Description of Work: Dr. Sweep came out to the house for the initial visit and indicated they'd need to come back because of the slope of the roof. Didn't have the right equipment due to the steepness of the roof which was understandable to perform a roof cleaning of the mold which had developed on the back of the house. The roof cleaner came out the 2nd time and performed the work. The roof upon post inspection was only halfway cleaned, and the company asked me to pay $50 above the AngiesList promotion due to the slope of the roof. After a few calls from Dr. Sweep I told them I'd be happy to pay the additional $50, but only if they cleaned the roof in the manner in which they agreed. Dr. Sweep customer service sent out a supervisor first to inspect, and subsequently they agreed to send out the roof cleaner for a revisit to finish the work. A week or so later the roof was cleaned of the remaining mold. I think Dr. Sweep is a good company with good customer service. My personal experience may likely have been an isolated incident, but nonetheless it's the only experience I have to report for the company.

Description of Work: We took advantage of the "$99 Four Hour Special" and had our outside brick completely tuck pointed. It took less than 4 hours, but we were satisfied and the young man found more spots than we had noticed. He was polite and helpful.

Description of Work: This gutter cleaning service was performed Fall 2011. The service tech did a good, thorough job. Members should be aware that Dr. Sweep calculates their charges based on the house square footage...but not the way the consumer understands it. They calculate this based on the roof square footage, which is quite a bit greater due to the pitch of the roof, according to their tech.

Description of Work: Came out 1st time and cleaned gas fire place. Then attempted to relight pilot. Could not light. Said another guy more ecxperience in electrical would come out. Second gentleman came out and was able to get fireplace working. They were going to charge me for a second fee, and I said I didn't think that was right since the first gentleman did not finish the job. They waived the fee. I was very satisfied. I will use them again.

Description of Work: I have a ventless fireplace so he really didn't do anything for me. I can't comment on his services at all. He did nothing here, my fault I guess I wouldn't even be writing this if Angie's List quit bothering me about it.

Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for roof cleaning, inspection and gutter cleaning. Our initial appointment was scheduled for November 16 from 9-12. Conner called at 12:10 to let me know he would arrive within 30 minutes, which he did. He worked until a little after 4 after leaving to go and get fuel for the power washer. He told me that he would return to finish the job. He didn't specify when that would be and left all the gunk that came off of the roof on the ground, in front of my garage, sidewalk, etc. I phoned Dr. Sweep on Saturday and set up another time for Conner to return and finish the job and found out that the average roof cleaning takes 4-6 hours. He was supposed to come on Tuesday after 2, he did not show up. On Wednesday after several phone calls he returned, finished the job and cleaned up but did not clean the gutters. We called and Dr. Sweep and explainged that our Big Deal included gutter cleaning, I had to send them a copy of their own job description. Dr. Sweep said he'd come out and inspect the job and bring someone to clean the gutters. He came out but the gutters didn't get cleaned. He looked around but no explanation was given. In the meantime, it seems a miscommunication occured between Angie's List and Dr. Sweep about what was exactly included in the "Big Deal". Which to be honest should not have been apparant to me as the consumer. Eventually, on December 1, we got the gutters cleaned. The work was satisfactory but the business practices at Dr. Sweep leave little to be desired and I will not contract with them for any additional work.
