Alex did excellent work. I was always concerned about the draftiness in our house especially our living room. We had replaced our windows, furnace, and roof, as well as had insulation blown in into part of our attic. But I still had to wear a coat and scarf in the winter in our living room. After Alex came in for a blower door test and using and infrared camera to analyze where the drafts were coming from, he told us our heat and AC were going STRAIGHT INTO THE RECESSED LIGHTING. I would have never thought that would be a place of leaks! I had already hired another contractor to come out and replace wood, and negotiated a time that his company could also come out so they could work together on my house. Alex then gave me advice when that contractor did not show up for our dual project to remove wood so Alex could fill it with insulation. Alex showed that he was extremely knowledgeable in airflow and insulation. It has been a month since his company has been out, and I am able to set the thermostat much higher in the summer and still be comfortable since the drafts are gone. And I can walk into one room and I don't feel the drafts anymore! Would recommend this company to anyone looking to get rid of drafts. FYI, it took a few weeks to get an initial consult with this company until I called him on his cell phone. It seemed that the toll free number didn't work so well. After that, doing business with this company was great.

Was looking for quote on rim joist insulation. I messaged the company through the Angie's app on 2/11 and still have not heard from them as of the morning of 2/15. Went with another provider.

They arrived on time as scheduled and analyzed best way to bring in materials then placed clean drop cloths on their pathways. They worked efficiently, not disturbing our family and after removing their materials and drop cloths ensured that no residue was left in our home. I would highly recommend them and in fact are planning to have them quote the new home we are now building.

The project was performed and completed very professionally and on time as requested. We have contracted Alex for multiple projects and have always been pleased with the work. We look forward to working with Alex on all of our future projects.

Alex assessed my needs based on listening to my goals of having a more comfortable living space as well as feedback from the energy audit that he performed. With a limited budget, we came to an agreement on what services would be most effective. He was very knowledgable about the serviced he would perform as well as building processes overall. Communication throughout the project was always easy and prompt. Services were performed on time and as scoped. Alex also helped to guide me thru the "Michigan Saves" program and was very knowledgable about how to get financing and paperwork processed for this program. We were extremely pleased with his work, promptness, knowledge and sincerity. We would highly recommend him and would hire him again in the future. Moreover, additional work needed to be addressed in the house, and Alex coordinated the other contractors with the project he was doing. He also handled the extra paper work involved.

Work was planned in detail and contractor willing to work around my constant new ideas and time frame changes. Work done over 2 days was maticluous. The team was friendly and professional. My home was left perfectly clean after they were done. And they even did extensive paperwork for me to get a large rebate for doing the energy efficiency upgrades.

Just as we hoped,Spray foamed all exterior walls to 3.5 inches and foundation band (floor joist meet walls)also second floor knee wall area.Blow in insulation on knee wall floor to 10 inch thick and batten insulation rolls in attic to code requirements.Second floor exterior walls injection spray foamed to fill area between wall studs.All areas were cleaned up after work was completed.

Contractor was great to work with. Was willing to put up with my constant questions about "what if we do this" or "that". Very knowledgeable and very helpful leading me to the perfect energy efficiency solutions for my home. The updates have already been noticeable on our energy bills and the contractor did extensive work to apply for home energy update rebates for me! The crew showed up on time and worked very hard until the job was done and my house was as clean as when they started. If I need any further energy improvements, I will be calling them back and only them!

DO NOT ALLOW this company near your home or business. I am a totally disable veteran I hired Alex the owner to inject foam in my outside walls and they destroyed my home. Below I listed just some of the things they did to my home. Damage that was done to my house. 1. Cut electrical wire in wall and tried to hide a junction box in the wall with electrical tape. 2. Cut holes in heating and ac ducts. 3. Stained vinyl siding around whole house. 4. Spray foamed master closet and bathroom 5. Holes in walls in master bathroom and closet. 6. drilled a hole in master shower wall. 7. Cleaned his equipment on my driveway and left a huge stain. 8. most of my wife's clothes ruined from spray foaming her closet. 9. Plants that were also ruined by spray foam. 10. Spray foamed electrical outlets. 11. Did $12,000 in damage to my vinyl siding trying to power washed the spray foam stains off it. watch for a web site with pictures of all the damage! HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK THIS GUY IS A HACK! They say they are insured but there coverage is only for 80% of the damages to your home the rest comes out of your pocket. So after weeks of fighting with his insurance company. They cut me a check for 80% of the replacement cost. The owner Alex refused to cover the rest and still wanted me to pay him for destroying my house. I refused to pay him so he had the the nerve to put a lien on my house!! I have setup a Facebook page with picture's, video of all the damage I also will post emails from the owner and his insurance company. Owner spent over 90 minutes with me on different phone calls explaining their services, costs and my options. They arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. They were very polite and we are very pleased with the insulation job. Their email responses were always same day or next day and very polite. Owner also spent time with me after the service explaining other items we could do to save energy.

