After checking Angie's list, I called for a quote then set up a moving date and time. The company called to confirm twice prior to the move. Two men showed up on time and quickly got to work. They moved heavy pieces with no problem and were done quickly. They were very nice and knew exactly what they were doing (even taking a bed apart easily). They arrived at the new house in no time and placed everything where directed. They were very understanding if something had to moved again due to space. They made sure all items were in the new house and where I wanted before leaving. Excellent experience!

I have used Changing Places in the past and thought they did an excellent job so called them on Monday (4/22/13) and they were able to schedule a two person team to come out to my home on Wednesday (4/24/13) which is very short notice. The two workers were very polite and got right to work packing up my items. They followed me to my Storage Facility and quickly unloaded the items into Storage. It was a straight forward job and Changing Places provided excellent service from the time I called them on Monday (4/22/13) to the time they completed the job on Wednesday (4/24/13).

I had sold my condo and was living elsewhere because i had became very very ill. I hired them to move my entire home to a storage area in the meantime. So I wasn't able to be there during this process. They came and packed up my entire home and moved everything to a storage unit. I have moved many times in past years and packed up items myself which is why I was so surprised when I was finally able to get to my belongings recently and start unpacking them. Just a few of the things I ran across were 1 huge box with tons of packing inside for a lamp shade then another box with lots of knick knacks and breakables with barely any packing which were mostly broken. My belongings were so scattered it didnt make any sense to me. Kitchen items with master bedroom items, lids for teapots in a totally different box which were originally on the teapots, the box would say kitchen but 2 other rooms mixed in the box, I would find just odd items in boxes labeled for the other end of the house. There is just no rhyme nor reason for the way things were packed away. They even took everything out of every drawer and door for the dressers, bureaus, chests, etc. instead of leaving them and moving the entire item like I have seen done every other time that I have moved. I am left with so much unnecessary work and wasted time. I'm still unpacking and cant seem to find several items so far at all. They are very unprofessional in my opinion. I have found more broken items, a mirror, microwave cart was damaged, and almost whole box of knick knacks. Most of kitchen items came through okay so far.

The move was organized and no time was wasted in loading and unloading the furniture.

I originally used Changing Places Moving on 11/03/2012. This experience went relatively smooth, that is with the exception that one of the employees constant complaining about how long they'd have to work to complete the task. I explained that I hired all of them for the whole day and was confident they could finish within the allotted time. The new property was only 7 miles away, my wife and I had already moved all the small items to the new property over the past few weeks before the move. As it turned out the move was completed one hour before the anticipated completion time. Now fast forward to today, 01/30/2013. Since we moved into our new home we had our master bedroom and master bathroom completely remodeled. Due to this fact we had our bedroom furniture put into our lower level family room when Changing Places moved us in. I called to make an appointment for today and was told the charge would be $110 travel fee and $108 per hour. The final invoice showed that I agreed to a 2 hour minimum, which I did not. So, based on this alleged charge, it cost me $324 for two men to move our bedroom furniture from our family room to our bedroom. I was in shock for having to pay that much money for their men to be at our house for one hour and ten minutes, including paperwork. They didn't even have to use their truck or any equipment. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I never agreed to a 2 hour minimum. After all, I knew moving an average sized bedroom from one room to another wouldn't take more than an hour. I just thought people considering Changing Places Moving should know about their appreciation of past customers like myself.

They are off the charts, they are unbelievable. They are incredibly careful, punctual, and don't waste your time.

Very accommodating, kept our furniture overnight(a difficult and late moving date decision). They communicated frequently with updates and checked in before arrivals. The guys were friendly and helpful. They moved our furniture in a very efficient manner. We were very pleased and thankful for their flexibility.

The overall move went great. The movers were on time and very accomondating. The company estimated a 4 hour move. The move took 5 hours due to the distance to move the furniture to the third floor assisted living apartment.

They had good pricing. They took good care of the furniture and packed it really well. They were very professional and took care of business.

The gentlemen were on time. They worked efficient. It took 2 hours longer than estimate partialy because they were very careful with furniture. We had multiple stops and I was happy with the services and they moved everything to the right location.

They are a good moving company. I'm in real estate and I recommend them to people and people love them. They are very professional and reasonably priced. They care and they do a good job. Everyone I know that's used them has had no complaints. They are very well priced.

I think their price is cheap for the service I get. They do a superior job at moving.

I have used them for many years. I used them several times last year. When my wife’s aunt passed we used changing places to empty her apartment. The reason why I keep calling them is because frankly I think their price is cheap. In other words, it is superior value for the service that I get. So the cost is inexpensive, but the quality is very high. They do a superior job. Each time I hired them I never had the same people twice. However, it doesn’t seem to matter who the employees are because they all deliver the same quality of service. They are trained pretty well by their employer. The advantage there also is according to what I am having moved they arrive with the correct equipment. So for example, when they knew that a refrigerator had to be removed from the apartment they came with a great big appliance trolley which was exactly the right thing for removing that heavy refrigerator safely. They do an excellent job. I had just come home from the hospital and I had to have that recliner moved that day so that I could use it. They put me at the end of the day for their schedule and it was probably 7 o’ clock in the evening when they got here. However, they were able to accommodate me that day. I had called them that morning. So, their responsiveness especially based on my physical needs was just superior. I don’t know that they would do that for a brand new customer. When they pull me up on the computer and they can see that I use them quite regularly so I may have got some special treatment there. I value them as a moving service and I wouldn’t anybody else anymore.

