Overall I was happy as h***......got a great repaired roof for a fraction of what a reroof would've cost me.

Called BCM to fix some missing shingles, repair flashing and fix the top of my chimney. I could only meet at 5:30 which they were able to accommodate. When I arrived they were ready and waiting for me. At this point it was dark. Brian went up on the roof made an assessment and took care of the missing shingles in the dark as a courtesy. Due to the lack of time left in the day I needed to setup another appointment to for the rest of the work. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service that BCM provided and I would recommend them to everyone.

After having several roofers 'drop by' and obtaining a few estimates, I decided to go on Angie's List to look for other roofers regarding my roof replacement needs. I found BCM, read a number of reviews and decided to meet with them to get an estimate. Brian came out, was very professional and knowledgeable, and provided an estimate for the work to be done. His professionalism, knowledge of the products he uses, along with the numerous positive reviews here on Angie's List, and the competitive estimate that he provided made my decision to select BCM easy. Initially, there was a bit of a delay in starting my project due to some inclimate weather (effects of Sandy - better to be safe rather than sorry), but once the weather cooperated BCM began to work on the roof the following weekend. Once the project started, it took two very full days to complete. They were very conscientious about cleaning up at the end of each day. As the work began the crew was very energetic and completed the garage roof with new ridge vent quickly. They then began work on the house. Brian mentioned the possibility of converting the flat roof over the dining room to a more standard roof, something I had been considering as well, and then took on the task of converting that roof. He also personally worked on and replaced the flat-roof on the second story dormer. BCM did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a new roof or looking to have roof repairs done.

If you are reading this review, don't think about getting the service from this company. Just make the appointment, as they are the best in short story. I had roof leaking problem. Searching for a good company, I spent days on internet, and finally, I've got this company information directly from Angies' list. With given highest reviews, I had no doubt at the beginning. And I was right. Jake was receiving all the e-mails and phone calls to serve the communication line. He was very responsive. Brian came for inspection. I had another guy came before Brian, so I could compare these two folks. Brian was very detail, professional, and was trying to help me with my low budget. Provided the samples, catalog, and explained to help me choosing colors and didn't push me to get more jobs. He stayed with what I had on my budget, and decided to do the partial replacement where the leaking was severe. I will surely go with him again for the remainder of the roof in next two years. Brian and his crew arrived on the promised date, and continued to work for two days in the weekends. Works were done perfectly. Roof looks beautiful (even though only half of my entire roof for now). Cleaned up, and did extra work before they left. Completely happy with Brian, Jake and his crew. Very professional and reasonable price... You will never be disappointed if you go with Brian. Now, I am having the leaking problem from the 65% of my roof that was not yet replaced. Brian came out twice, trying to repair, instead of pushing me to replace them all, as he knows that I don't have budget for now. I will have to ask for his help again until it stops leaking until I can get the whole roof replaced. I will continue to provide reviews with the repair for very low budget. Brian is the real roof guy. I was told he is the 3rd generation of roof guy. His father and grand father worked on roofs as he is doing now... So, who would be the best if he is not the one? Everything was great. They did a good job and the price was fair.

We had other quotes for our roofing project. I was impressed with Brian because his presentation was short and simple; straightforward and right to the point. He wasn't trying to "sell" me - I felt he was honestly representing his services at a fair price. We needed a new roof and he and his crew arrived on time (the trucks were new and shiny clean - it wasn't an eye sore on the street) on the appointed day and did the work as needed. He thought he might need two days to complete, but they finished at the end of the first day.This was our first experience with any type of home improvement project and we were relieved to have such a great experience with a conscientious and professional company. GREAT WORK, GUYS!

12-31-13 It has been a year since our roof has been installed. We had a few heavy rains back in the spring and I noticed that in my cove from my kitchen window that rain water was overflowing out of our eavestrough. I though it might be cloughed but, it wasn't. The gutter has one inverted corner and all the water was collecting there and overflowing not to mention it was missing two hanger nails. I have been in contact with Jake about 4 times through the year reminding him that they need to come out and complete the job. Hope to hear from them soon. 02-01-12 Communication was great since we had a few snow storms move through and had to postpone the work for a few days. Good people to deal with and honest and earnest.

Even though Brian is the owner, he got on the roof with his workers to make sure I received an excellent job. He's the best!

We were planning to replace the roof on my fathers house this spring but high winds caused the rolled roof section to peel off making this a "must do now" project. Of the companies we interviewed, Brian was the only one who actually climbed on the roof to measure and inspect. Others just measured from the ground level with a wheel or tape. Because snow was in the forecast Brian also offered to tarp the dormer section first thing in the morning without adding extra cost. Another company would would have charged us nearly $300 for this. They also added insulation to the dormer section after noticing there was less than should be in place, again the cost stayed the same as the original estimate. The job started and finished on-time and was quality throughout. BCM Home improvement seperated itself from the competition by providing the type customer service that is very much lacking today. Strong recommendation to anyone considering this company.

