products does not match ours.

Description of Work: Beware if you have a Deal or Coupon!My experience with this company was terrible. I purchased a Groupon for them to paint 6 rooms for $358, which would've been a great price had they actually done the work. First of all, their phone system is such that you rarely reach a real person and have to leave a message, and ours were never returned. Upon finally reaching someone, we were told they were booking 3-4 weeks out and to email them with our request, since there was a separate "crew" that did the painting deals, and they would get back with us, which they did not. We were trying to have them paint the week prior to our move-in 4 weeks out. We finally kept calling and were able to set up a painting date a week later, just in time for our move, but what a way to cut it close! They said they'd paint all 6 rooms in one day over 8-9 hours. We arranged everything around this date, including our movers coming the next day. The painters were to arrive at a.m., and at 8:15 the company called saying the painter had strep throat and would have to reschedule. What happened to the "painting crew"? Clearly we were bumped for a "paying customer", so beware if you have any sort of discount. As this wasn't going to work with everything else already scheduled, I had to take 2 days off work and my dad and I painted all 6 rooms, and we got our money back from Groupon.

In response to the negative review. When buying a coupon on a daily deal site such as groupon or living social for the company services you are limited to one coupon / voucher per address. The company made the client aware of this. The company had informed the client of our first open dates and other available dates to try to work within thier schedule. We have clients that schedule projects 6-9 months in advanced and we will not leave one project that is in process to service another. The company had tried many attempts to schedule with the client but there was no option to service the voucher purchased except for the exact dates in question. The company had even gone above and beyond to allow the clinet to use all 6 vouchers purchased if they would be willing to be flexable with thier dates and we were unsuccessful with this option. As far as a painter being sick we employee multiple crews and employees so there is not an instance where a job is scheduled where a crew or painter team does not show. The company made every attempt to do as much as we can to assist and service the client.

The owner is extremely detail oriented and customer satisfaction driven. He quoted three days to do the job. Unfortunately one of their cars had an issue on the second day and couldn't make the appointment but they actually scheduled time on their weekend to come and finish the job, as well as using two additional guys to make sure everything was done in two days instead of the quoted three days. They were concerned about getting the job right and making sure we were satisfied. The owner Steve is a young guy but he is extremely professional and very experienced in the industry. I purposefully did not fill out how much the job cost because it was done through an introductory special discount as they were expanding to our area so the price I paid is not indicative of their true cost.
Description of Work: They were asked to paint the entire interior of my home. They quoted us a price and suggested we purchase the paint from them instead of us purchasing it independently. Unfortunately we had already bought the paint. I would recommend you let them buy the paint because they recommend and use very high quality paint that can get expensive at retail price but they get at a significant discount. When they perform the quote they also provide a folder that includes their insurance information, their mission statement, paints they recommend, a list of satisfied customers / references. They were very careful of working around the house and making sure everything was covered and prepared for painting. They walked the entire home and repaired any damage to the walls. They were also able to point out areas we should consider repairing, including seals around windows and peeling drywall tape in the ceiling. They do more than paintwork (including mold and drywall repair) but have also an extensive list of companies they work with and can recommend for jobs they don't usually handle.