Our overall experience with Changing Places Moving company was excellent. The initial call went well and I was able to secure an "over the phone" cost estimate, which ended up being very accurate. Due to the circumstances of my move, we did not have the ability to take time off work so a company to come to the home, evaluate, and provide an estimate at a later date. Changing Places was available in the afternoon on the date requested. The moving date came and I was concerned because it had rained all morning and I had new carpet in the new home. In the end I had nothing to be concerned about. Joe and John were very conscientious and took great care to make sure no dirt/mud was brought into the home nor did any of our items get wet. John and Joe were very careful with our belongings and treated them with respect. We have a large entertainment center which was a challenge. While it didn't end up where I wanted, it was not for lack of effort. John and Joe tried every possible way to put the entertainment center where I wanted. But in the end, I had not measured correctly and it simply wouldn't fit. John and Joe were also understanding re our need to "dog swap" between houses. I can recommend Changing Places to friends or family without hesitation, and would use them again.

I contacted them, informed them I wanted to move on 11/17, and asked them about pricing. They gave me a long explanation of pricing, which as I said was okay, but then concluded that they didn't have availability on 11/17 (which, why he spent my time going through their prices without checking that first, I don't know). The rep suggested 11/18, but I said then that I had to work that day so at that point, I wanted to plan on 11/17. I thanked the person and indicated that I wanted to pursue 11/17, but that if I couldn't find anyone available on 11/17, I would contact them. Well, 3 days later, I received a phone call asking me to confirm 11/18 as a move date? Um ... someone wasn't paying attention.

They were very prompt and professional. Worked quickly and took no breaks. They were also very clean and neat.

Don't assume an estimate is a commitment. Do read everything you can online (even the hints at the vendors web pages) about preparing for the move. Lots of good information at all sites.

They are great. They were very nice. They were very professional and didn't scratch or mess up anything. They went 10 minutes over the hour and they didn't charge me and so I thought that was nice. Normally you get charged when they over work.

We needed a 3 bedroom home moved over from the east side the the west side of town. We used 3 movers to one truck. The movers were professional and very quick. We had a fridge that needed to go in our new basement and they figured out how to get it down stairs by removing the doors and replacing the doors once down in the basement. I would use them again if I was in the market for movers.

We had an excellent experience. They were very prompt, worked very carefully and quickly and were very professional. Everything was in perfect condition when it arrived at my new home. The estimate they gave me was what I was charged. A tip though - because I moved >40 miles I was charged by weight and distance. It is very important you know the actual distance between places so the estimate will be correct. In my case, my estimate was written as the minimum charge on my contract. The only problem was that the actual mileage was less than the mileage I told them for the estimate. I might have saved a couple of dollars if I'd gotten the mileage correct. Overall I was very pleased and the move was a pleasant experience. I would gladly recommend them to family and friends.

They were punctual and professional. The men stayed on task and really worked to get things done on time. Their estimate for time/cost was right on and there were no hidden fees.

Scott, Eric, Jason, and Alex arrived with two trucks at our home right on time on September 24, 2010. They were polite and friendly. They scoped out our house, made a plan and got started -- no messing around. Beds and other furniture were disassembled. All our furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets. The furniture was moved carefully to protect both the furniture and our home. After a load was taken out to the truck, these young men RAN back for another load. (I was pretty impressed by that since I was paying by the hour.) All our worldly possessions were loaded on the trucks in record time. The crew stopped for a quick lunch and then arrived at our new home. Once again, no time wasting. They almost beat us to the house! Our new home has hardwood floors. The crew was careful to cover the floors with cardboard and blankets. Everything was placed in our new home just where we wanted it. The beds and other furniture was reassembled, and the crew was done -- 2 hours earlier than their estimate. Wow! A quick word about Jackie and all the other nice people (whose names I can't remember) in the office who helped me set the move up and who patiently listened to and answered my endless question -- they were wonderful. I called several times and each time the person who helped me was friendly and courteous. Bottom line -- Changing Places Moving did an excellent job start to finish, and I would say if you are looking for movers this is the company you want to use.

I did the packing and they did the moving. They were very conscientious, professional, responsive and punctual. The quality of their work was very good and I was satisfied with their service.

This is the third set of movers used in the redecoration project. The first two (from Craig's List) damaged furniture and walls. Derrick, J.B. & Steve were professional, polite and efficient. Highly recommended.

Had new carpet laid today in my basement, and I was hoping to slip the carpet guys some cash to move the furniture from the garage back down to the basement. They wouldn't. I called Changing Places at 2:15pm. He said they'd try to get a crew over this afternoon and that he'd call me back as soon as he could reach his crews and line something up. He called at 3 and said they'd arrive between 3:30-4pm. They arrived at 3:45, did the work, cleaned up and left. I can't express how happy I am that they could do this at the last minute; I have 15 people coming for Thanksgiving, and this basement redo has been taking FOREVER. Changing Places is the only moving company I will ever use!!!