After having moved into our new home in Shelby, I quickly found the need for a roofing contractor. Being new to the neighborhood, I had already quickly learned to use Angie's List reviewed companies. I found BCM doing a search for roofing and gutter repair. I called and told Jake and Brian of the issues we were having and Brian came out the very next day. He listened intently on what our issues were and then he went up and did his own inspection. The next day I received a quote via email. I found the quote to be competitive. Based on the AL reviews, we moved forward. We are so pleased that we did. Brian's crew showed up as scheduled and masterfully completed the work. The team was both professional and respectful of our property. Even wearing shoe covers. They did an excellent job repairing damaged roofing boards, gutters and soffit wood that had been rotted from years of leaking. They also re-hung the gutter on the 2nd story of the house. The 2-man crew was at our home for the entire day-for $1200 and that included the materials. Last night we noticed a wet basement floor and went looking for the leak. It turns out that when the BCM crew was here, they repaired one of the gutters, without knowing that it had been purposefully shut down (they were not to know. we didn't even know). This repair caused the heavy rains to drain to a downspout that is buried beneath our deck, hence causing the leak in the basement. We called BCM right away and 9:00 this morning (just 12 hours later) Brian (the owner) showed up to assess and fix the situation. No questions asked. This is a company who stands behind their work, has skilled craftsman who are hardworking, is competitively priced in the marketplace and I will happily do business with them again.

BCM arrived at the scheduled time for the estimate. Brian took the time to explain everything. I choose this company after getting other estimates. My roof problem could not wait for nice weather. They did all the necessary work in the bitter cold without any complaints. All my shubbery and gardens were covered with tarps. Clean up was excellent. This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.

BCM Roofing was great. They were very competitively priced, and worked with my schedule (they got 95% of the work done on Saturday, and spent 1.5 hours or so finishing the job up on Sunday). They threw in some free "extras" like some downspout replacements. The customer service was great, and the roof looks great. I would highly recommend BCM roofing!

I saw BCM Home Improvement here on Angies list, read the reviews and decided to give them a call. I explained to them on the phone that I would like a quote for running a vent tube from the bathroom fan out through the roof ending in a vent on the rooftop. They were very professional and schedule'd the inspection at the time that worked best for me. When Brian and his associate arrived they were very professional and spoke of the service and how they were going to go about it as if he does these things in his sleep (which I'm sure these guys probably could). They quoted me $300 and they were on their way. After reviewing the quote with my wife about an hour later, I called them back and scheduled a day for them to come and perform the service. They were able to fit me in within a few days. On the day they came to run the venting, they were on time and fully prepared. They even had nets on their boots so they did not dirty my wood floor and carpet. They were in and out in about an hour or so I beleive, and everything looks great. They did an outstanding job, quickly, at a great price, in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend these guys, they know what they are doing.

After accepting BCM's estimate, they told us they could start on the roof in 2 weeks. They knew we were going away for an extended vacation at the end of the month and assured us the work would be completed before we left. They came early on Monday morning, just as promised, and worked every day for the entire week. They cleaned up after themselves every day before they left. All BCM's employees were friendly and pleasant to have on the premises. The work was completed on Friday, but Brian called me to tell me that evening that one of his men had accidentally gone through the drywall in the garage when working on that part of the roof. Brian and his dad came out the next morning and repaired the damage good as new. The roof looks wonderful and we are so happy we went with the deluxe shingles. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to repair or replace a roof.

I called on a Saturday and left a message. My call was returned in less than 30 minutes. They said they would probably be able to do the leaves Monday a afternoon. They called around 4:30 Monday and arrived about 20 minutes later. I think there were 3-4 workers on the roof . I liked the fact that they were very quiet when they were on the roof. They did a great job.

I had called another company to do my gutter cleaning. They came out to look at my house, and then gave me a quote. I asked them to do the work, and never heard back from them. After waiting about a month, I called BCM Roofing and asked it they could clean my gutters and re-attach my downspout. They came out to give me a quote. The price they quoted was about half the price the other company quoted. So, I was skeptical. They told me they could do the work the following week. They came out a day or two later than they had indicated, but they kept in touch with me to let me know they may be running a few days behind schedule. It was a rainy wet time of year, and I wasn't sure they would be able to get it done. So, I was quite surprised when they arrived with a team ready for work. The BCM team with friendly and professional. After they greeted me, and confirmed what they would be doing, they went to work. They had about 3 or 4 guys working on my house. They quickly got the ladders up and started cleaning each side of the house. I expected questions or complaints about the size of my house, but these guys were professionals that were prepared for the job. They completed the work in under an hour, and cleaned up all of the leaves they had cleared from my roof and gutters. They house and yard looked fantastic when they finished, and the price was what they quoted. I was thoroughly impressed with their service, and would recommend them to anyone.

They were great; just didn't work with our location and timing.

