+ -1 moreExcellent. Two individuals who came out were very knowledgeable. They did their best to get us back in service without expensive replacement of equipment. This has been my experience with Lakeland for the last 20 years. I first hired them when I bought the house to get the softener working again. I had several companies out, and they all wanted to replace everything for thousands. Lakeland came out and adjusted the control and it worked for another 8 years until the bed gave out. I had Lakeland replace the bed and controls. I also purchased an RO system from them which they installed and I have had no problems. Lakeland is a company I feel I can trust to do only what is necessary to fix my problem.
Description of Work: Repair Softener that had stopped producing soft water.

+ -1 moreFANTASTIC... FANTASTIC... CALL MARK for an honest repair man ...
Description of Work: I was told by another 2 companies that my softeners had died and would cost $4000.00 and up to replace, I read some reviews about Lakeland Soft Water and decided to give Mark a try. I spent the morning sweating over the fact I needed new softeners , Mark came out to my home as promised was there before 9 A.M. ( A service man showing up this early ??? ) I showed him the equipment and offered to get the manual for it but he assured me he knows this VERY well. I was surprised at how quickly he checked it over and Mark said " you don't need a new softener" ... to my surprise he said there is a by-pass open ... we looked for a minute or two and he found it , HIDDEN in my drop ceiling, he shut the valve then ran cold water for a few minutes and then tested it... Low and behold... SOFT AGAIN... I am amazed that the other companies did not even mention this... Needless to say I will always deal with Mark from Lakeland Soft Water and no one else... I referred him to a close friend and without him knowing it was a referral he did the same for my friend and they said they wanted a new softener but he fixed it instead and it is still working .... CALL MARK for an honest repair man ...

+ -1 moreThe work was less than satisfactory, the employee John forgot to remove old equipment, so he admits. After 3 weeks I called and they said he could get it in a day or two with his sons help. John is my neighbor and his son says I am a rude F**B** to my daughter in the company of other children. I tell my daughters to get in the car after I am told my piece of SH*T car isnt allowed on their rented property. I just needed Johns help. John needs a lesson on social skills. Especially his son who cusses fowl language at young children. I am reporting to CPS who already frequents their rented house, and BBB. I am not done yet.
Description of Work: Incompletely installed water softener.

+ -1 morePoor. When no callback after 4 hours, was told it could actually take 1-3 days for tech to be assigned. Got one that day, but he showed up 2 hours late without a call. We paid for work and he left. Repair started leaking the next day. Had to wait beyond the 4th of July weekend to get comeback. First day promised 3 pm, then did not show or call. Second day showed up without calling, so no one was home. Finally talked to Tech #2 (Woody) for appt on 3rd day, 7 days after initial repair. Both techs showed up, verified tech #1 (Jim) messed up, and repaired the repair. Tech #1 said nothing, tech #2 was friendly and apologetic for delays.

+ -1 moreIt went tremendously. Mark didn't charge us a dime! He was great - very friendly, very professional, extremely knowledgable. He was on-time, he called to let us know he was on his way, again, just very professional all the way around. I would give Lakeland, and particularly Mark, my highest recommendation. A+++!! (NOTE: I gave a "B" for responsiveness, only because initially Lakeland took a little longer than I would have liked to return my call. That has NOTHING to do with Mark; and it was definitely worth the small wait!)
Description of Work: Our water had been progressively getting harder and harder, so we suspected we had issues with our softener. Mark came out, did a thorough inspection of our entire system - softener, well, etc. - and diagnosed that our real issue was with the well. He made some adjustments to our softener, gave a thorough and understandable explanation of what was going on, gave a referral to a well specialist.

+ -1 moreIt turned out fine. He came out and replaced a part in the water softener. He didn't do water analysis be he was able to repair it which was better than having to replace it. He was punctual and explained everything. He was real good. They were the ones that installed it and so we would probably stick with them.

+ -1 moreOur experience with them was okay. The mechanism that is used to activate broke on it and they had to replace it. Other than that we were happy with them. It works well and everything is fine. The person who installed it was very friendly and professional and everything was good. We did not get any other quotes. From what we understand they have pretty good competitive prices. My parents had used when I was younger in another house. I was familiar with them.
Description of Work: We used Lakeland Water Conditioning & Purification to replace the water softener that is inside the house.
