I made the mistake of not checking references before scheduling George Hensley to refinish our hardwood floors. He talks a great game, but the work was so bad, I had to hire a reputable company to completely take off his finish and resend, smooth, and coat the floors. The floors were gouged, big circular inventions from his sander were visible, and the final finish was so rough that it would snag socks when walking across it. So please do. It make the mistake of falling for this guy. It will end up costing twice as much money and twice the time.

Floors are like new after completion. Everything went excellent Without a glitch, George is Very Professional and trustworthy, He did exactly what he promise to do. Quick response time, very knowledgeable, prompt, friendly. Will rehire again

George did a wonderful job! I had gotten other estimates and the other refinishers told me that the style of my flooring prevented me from refinishing them properly. George was knowledgeable about the flooring style and wood. He did a beautiful job! I would and have recommend him to others. He was quick, professional and accommodated my schedule.

George was punctual, professional and did a great job on the floors. He sent me pictures and video's as he progressed. He used the vacuum so the dust was minimal. Have plans to use him again to do the other bedrooms.

The kitchen floors look amazing, he didn't stop until every inch of our kitchen was perfect. He fixed the damage/water spots we had and now the kitchen has never looked better.

Our hardwood floors are 13 years old and WERE very ugly. Now they are so beautiful! George did an excellent job, and I love my floors again! I love the natural color and the satin finish, it is so much better than the dark red oak it used to be stained. He was so good with my dogs too, helping to keep them safe during the entire process.

Once the job was started it went great, for the amount of work that was put into my floors the price was exceptional. We are very pleased with our floors and would hire again!

George & his team just finished our hardwood floors this morning and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! I decided last minute to have the floors done before we moved In to our new house and George worked me into his schedule so we could get it done by this weekend when we were moving in! Customer service is one of the most important things I look for when wanting to hire a company. George responded quickly when we called to get a quote and he stayed in constant contact with me while the work was being done. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to have their floors done!

Floors were badly scuffed, scraped, faded, grayed, and chipped. George did the work personally and made them look as good as new! I highly recommend George's Hardwood Floors to anyone.

It went excellent. George provides very personal service. Is very punctual and responsive. Gave me an excellent quote and provided an outstanding service. Could not believe that it is the same floor. I would recommend him highly. I took other quotes, but they are people working for companies who really don’t care what you feel about them. One person, who actually was the owner told me that he would only do the work for me if I also have shoe moldings changed by him, and this would have cost me an extra $500. George not only did it without changing the moldings, but provided me 3 coats of paint, what others were charging for 2. Now that’s service!

George and his associate did an amazing job on the hardwood floors. Over 60 years old and in varying condition, I was not sure if they could be brought back to a high quality level. Upon completion of their work, I had my answer - yes they could. Over the multi-day process, they performed their work meticulously through each step: sanding, staining, sealing, & cleanup. The floors now look like new with the color and finish I wanted to achieve. In selecting a contractor, I was concerned about dust management for the refinishing process. They did an excellent job in handling this aspect of the work, with little or no cleanup required on my part. Very impressive. Overall, the work was performed very professionally and they were very attentive to all the details and all my questions. George was very professional at all times. I was very impressed with the work. He was done when he told me he would be done. He was such a sweetheart he took time to give attention to my Pomeranian puppy even though he said he had allergies he took time to play with him on his lunch break. I thought that was really awesome of him. I'm very paranoid about having people in my home but George made me feel very comfortable and at ease at all times. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. My sister is actually going to be using him next month, she loved his work as well.

My hardwood floors were in very bad shape. Now they look very good and I have gotten compliments on my floors. But the road to get there was rocky. My quote written on a napkin and given to me. Didn’t make a copy for himself. It made me a little nervous but he was so much cheaper than all of my other quotes so I decided to go with him. On the day I was supposed to get my floors started, George came in and looked at my floors. He forgot that I needed a repair done to my floors and said he had to reschedule. He didn't have another opening for another month. He also couldn't do the repair himself and had to get someone else to do it for him. This was very frustrating. I took a day off of work the first day he was going to start the floors, which he ended up not starting. So I took off a day for nothing. I understand that things happen and he had some personal things going on but he is the one that came to my house and made the quote. He should have had a record of what needed to be done to my house instead of saying I didn't see in your texts that I needed a repair or he would called and rescheduled before even coming to my house the day he was supposed to start. So we got another person to do the repair on my floors. He made me go pick up the bundles of wood which I thought was kinda weird but I did it anyway. The supplier of the bundles of wood thought it was weird as well. Thank god the bundles of wood fit in my car. But they barely did. He didn't ask what kind of car I drove. If I drove a small car what would he have me do? I have to drive back to my house without being able to see out of my right window. It was scary. The repair was done and then I had to wait another 3 weeks to get my floors redone. We already moved out all the furniture from the rooms that were getting done and we didn't want to move them back to move them again so we lived like a hoarder for almost a month. Not fun. This was extra annoying because I was on a time line to finish the parts of the house getting the floors redone completely finished by the weekend before thanksgiving because we were hosting people. Pushing the floors back really messed with our schedule and we didn't get to finish everything we wanted before our guests came. We had to bust our butts the week before that weekend so we could get as much done as possible. We didn't get a lot of sleep because we only had 5 days to get it all done. George does not get to the house until 9:30 - 10 am. Thank god I have a flexible job that allows me to work from home in the morning. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have a flexible job. I asked once if he could come earlier and he said no, I don't wake up until 8:30. Very frustrating, I don't think he understood that if I didn't go to work, I couldn't pay him. And I was going into work like 2 and a half hours late for an entire week but I dealt with it. While sanding my floors, he did make a gauge in them. He did tell me right as it happened which I appreciate but I am not happy that it happened. He said that the wood was lose there and the sander just got a hold of it and it made a gauge. Where this happened is where the hardwoods were in the best shape and I don't remember anything being lose, I looked at before photos and also didn’t see anything but I didn't really fight it because there was nothing that really could be done than fill it with wood filler. The wood filler didn't take though so he filled it with wood finishing putty and it doesn't look great. Luckily this part of the floor doesn't get any light and you can’t see it unless the hallway light is on which we rarely do. Once the floors were done I looked around and the floors look so much better. But I fund hand prints of stain on my walls and there is just a glob of wood filler on my window sill. It looks like the putty knife was cleaned off on the window sill because there was a lot of wood filler. Also there was wood filler on my toilet. I was able to clean all of it up but it was just annoying that I had to. In the end, my floors look really good and because of the price, I would hire him again and I would recommend him to another person but letting them know that the process of the floors getting done will be frustrating but the floors will look good in the end.

Did a great job. He has done plenty of work for me on wood floors. Great job every time in a timely professional manner. What ever was agreed to be paid was well worth it in my opinion. Very happy.

Came home to a complete Disaster he did not Visqueen the room off and the entire house is covered in extremely heavy dust he told me it wasn't his job to cover up or block off rooms it was the home owners but never ever said this prior to the job . So now I'm having to have all furniture and carpets cleaned all the walls and ceilings cleaned and all ducked work cleaned it's a complete Disaster. I WARN ANYONE TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY . I'M GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO COURT TO RECOUP MY CLEANING BILLS AND HAVE A COMPANY FINISH HIS HALF *** JOB .

I called George and he was over giving me a quote within two days and started the Job within a week. The floors turned out beautiful!

George took his time and it showed in the results - the floors look wonderful