I woke up one morning with water dripping in my dining room. It had been storming for a few days and more storms were on the way. After consulting Angie's List and the BBB website I called two contractors to provide estimates, BCM Home Improvement and another company. The other company's representative arrived first. He told me they could get someone out to tarp my roof that afternoon and do the roof repairs later in the week but I had to sign a contract for the roof repair and all of the interior insurance work as well. I felt very pressured but since more storms were on the way, and it was already starting to drizzle, I signed the contract. They tarped the roof and left. Brian from BCM arrived after work to give me an estimate. He was very nice and understanding when I explained what happened and went on his way. The whole experience with the other contractor was a total fiasco. The tarp blew off twice, the roof repair ended up leaking, so the interior work they had done was completely ruined. After attempting to patch the roof unsuccessfully for the third time the other company told me that they were unable to repair the roof and that part of the roof would have to be replaced and it would cost thousands of dollars. I called BCM to get another estimate. Brian came out, went up on the roof, spotted the problem immediately and came down to show me pictures of the leaking area that he had taken on his phone. He told me he would see what he could do, went to his truck, went up on the roof and patched it up right then and there. He told me that if it still leaked to give him a call. He did the work at no charge. It hasn't leaked since. I highly recommend BCM Home Improvement.

I thought everything went very well. They came to evaluate the roof and gave me an overview of the procedure that was needed to bring that area of the roof back to normal. The price was set at $250.00 which was $50.00 above what I had recently paid another roofer to bang in a few nails and apply some caulk to the area. When BCM came to work on the roof they began by removing a three foot by 6 foot section of the roof right down to the beams. They then proceeded to build that area of the roof back up with fresh wood. Next they applied a special sheet and then the roofing material itself. They also installed a new boot for the vent pipe. There has not been one drop of moisture in that area since. Good professional workmanship! Thanks BCM! James R. Taylor

Fantastic. I knew immediately that Brian and BCM would be doing the job. I had previously met with 8 roofing companies. Our greatest concern was not only putting on a new roof, but properly insulating and venting our attic. One had a two hour presentation on a "forever" roof complete with a 40 page playbook and a price that just kept going lower every time I hesitated. Others were in and out in ten minutes. The majority spent little or no time on the importance of proper attic insulation/ventilation. Brian and Jake arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment. I asked Brian what his company would do to properly ventilate our attic? He explained how important it was to properly insulate/ventilate the attic for the life of the roof. He was courteous and professional, explaining in detail how his company would do the job. He answered every question/concern. He returned a few days later to meet my husband who also had some questions, we signed the contact that day. My husband was very impressed with Brian's professionalism and knowledge. Work was to begin in two weeks. In the meantime, Brian gave us a list of jobs they had completed in our area so we could decide on the color of our new roof. His crew arrived around 8:30 am and completed the job around 5:30 pm. Brian was here the majority of the day. The crew was constantly working, everyone was busy all day. We did have a small problem, our skylights were not the correct size. Brian was beyond apologetic, he was horrified. He took full responsibility for the error, and did not charge us for the skylights. He re-ordered the new size, and they were due to arrive in two days. In the meantime, he left our old skylights in the roof and tarped the area. The crew cleaned up , not only was I impressed but my neighbors as well. Two days later our skylights arrived, Brian and Chris came to install. Brian even cleaned the outside glass. The gutter crew arrived by the end of the week. Brian was on site during the install. They did a great job, installing seamless gutters, gutter guards, downspouts w 2 ft extensions. The gutters finished off the house beautifully. As an FYI, the gutter guards are similar to the ones recommended by Mike Holmes (HGTV), they screw on the front and back of your gutter. This creates a stronger gutter. Brian said "he wants us to be happy with our roof", and that we are! Great work.

I called to have gutters cleaned. Jake gave me a service date weather permitting. A few days after my call, they came out on the appointed duty and cleaned the gutters, replaced the gutter guards, and hauled away all the debris. I wasn't home at thevtime and they left an invoice in the mailbox. I wasn't aware they had been out before seeing the invoice because there wasn't any debris on the lawn. However, I went outside to check and no more little trees growing out go the gutters. Jake had called to confirm the appointment and said I didn't need to be home. We are so satisfied with the friendliness and professionalism that we will definitely call them again. We've had other companies come out over the years but none have been as neat with cleaning up as BCM. I found them on Angie's List and am happy to add to their satisfied comments.

I did not have any work done other than the sides. Brian did an excellent job. He went up on my roof, crawled in the attic, and reassured me that I did not need a roof. He said that he found a nail that was sticking up. He crawled off the roof, got a hammer, and pounded the nail in. I asked him how much I owed him, and he said that it was just a call to check out to see how my roof was doing. He did not charge me anything. I would absolutely consider using him in the future, and I had referred him to a couple of people that I know like my niece needed a roof and asked me who I called. I told her to give him a call, and he did a good job.

Couldn't have asked for anything more of the company. Will definitely call them again in the future. Recommend them without reservation.
