HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ... GRADE: F Salesman - "Michael" was disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional. THE ONLY reason after initial contact with Ironmasters salesman that I went with this company is that they were SO HIGHLY RATED on Angie's List and the salesman was a Veteran. My Father said that we should ALWAYS SUPPORT our Veterans! However, in this case I should have listened to my gut! Salesman Michael is also builder of railing man AND the installation man too. When I requested time of installation -- Michael sent me a text advising that he would be 'over to install the railing after he got rid of his hangover' on Saturday. I have the text to prove it. I advised Iron Masters that I wanted another person to install the railing. Was advised that Michael WAS THEIR ONLY INSTALLER. After discussing with Beverly from Iron Masters' office that I was uncomfortable with Michael, she scheduled the install with ANOTHER COMPANY - Scott Ironworks -- WHO WERE WONDERFUL to work with! I was not home when they installed the railing, but my adult Son and elderly Father where home. NOT END OF STORY HOWEVER ... The railing IS THE WRONG SIZE!!! I have called Beverly SEVERAL TIMES regarding the WRONG SIZE for the railing. I have received NO RESPONSE from them to date.

Mike came to our home and gave us an estimate to install a new railing for our front porch steps. He explained the various options well and allowed me to make the final decision. He did a great job with the installation.

Railings look very nice and seem sturdy. Some paint touchup will be needed--to be done in when the weather is better.

The provider, Mike, had come to talk about different types of railings for my front porch in response to a call I made on May 4th. He took measurements and explained the different kinds of railings I could get. (colors, styles, and heights that were available.) I had no idea how many different colors could be had. He said it would take about three weeks as they are custom made. Due to the rain we've had, there was a couple of weeks delay on the install but he actually came on Saturday, June 13 and it was well worth the wait. The railing is absolutely gorgeous. The job was 100% professional and the house looks so beautiful with the railings. I have spent the last 10 years hanging onto the house when going up and down the three steps. Now I can just grab the railing and walk up and down the steps like a normal person. I'm looking forward to hanging Christmas lights come December. I'm over the moon!

The owner, Mike, came out promptly following our inquiry. He took a reasonably good amount of time to measure and lay out what would be needed to replace an old railing that failed. (Not his, by the way) Mike was very professional and communicated to us all the style options he could provide for the installation. There's the benefit of choosing someone who fabricates his own railings rather than try a box store approach. The installation was made by sinking the columns 3 inches into the porch and walk - this baby's not going anywhere for a long, long time. I know who I will call if I ever need any ornamental iron work. Thanks again, Mike!

Excellent. We met and discussed the design options available, agreed on the height dimensions and type of finish and generated a contract with 50% due then and the balance due upon completion. One month later the railings were installed. All the business and install was conducted with Mike, the owner. Very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

They did a real good job

Mike did an excellent job. He was a joy to work with and a perfectionist. I can't say enough good things about Mike and the job he did.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and honesty of Mike, the owner. He removed the existing railing that was 17 years old. Upon removing this railing he noticed the cement was crumbled under the plate that held the railing. He said that he wouldn't put the new railing plate over this broken concrete as it would make the railing unsafe for me. He made a recommendation on how we could secure the railings by moving them to the edge. He also patched up the broken concrete for me so I wouldn't trip on it. I was very happy to see how Mike took his time and very careful to make sure the railings were installed correctly. I would recommend him and his company to anyone and will call him again if I have any more of this type of work to be done.

We tried a couple contractors before going to Iron Masters; one quoted entirely too high, the other was incredibly rude and did not show up on time. Iron Masters was very professional, courteous, and friendly. Not only did they provide a quote well within expectations, but they went the extra mile to get us a nicer looking coating on our rails. Fantastic company, and I'll certainly be using them again for any such needs in the future.

It was a good job and done on time.

When I called he can right out and proceed to inspect what I wanted and explained to me how he was going to it. He took the step rails with him and said it would be about 3 weeks. In three weeks he was back and finished putting my rails up. Very good job. I thought the price was a little high, but my railings were in bad shape and needed to be fixed.

Their estimate came in less than an estimate I received from another company. It was about $50 lower than the last estimate. The job was small, but they were still happy to take on the job. He is a very nice guy. So far, I am very happy with his services as the work is still in progress.
