Matt's Lawn Care

This was my first time using Matt's and 1st thing I want to say thank you for the quick turn around cutting my lawn. However, that's where it stops. My lawn was a little high, due to my schedule and trying to find a new lawn company. I do have a nice size yard back and front. I was given a price for the initial cut and I wanted a bi-weekly cut and was given a price for that as well. 2 workers came and cut my lawn, but they left ALL THE DEAD GRASS on my lawn back and front!!! Didn't edge or anything. I came out before they were leaving and asked if they were going to get clean that up and one worker said "who is going to help you get this up" my initial thought was he was joking and I'm still in shock at the questions, so I just said my nephew. But I'm a single woman and there was no way. The whole yard front and back was covered in dead grass! I came home yesterday and raked the entire front yard and was ****** about it. I called Matt afterwards to inquiry if this was normal business to not rake, edge or blow away the grass. Matt told me that because I'm a "bi-weekly customer that I they don't do that, they only cut and leave" Seriously!!!. I have never heard of that before and further more if this your way of doing business, I would think by me being a new customer 1st time meeting you should have stated that when you quoted me the price. Had I know that and knowing how big my yard is I honestly would have chosen another company. 2nd thing, after the raking the grass the lawn is totally jacked up nothing is even, bald spots in grass areas, just bad. I expressed my disappointment in the cutting and Matt just said " that's how every lawn does business. I think not. just you. The 1 star that was previously given by another customer is a accurate rating. I gave it 2 stars because Matt did call and come out within 3 days. I have to now pay another company to come back and do a proper cutting, edging and blowing on my lawn. What a waste of my money. Totally not worth it.

The professionalism Matt's Lawn Care displayed was questionable. Weekly lawn cuts were below par - no weed whipping or edging was done. After a cut, there was grass all over my deck. The driveway and sidewalk was not blown off. By far the worse service I ever received. His bills were sent out in August , for services in June. After discussing payment with my boyfriend - who told him we had to receive a bill, he was knocking on my door at 9pm at night asking for his money. Now that he has been paid, he hasn't cashed the check he has had for nearly 2 weeks.

I've used him at least 6 times and referred him as well. He is phenomenal. He used real lumberjacks for his tree trimming.
