John was great. He was on time and worked professionally. He even took the time to clean out the exhaust fan. The fan and dryer vent hadn't been cleaned in 14 years. You can just imagine how much lint came out.

The owner, John Petrick, was great! Very personable and professional. We used him previously at another home and was happy with his service in both instances.

John showed up this morning at 8:00, which was the time we had agreed upon. Walked him through the house to show him where all the returns and registers were located. Chatted with him for a short time on the process and cleaning procedure. John began to work and when the collector was getting full, he showed me what had come out of ducts. John was very professional and a very nice person to talk to. When he was finished, all the areas where he had to work from were cleaned up and you wouldn't know he had even been here. Will definitely us him again and recommend him to other people.

John did an amazing job for us. He called me back after I left a message and after I answered a few questions he gave me a ball-park quote of $500 based on house size and said my dryer vent was included. He scheduled me within a week. He arrived promptly with his younger assistant and they got right to work. His assistant removed all the duct covers and cleaned each and every one of them before they blew air into the ducts to break up the debris. John took time in our garage which is under my living room (we live in a bi-level)to mark off vent lines so if we had the ceiling insulated they would not cut our ductwork. He also gave suggestions on how to wrap the heating ductwork to save money. They were very professional and spent 3 hours cleaning all the ducts. I got to see the before and after of the large suction machine. The ducts had never been cleaned as far as I know which makes it 35 years. The dirt and debris was gross. I am so glad to have it out. John also redid our basement hallway ducts because he didn't think it was as clean as it could be after he got up there and inspected. And they vacuumed my house when they were done. And the time he spent on my dryer vent went above and beyond. The vent was old and made of plastic which was not up to code. The vent was so plugged that when they tried to clean it the plastic broke. He replaced the old plastic vent with a new aluminum one at no extra charge but suggested that we get the new metal vent work done soon. We are taking his advice. These two do a wonderful, professional job. You will NOT be disappointed. Use them with confidence. Our bill actually came in under the quote at $450. Other companies quoted WAY more than this.

The air duct cleaning went very well. John was professional, tidy, and unobtrusive. I found the price reasonable and better than the price I had from other duct cleaning services.

I thought he did a great job and the job took 2 - 2 1/2 hours. I had totally forgot my original appointment but John was nice enough to come back a couple days later. I called around before this and got other estimates and nobody came close to John's price. Also its nice to know that American Air Duct is a local small business and not some over priced national company.

John and crew showed up, vacuumed up over 75 years of debris (we have a historic home) from the forced air system, cleaned up and we have been enjoying more efficient air and operating costs ever since.

The owner is involved in all jobs. He told me he was employed in heating & cooling before becoming owner of this business. He really seemed to know his stuff about heating systems. He was able to explain a lot about my heating system, which was great, since I am newly single with an older home. He pointed out where blown-in insulation was making it's way into my heating ducts & adding to the dust spewing from my heat registers. He pretty much cleared that old insulation from my ducts, and I have much less of a problem with dust during this winter season. I am very pleased. Very professional, and very worthwhile. The price was very good, an added bonus. I am glad I found this business on Angie's list.

Good service, they called to let me know that they were running behind on an earlier job so things got started a bit late but it was not a problem. They actually charged me $20 less than they quoted because they said it was an easier job than they expected. Overall I was happy with the service and I do notice less dust in my house now.

I couldn't be happier with the overall work! Both John and Zach were extremely professional, friendly, courteous and very pleasant to talk with. John went over the steps he was doing while he was working. John quoted a price of $325-$350 and charged me the lower end of the quote. I would readily recommend them to anyone wishing to have their air ducts and dryer vent cleaned. This was the first time having this type of work performed in my home and I picked an excellent company! John also recommended a couple of other companies to do electric work and carpet cleaning. Because of his outstanding service, I will be contacting the companies he recommended!

The results were amazing. He showed us before and after pictures which were hard to believe. They got into all areas of the house and had pictures to proove it. Even though they had to make holes in the ducts to do their work, they were all repaired in a professional way.

I contacted American Air Duct Cleaners to have the air ducts cleaned in my new house. John called me back the next day, even though he was out of town. John was very friendly and personable on the phone, while also remaining extremely professional; he asked me several detailed questions about my home, and then quoted me a price of $350. On the day of our appointment, John showed up on time, and walked through the house with me to explain everything that was going to happen. He even helped me find the best room to shut my cats in so that they weren't in the way, but also wouldn't escape out the front door while it was cracked open for the air hose. John and his assistant were very clean, and professional. I noticed very little disruption in my normal activities while they were in my home, and they cleaned up after themselves extremely well. When they were done, John's assistant asked if I wanted to see what had been removed from my furnace and air ducts. Of course, I said yes, and they showed me that their entire (very larger) canister was full. Furthermore, they explained that this was the SECOND time they had filled it. John's assistant could not remember the last time they had filled the canister twice, and John said the ducts in my house had never been cleaned (the house was built in 1948). John arrived at my house at 10:30 in the morning, and left at about 2:45 that afternoon. Even though there were more vents and returns on the second floor of my cape cod than he had anticipated, and in spite of the fact that the ducts were so dirty, John charged me exactly what he had initially quoted me over the phone. He also wrote the size of my furnace filter and built-in-humidifier filter on the invoice so that when it comes time to replace those items, I will know exactly what to purchase. John was friendly and professional throughout all my interactions with him; not only would I use his services again, but I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
