Trim service was fine but they cracked my driveway

For the past 4 years, I have been using Camelot at my St Clair Shores house as well as 1 year at my cousin?s house in Shelby Township (this stopped when she passed away). In 2012, I had a small dying red maple in my front yard and an Austrian pine in my backyard that was struggling with a disease. After reviewing all of the trees in my yard, Camelot recommended cutting down the red maple in the front yard, a series of fungicide sprays for the Austrian pine, and trimming some of the other trees. In subsequent years, Camelot has recommended various other treatments and I have deferred to Camelot's professional judgement. This year I received a flyer from Camelot suggesting a comprehensive program and as an incentive Camelot would send me a free soil analysis. Once again, I deferred to Camelot's professional judgement. As of December 2nd, I have never received the soil analysis promised last spring despite repeated calls to Camelot's office regarding the same. At the same time, I have noted several trees and bushes that Camelot has been treating are struggling and I expect significant losses in the spring. For one, the Austrian pine that Camelot has been treating doesn?t look any different than 4 years ago as I continue to lose many needles. In the front yard, I have many issues. The dogwood tree?s leaves started struggling in July and by late August they all shriveled up and turned brown, it is doubtful that the tree will recover in the spring. The west half of the boxwood hedge is turning brown/orange and again I question the health of the boxwood in the spring. Just behind the dogwood are 2 bushes (I am not sure of their name, they are both the same type) whereas the front bush closest to the dogwood lost all of its leaves several weeks before the other bush and again I expect a problem in the spring. I know that Camelot are a worthy company and mean well yet somehow I have been lost in the volume of Camelot's business -- a good example is the soil report which I never received after several months of waiting. I have spent a couple of thousand dollars using Camelot's services and I question the validity of continuing to use Camelot's services when so many things are apparently going wrong. Honestly, what was the point of spending all of this money when the results have been dubious? It is disappointing to me because now in addition to suffering from all of the losses due to Camelot's mishandling of my account, I must consider finding a new trees service Even after I sent a letter to them concerning these issues, I have never received any reply from Camelot.

The price varies for each thing. I had to have my landscape architect supervise the cutting of the trees. I think their prices are reasonable. They are comparable. If I have trees cut in the winter time before a certain time, I get a discount. Now if I call back then they try to correct anything. They try to be responsive.

That went really well and we liked them. They were responsive and they came out quickly. The price was good and they did a good job.

They were very good, but they were expensive. They were very careful about cleaning up afterwards more than I would have expected because I would have expected to sweep some of it. They picked up every little scrap of everything. With regard to price, I thought it was high. With regard to responsiveness, they were good. I would possibly use them again in the future; I would look around some more.

They came at agreed upond ay and time. Work was complete well withgood clean up.

Excellent. I waited till February for the best price. It was a freezing cold day, and they still came out. I offered to move the day.

They are excellent. I'm real pleased with their service and their knowledge of the trees and the shrubs. I was very pleased. They were real reasonable. They have an arborist that works with them. the arborist is very knowledgeable and I can tell from talking to him he knows what he is talking about. I had needle cast disease on my Spruce tree. They treated my Spruce tree for the last couple of years for that and my tree is very healthy now. A lot of the neighbor's trees are dropping needles and the branches are dying. He does preventative maintenance on the trees. My trees stay healthy.

They didn't call to say they would be there to cut the tree down. I was not home and was surprised to see it gone. The tree was dormant and snow was everywhere so when they left sawdust and little twigs covered the driveway and ground. Now that the snow is melting I'm cleaning up the mess. I don't think that they could have done much more while they were here as far as cleaning because of the conditions with the snow. I would use them again, in fact they will come and grind the stump this spring. They did clean up all the logs and branches.

The gentleman who gave me the estimate did not treat me like an elderly female idiot [if you are an E.F. you'll understand how splendid that is!] The work crew arrived on schedule and did a first-class trimming job. They unintentionally missed one of the yews. When I returned home later in the day, I reported that to the office; the crew returned early the very next morning to finish. I was impressed by the immediate response and will use Camelot for all my tree/shrub work from now on.

