Kotz Heating & Air Conditioning

Beware! This company quoted me an AC/Heating system but did not include vital parts of the system that I had directly spoken to the salesperson about. When the parts died (6 months later), they stated that they didn't replace the items because they were working when they installed the new system. When they came to install the parts, which I was going to pay for, the maintenance man discovered that when they installed the furnace, they apparently never installed a humidifier pad, so it leaked all over my Furnace room and grew mold. When they were trying to install the parts, dry the water under the heater, and fix the humidifier pad, they broke my instant-on hot water heater. When confronted, they said they couldn't fix it, the maintenance man drove away - leaving my garage open, which caused further damage, and when I called, they told me they 'fired me as a customer'???? I have bought two full systems from this company and referred them to three other people who also installed entire new systems. This is shocking business behavior by any standards.

Installed new furnace. Installed new air conditioning unit. Installed new circuit breaker for a/c. Installed new ductwork. Installed new gas lines & garage heaters. Set up new heating/cooling zones. handled all permits & inspections. (Work is being performed in stages; at this point, total work is about 90% complete, and the completion date is already scheduled).

They did the whole job in one day. They took my old furnace and ac out. They had the best deal after we had 5 companies come in and give us estimate. I will hire them again in a minute.

I was not having any issues with my current system but wanted to update the system (~18 years old and low efficiency). Kotz did an excellent job of inspecting my current system, highlighting what needed to be done, and bid very competitively. They listened to my concerns and talked me through the causes and what could be done to improve them. They estimated it would be a two day job. On the 1st day of install they showed up on time, protected my homes floor, and went right to work. I had hot water and a functional furnace at the end of day 1 and the AC system was also installed. Day 2 was used to install the remaining humidifier, finalize the AC install and fix some duct work that was done incorrectly by builder or previous owner. The installers were very professional and friendly and made sure my house was cleaned up at the end of each day. I'm an engineer and was curious about some aspects of the system and they explained how everything work clearly. They don't just install they understand how the systems work. I was very pleased with the service, the quality of the installation, the attention to detail, and with the comfort of my home after we have used it the past week.

They are expensive and they did have to come back more than once for a job, but they did it to the best of their ability. The one guy misquoted our big job, so I'm sure it wasn't that much cost benefit for them.

Excellent service, professional service, courteous and helpful staff. They’re not the least expensive, but the slightly higher cost was certainly worth the money.

I do their yearly maintenance package. They area great company and do a really good job.

It went well. They came out immediately. He was in the neighborhood and he came by because I had water all over. It just worked out that way but it was really nice. It was a really good experience.

After fixing the AC wiring problem, the Technician inspected the Furnace since the he knew this older furnace has some issues. Found several cracks on the heat exchanger, which could produce deadly carbon monoxide! Was not asked to check the furnace and Kotz does not sell furnaces. Left after many thank yous with no mention of a furnace seller. Great old-fashioned work ethic: Honest and one who considers the customer FIRST! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

It went better than expected. Thought we would have to replace the entire unit, Salesman sent to give us a quote took a look and explained that it appeared to be a simple part replacement instead of a total replacement of the unit.

Work went well. Was suppose to have my water evaluated to see if I needed to upgrade my softener but that wasn't done. When asked for an itemized invoice, plumber was not able to supply it from his tablet.

Mr. Josh Thompson was on time at my house on March 25th for the estimate and he acted professionally and seems to be knowledgeable. However, all the professionalism ends there: he promised to send me the quote by March 29th but I never got it. I even called Kotz Heating back on April 5th to check if they were still working on it and I was informed that Josh was on vacation and he would get back to me on April 18th. Today is April 25th and I still didn't hear anything from them. Not that I need it anymore (I already hired another company) but I feel that that was unprofessional.

Perfect.. Joe from Kotz was superb, friendly, articulate and knew exactly what he was doing !!! I have used Kotz before and they DID NOT disappoint !!

I didn't do any comparison shopping. It was just a small job, so I was satisfied with it.

I have been a long time customer of theirs. Very very thorough.

They worked for us for several years and on a yearly basis, and they're excellent. They were in a transition period between, they were just doing heating, and then they were in the process of adding plumbing. And the only negative we had is we delayed a service call, because he wanted the same service man to come back. They scheduled, they sent that service man, but it's not the service man that came. But the service was fine, we've no complains the whole time. They were very reliable and thorough.

If you are a service member, the cost of service is cheaper and I am a member. They are great. They are a really nice company to work with. They come when I am not home. I just can let them in and I do not have to worry about anything.

We have used Kotz. They replaced our air conditioning and furnace and then, they service it. The price was fair. It is market. It is not a super sale or anything, but what you get there that you do not get from the other company because it is family owned. Everybody is very courteous and their service people, you feel like you can trust them. If you have an issue, you call them up. They come out and take care of it.

They do good work. We've never had any problems with them.

They were prompt and did the job. The workers were nice.

I pay an annual maintenance fee of $180 or something for them to come out twice a year.
