BCM Roofing

The owner, Brian came to my house, was on time and took a look at the roof before coming in to discuss the proposal. During his inspection he discovered several very bad spots on the gable and came down, went to his truck for materials and tools and went back up to temporarily secure the bad spots and to prevent any interior damage. After the temporary repairs were made he met with me to discuss and explain their roofing procedures and system. He also gave me his quote. Based on the thoroughness of his company's system and the Angie's list ratings and reviews I decided to go with BCM Roofing even though they were in the middle of the three quotes I received. The entire job went as Brian explained when we first met. The materials were delivered on time, the crews showed up on time, they immediately got to work taking care to protect the house and landscaping from the shingles they were removing. The job took a couple of days and every evening they cleaned up all areas around the house, rolled all patio and driveway surfaces with a magnet as well as used another large magnet to to collect any nails that may have gotten into the landscaped areas. When the job was completed Brian and I discussed some damage to several bushes and he apologized for the damage and immediately took $500.00 off the price to cover the damage. He also suggested that before I pay for the job that I take my time the following day and give all areas around the house a complete inspection and then if everything is to my liking send him the payment for the job and If I discover any other issues to call him. There were no other issues. From start to finish BCM Roofing did a great job, they did exactly what they said they would do. I would highly recommend BCM Roofing to anyone looking for a great roofing company with exceptional customer service and quality products and workmanship.

BCM Roofing was well prepared for the estimate appointment with a professional looking folder with shingle information, proof of liability and license, and previous projects. The representative was efficient and also took the time to ensure that all my questions were answered. Although BCM was not the lowest estimate, I decided to go with them because of the angie's list coupon and the extra sheets of plywood included in the estimate. Since I had about 20 sheets of plywood replaced, I was glad I went with BCM's estimate. When I called to set an install appointment, I was surprise to find the next available appointment was 3 weeks out, so book early, they are busy. I was told I would get a reminder call closer to the install date, which I did not receive, but the showed up Monday on-time and ready to work. They did a great job communicating to me during the day and cleaning up after the job was complete. I was pleasantly surprise at how spotless my yard was after all the tear-off. Overall, I am very happy with the work so far and they had great customer service.

New Roof. BCM was courteous, professional, and a pleasure to do business with. Crew was experienced and professional. No unexpected surprises. Ask me again in 25 years or so, but right now I am totally satisfied.

The crew showed up on time. They installed the fans and vent covers on the roof. They cleaned all of the gutters on the house. It is a two story 3600 square foot home with gutters on all of the second story and some of the first story porches so lots to clean. They also repaired 4 holes where birds were getting in. When they completed the work I noticed that the holes where the birds were getting into the eves still had a small opening where they could get in. I brought it to their attention before they left They said if the birds got back in just call them up and they will come out and fix it. The birds did end up getting back in so I called. They where great about coming back out. They completely redid the previous repairs using aluminum to cover the holes. It work and the birds couldn't get back in. I have used this company before. You can ALWAYS count on them showing up. You can ALWAYS count on them giving a fair price. You can ALWAYS count on them doing what they say they will and you can ALWAYS count on them leaving the job sight clean.

I called set up meeting time to estimate. Brain was right on time and wrote me a quote on the spot. I did get a couple more estimates which they were all with in range. When I called for the go ahead and complete the job they told me a date and they were right on time. They completed it in the time expected. They tore off the old roof replaced the old shingles, roofing boards, and fixed some rafter boards that needed to be addressed.

All BCM staff were friendly and professional. Whatever they said, they did. The older portion of my home needed a fair amount of replacement wood, for which they did not charge extra. They also patched an area of the garage roof and sealed a window to prevent further water leaks at no extra charge, although these repairs were not part of the contract. Way too many home improvement companies figure they can cut corners and do shoddy work within the city limits of Detroit. Not Brian--he is committed to quality work!

It was a little shaky. I'll explain. Brian was to come to my house on a specific day in the morning. I believe that he told me 10 o'clock. When he didn't show or call by 10:30am, I called his office. The person answering the telephone said that this is a roofing company and since it had rained this morning, Brian would be coming as soon as possible. I said that all I needed was a call to tell me he was delayed. Since Brian was called away to do inspections, the office sent two other men later that morning. They did install the new vents through the roof with a flapper-type product. But they left all the old materials in the attic. They did not know what to do regarding those mice entryways and had to call Brian. Later that afternoon Brian came over and apologized for the miscommunication with the office, removed the old venting equipment and asked if I had paid the men. Yes, I had. He refunded a small portion. I appreciated that very much. He's a young man with many responsibilities. I wish him and his staff all the best.

BCM did a fantastic job. They did the work while I was at work and when I got home I didn't even know that they were there,Except for the new roof. Everything was cleaned up and looked great. Bcm was a pleasure to work with, no pressure sales, a great attitude and the best price of all the places I called. I would recommend to anyone.

They arrived on time (early in one case) and performed the work quickly with high quality. They did an excellent job of clean up. and keep me informed through out the process.