Due to storms and bad weather, the company took more than six weeks to perform the services once I scheduled the work. Work performed was as advertised and I would use the company for any tree service.

Estimate made by professional arborist. He arrived at the specified time, and was very nice. 4 week wait before they could schedule us. On the day of work, two workers arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional. They cleaned up everything. We did not get other quotes, so I don't know if theirs was high or average. It did seem expensive. Can't afford this every year.

The arborist that came out was very knowledgeable and very nice. He said my trees needed two different types of sprays and one of the sprays that needed was too late to put on spring. So he wrote it up to be done next year in spring. The other one was like mild application and he said that they will send out somebody right away and I didn’t need to be at home for it and I don’t why I didn’t think about it for a while and I was going through the file and I called to check if they sprayed and she said they have scheduled me next week and it was a month already. The next day the guy showed up and I think they forgot about me. They were all nice to me over the phone. He showed me a couple of things on my other plants that I didn’t call him out for but he gave me some information and everything was great. I would recommend him.

When the estimator arrived he was right on time and very professional. He thoroughly explained what would be accomplished and offered a few things that I needed but did not think to ask for. (limb removal) He was very personable and I was impressed. All of the work was done while I was at work. When I arrived home all was taken care of, well, they forgot about a few saplings that were thrown in at the last minute. But when I told them about it was given a reduced price. They cleaned up after themselves spectacularly. I would recommend them to anyone have recommended them to family already.

Called Camelot Tree & Shrub Co for estimate to cut a tree down. They was very professional and punctual. They were a smaller company and the price was competitive but I did not use them at this time.

They did what they said they would do and their price is fair.

They did an excellent job. They were very prompt. The charges seemed very reasonable. This was the 3rd and possibly 4th time I had Camelot take care of my trees. They are an excellent company.

They did a good job. They charged us $50 for an application and they did three applications which came up to $150. They do things safely and they’re good at cleaning up after they’re done. We will use their services again in the future.

I called for a quote when I noticed the damaged tree limb. Someone came out to my house within 72 hours and put together a quote for the limb removal. They also included estimates for removal of other limbs that were over my house and to raise the canopy of both trees in my front yard. (Making the second tree match the damaged tree was only $50.) Given the high scores they had received here and what seemed to be a reasonable price, I agreed to have all the work done. It took about 2 weeks for them to come out and do the work. I should note that I did not need to be home at the time of the estimate or yesterday when they did the work. Everything was conducted by phone and email. Also, they discovered a bee's nest in one of my bushes and left me a nice note describing where it was. It is like I have a totally different house. They raised the tree canopies above the height of my bungalow, dramatically increasing the curb appeal (in my opinion), while protecting the trees and not impacting the shade for my house at all. Plus, setting everything up was so easy. I will definitely have them back out to take care of the trees in my back yard.

At the end of July 2009, a 10" diameter limb fell from my maple onto the driveway for no obvious reason. I asked Camelot's arborist to come out to evaluate the health of the tree overall, as well as give me an estimate to remove the downed limb (I had removed the smaller branches from the limb and moved it out of the driveway). Todd put my fears to rest that the tree was in good shape and gave me what I felt was a very reasonable cost to cut the stub off at the main (very high up in the tree) and to remove the limb. I was expecting the worst, but Camelot didn't take advantage of my emergency situation. There was a bit of a mixup as to when the appointment was scheduled, but I didn't need to be home, so it didn't inconvenience me in the least. When I got hold of them again to reschedule, they were most apologetic and came out the very next day (in the rain even) to get that stub & limb removed. No additional cleanup was required on my part. I also asked for a quote to trim the arbs in the back and for thoughts on my failing Birch in the backyard. I promptly received those quotes and have contracted with them for Emerald Birch Borer injections twice a year. The tree's received two injections so far, and there is new growth to show for it!
