The poles on our dock were slanted and not installed properly by Bisel. They are too far away from the boat as well making it difficult to step onto the boat. We scheduled to have them corrected and they never showed up or answer our calls and texts. My husband left work to meet the company at our vacation home and they completely ghosted him. We had already paid for the dock services as well. Our platinum Amex opened an investigation to the charges because services was not completed.

Our prior dock installer Andrew Minock sold his business to one of his crew and the new owner/installer could not properly install our dock. He tried, but had made a mess of it, so that the platform was only about 2 inches out of the water and wracked severely when walked on. The installer had left 4 of the legs on the shore (uninstalled) and put one of the shorter legs in a place that needed a longer leg (even though one of the legs on the shore was much longer). It turns out part of the blame for the installation problem was with the type of legs that Andrew had chosen for the dock when we purchased the dock package from him (and our naivety in being inexperienced dock purchasers). There are two types of legs: A more expensive type that can be easily adjusted from on top of the dock and another less expensive type that needs to be adjusted in the water. Andrew's package had the less expensive type, which is very difficult to install in deeper mucky water. In our case, the end of the dock is in 6-foot deep water so that we can dive off it. Andrew had had no problems installing the less expensive legs because he was like a fish in the water and could hold his breath for almost 5 minutes. I've since learned that for most people, the other type of leg makes installation MUCH easier. I discovered this from both the dock manufacturer and John Bisel, our new installer. John has been very professional and helpful. He came out first to look at the messed up dock and give us an estimate. He then came out and removed the dock so that he could figure out what needed to be done. He explained to us the difficulties with installing the type of legs we had in deep, mucky water. We ordered 4 new adjustable-from-on-top legs with wheels from him. He then came out again to install the dock and add a diagonal brace for support. The dock is now functional and more stable in the water than it has ever been before. We also look forward to a good, long-term relationship with John to remove the dock each fall and re-install it each spring. John, thanks!
Description of Work: Uninstalled a poorly installed dock and reinstalled it, and provided better dock legs to make future installation easier.