Completely tore off roof to porch and roof over garage, replaced down to the plywood, installed new shingles, zinc strip, flashing, ice sheeting, the works and did the work quickly! They put in gutters for the second story of our home and cleaned the existing- all I can say is WOW they did a fantastic job and for an outstanding price. BCM is a great company- the only difficulty is getting hold of them for an appointment, and I'm assuming that's because they are so busy. Great job, guys! We recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work.

BCM cleaned out my gutters. Overall, they were responsive and professional. The process from quote to service to payment was smooth and hassle free. I'll definitely be using them in the future.

From bid through project completion I was kept up to date and never felt rushed to make a decision. I had all of the opportunity necessary to ask any questions. The only issues I had were delays caused by weather. I would recommend BCM and would use them again for this type of work.

They gave us an excellent quote, were here when they said they would be, and did a great job. Brian and the crew leader (I forget his name) were both excellent. My only complaint, and it is small, is that the guy who put our soffit vents in did so without measuring an exact distance between them. They are weirdly spaced. However, it is in the back of our house and would not be noticeable to anyone but me.

It turned out great. They were professional and had good presentation. They are honest. I got 4 quotes and they were the only ones that put thought into the proper installation. They got the job done in one day.

The quality of work was excellent and the crew was courteous, hard working and professional, completing a large job in just one day. They easily handled a structural repair to the roof that might otherwise have required a separate contractor. There was no damage to any landscaping and the cleanup was immaculate, we found no nails or debris on our property. We would highly recommend BCM to anyone looking for a new roof.

Courteous and prompt scheduling. Received quote for new roof and evaluation of existing problem. Brian was very nice and professional; quote received promptly. Solved the current problem and will be scheduling new roof after rebuild.

It turned out really well. They were extremely thorough and did a lot of extra work. They fixed our bathroom vent that wasn't vented properly through the roof. They were really knowledgeable and they cleaned up really well. They did everything they said they were going to do. I had an good overall experience with them. Their price was right in line with other quotes we got.

Had to wait almost two weeks for a quote and then no one contacted us with the quoted price. I had to follow up with them only to be told I needed to make another appointment to meet with them to get the final quote.

Called on a Monday to set up an appointment for a Friday estimate. Brian arrived right on time. He went up on the roof, inspected what was up there and took the necessary measurements. Told me that the shingles would actually last a few more years but that whoever installed the original roof top vents used incompatible materials causing the shingles in this area to curl & break down. He asked me if I was interested in gutter guards. I was not sure so I agreed to have an estimate done for this as well. Once down from the roof Brian reviewed the materials he typically uses, any warranties and how the work would progress should I decide to go with BCM. I was impressed by Brian's professionalism and he was very easy to talk to. BCM gave the best quote of the four roofers I called and this included more work than the others roofers offered to do (vented two bathroom fans through the roof, installed gutter guards, sleeves over those pipes that come out of roof to keep birds etc out). NOTE: 2 of the roofers who provided estimates never even went up on the roof & their quotes were 50% higher than BCM's. I called on Monday the following week and set a time to have the work done (approx. 3 weeks out). I was told that if there was an opening in their schedule they would try and do the work sooner. Two days later they called back and I ended up having all the work completed that Friday (so, 1 week after the estimate!). The crew arrived on time and worked the entire day. Tarps were placed over decks, plants etc. MANY times throughout the day debris was cleaned up in the yard and a magnetic roller picked up any stray nails etc. A leaf blower was used to clean off all my decks, patio and sidewalk. I was impressed with their professionalism as were my neighbors. the roof looks awesome. The service I received paid for my Angie's List membership MANY time over!

They returned my call for an estimate within 24 hours and had someone out to meet me the next day. Said it would be a couple of weeks before they could get to me but ended up only being about a week. Showed up first thing in the morning, as promised and were done before noon. They explained everything they did, in detail so that I could understand it, and they completely cleaned up all messes. When they left, you could never tell they were there. I would definitely use this company again.

They came out and replaced the roof. They were very neat and professional. Great experience.

BCM removed the existing roof on the house and detached garage and replaced it with an Owens Corning roof system. The crew did an excellent job. They arrived on time and worked very hard all day long. I am so pleased with how it looks and had no problems at all. I was so happy with this company, their work is of the highest quality. Owner Brian Musgrove is a real rarity these days. He is an honorable business owner who genuinely cares about his customers' satisfaction and takes great pride in his work. The company that delivered the roofing materials (Wimsatt) cracked a driveway slab when they drove the truck on it to drop off the materials. Before they drove on it, they asked me to sign a waiver that they would not be responsible if the driveway cracked. I expressed concern but the driver looked at the date stamp at the end of the driveway and said that it should be fine based on its age. Well of course it did crack but I signed a waiver so Wimsatt said they were not liable and they would not do anything for me. I told Brian what happened and he said that he would cover the cost of repair. He said just get an estimate and let him know the amount which I did. I received a check from him right away with a very nice note apologizing for my trouble. He even included an extra $100 dollars above the cost of replacing the slab which was very thoughtful. I was so impressed. He did not have to do any of that as it was not the fault of his company. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a new roof. BCM is a company of high integrity and standards.