The owner came in gave us thermal pictures,than came back with a inflated estimate ,nothing to do with $500 insulation only would take off if you bought the whole service which rn in to few thousand dollars.

After several years of brutal winters and the wife complaining of a cold drafty house I decided to have a home energy audit done. I had a friend refer me to Alex from Building Performance Solutions and after reading good reviews on Angie's list I decided to give him a call. Alex was prompt at returning my call and setting up an appointment for an energy audit. After I explained the drafty issues we were having he set up the blower door test along with infrared camera and we went room by room identifying the sources of the drafts in each room. He was extremely helpful explaining that a lot of the draft issues I could fix myself with a quick run to the home improvement store. With the infrared camera we could see all the cold air flow in the attic space and along a majority of the rim joists. Alex was very honest with me explaining what he could help with and what he couldn't due to lack of access to the area. He spent an extra hour talking furnaces and windows with me as we are looking to upgrade both. He explained all the energy saving rebates available as well as financing that is available through the home energy improvement programs. I plan on using Alex for insulating my house and having him be my general contractor for my window and HVAC upgrades which I'm currently in the process of getting quotes based on the contractors he recommended.

Made initial contact as they were doing a residence across the street. I had a multitude of questions and the owner was able to answer quickly and informatively. When I went on line to follow up on what he told me, all his responses were in line with available information concerning his particular product and procedures. There wasn't any high pressure sales, he was available for further questioning about the product and how long it would take to do the job. The estimate was fair, and seemed reasonable. The owner and his crew arrived at the agreed date and time. They went directly to work, laying out plastic and paper throughout the house as the owner warned us of dust from the process. All personnel were polite, clean, dressed for the job. They seemed mindful of the fact that they were in someone else's home and treated everything carefully and us respectfully. They worked quickly and professionally, no horse playing around, no loud, abusive language or talking. They finished a bit quicker than they estimated and cleaned up as much as they could. We did expect some residual dust from the sanding of the holes they patched, but even that was less than we had anticipated. Overall, an excellent group of people, professional, serious about getting the job done and done well. I would recommend them to anyone else who needed or wanted this type of insulation.

It's been an excellent experience. I really like working with those people and they did a lot of work for me. It was the result of their study. Its excellent service. I would recommend them to everybody.

Alex was very professional and understanding of the project at hand. Workers were prompt and professional in dealing with job. All trash was cleaned up at the end of the job basement was left in same condition as when they started. Looking forward to savings on this years heating bills.

Was very professional and was quick to explain every detail. I knew what to expect and how to priorizemy repairs.

They did a good job for insulation. He missed a couple spots on the first visit, I called them and he came right back out to correct the insulation.

They emailed me on Wednesday about the estimate for work. Apparently, my job was too small for this deal. The estimate they provided me was for over $1300, and all I needed was a little bit of insulation. He was kind, courteous, and professional...he just wasn't willing to do what I wanted done.

Alex was profession and courteous during the estimate process. He suggested the exterior insulation but he was not too pushy. My main goal was to determine if my new windows were the site of heat loss or if I needed additional insulation. The heat differential tool they had, could not get an accurate read because my indoor temperature was the same as outdoor temperature. Ultimately I went with a different company for the service.

It went well. It went okay. They cleaned up behind themselves. It was good.

They are prompt and cleaned after themselves.

Alex was wonderful to work with. It turned out that we had to keep postponing the attic insulation since we had a leak in the roof that took a long time to fix. Alex patiently waited until we were ready and then performed the service as we had discussed. We felt very comfortable dealing with Alex; he was extremely professional, explained everything to us in detail and did the work in an extremely timely manner.
