+ -1 moreWhen he came out I found that he wasn't going to flush the downspouts with water, but could tell by tapping them if they were blocked. If blocked he would disassemble and clean them. I was uncomfortable with this, so for $50 additional he agreed to flush them out with water. As an afterthought, I asked him to add a short piece of downspout to a roof section. He said he would but didn't follow through with it. We left while he was working and he completed the job while we were gone. The gutters screens that I could easily inspect appeared to be installed correctly.
Description of Work: Job was to clean and then install a gutter screen device on approximately 250 linear feet of aluminum gutters. He first quoted $908 over the phone, and then called back and asked if he quoted $1350. When told the $908 figure he said "ok, that was probably for cleaning" and agreed to do it for the original quote. This was cheaper than any other quote I got. Earlier, he had quoted $95.00 for cleaning only- also cheaper than other quotes I got.
