World of Floors®

Just had another flooring job done with the folks at World of floor. Larry did a fine job taking excellent care of us. Our job even had a few oddities to it that he was more than willing to work with us on. Don't hesitate to give them a chance.

I loved working with Troy. He was very patient and helped me with decision making. I'm not very good at choosing colors. My home is a new town house through Lathrup. Since it is a new build and limited on what can be done prior to closing I appreciated the time and effort he put into my appointment and even after he had printed everything out I had changed my mind and he gladly went back and changed the paperwork. He really focused on me being happy and satisfied when I left. Thank you Troy!!

It was a great material and design choosing experience with the help of one of their reps, Sunny. The materials are in good qualities. She is also good at color matches, which help me a lot in front of tons of choices.

I would not hesitate recommending World Of Floors. Everyone was great from the measure to the install. It's nice to find a local, family-owned company so committed to customer service. Two thumbs up!

World of Floors needs 6 STARS!!! I have never been disappointed. I wear a lot of different hats in life, so I come as a consumer with a lot of different perspectives and needs when ordering my new carpet, or asking them to repair my exisitng carpet. I order as a busy mom, as a smart consumer and as property manager and homeowner. They cover it all with the customer service and pricing. Let's talk about the installers...I'm in my 50's, and I remember the installers my parents had growing up (nothing to brag about) however WOF installers are almost like artists with what they do....and so polite I might add. And a big thank you to Stephanie who get's all organized on the customer service end or it. Keep up the good work!!!

I made the mistake of going with World of Floors because the price was better than the carpet shop I normally go with. Be aware that the price might be good, but you'll get what you pay for. I had an absolutely awful experience. At first everything seemed ok, but i noticed shortly after the installers left that they did a very poor job of transitioning from the carpet to our new hardwood floor. There were two transitions, on one wall the side of the wood floor had the tongue exposed, on the other there was a flat-sided board. On both transitions no effort at all was made to make an even transition from the carpet to the hardwood. On the flat sided board there was a good 1/2 - 3/4 inch of exposed side of the hardwood, and on the other board they actually tucked the carpet under the exposed tongue. Aside from being ugly this was a tripping hazard for our toddler. I called the office and was asked to send some pictures (which I've also attached here), and was told the install supervisor would be calling me back either that evening or the next morning. I spent a couple days going back and forth and not having calls returned (when he did respond he said he was waiting to hear back from his guys). When he finally called back two days after my initial call he told me he'd need to come take a look because he was sure there must be a reason they'd installed it that way. When he showed up the next day, all he was interested in doing was making excuses and trying to blame the hardwood floor guys for the problem. He said they should have put a different kind of board on the transition with a flat side so the tongue wouldn't be there. This may or may not be something they should have done, I'm not in a position to know. What I do know is that nobody in their company ever raised this as a concern or mention that it could affect the quality of work. The hardwood floors were in place at the time of the measurement/estimate, so someone should have pointed it out if it was going to cause problems. It also doesn't explain why they also did such a terrible job of transitioning the other entryway that DID have the flat-sided board. He made no effort to actually make this right, he just insisted on arguing over whose fault it was. Eventually he stormed off in a huff because "we weren't being very friendly" and said we'd talk the next week. Nobody ever called me back, which didn't surprise me at all based on my experience to this point. Since I couldn't stomach dealing with them any further we had a different carpet company come out to fix the job. When the installer saw the transition with the tongue he said to me "Why didn't they just chisel off the tongue? It takes like 3 minutes, we do it all the time." So clearly this wasn't the insurmountable obstacle World of Floors were making it out to be. They chiseled off the tongue, pulled the carpet back and shimmed it up to be level with the hardwood, Fixing the issue probably took less time total than what I spent dealing with World of Floors after the installation. The new carpet guy also pointed out to me that World of Floors also did a very poor job of stretching the carpet (he said there was no way they used a power stretcher to do it). He re-stretched it and cut off a significant amount of excess carpet. Aside from all the issues we had shortly after the installation, I'm also now noticing that the carpet around the doorways in the other rooms is starting to fray and come up a bit. There is no way I will ever hire these people again. The price was decent, but the quality and customer service were completely awful.

It went well. The sales rep was knowledgeable and patient. He brought a wide range of selections. He took the time to educate my husband and I on the process. The price was reasonable compared to other quotes we received. One of the reasons I chose this company is because he presented his best price without pressuring me to sign a contract. He also didn't need that secret call to the office to lower the prices. The installers arrived on time and work very hard all day. It was only 2 installers and they worked non-stop until the job was complete.

Can't say enough about the fantastic and professional job that Robert of World of Floors did installing new carpet in our home. Professional, honest, careful, efficient and fantastic work! Thank you to Emil and his crew for a job well done! Highly recommend World of Floors for carpet installation and recommendations. They stand behind their work and want the customer satisfied! Robert takes the extra time to explain the how's and whys of carpeting installation. So glad I chose them to do my job. I am a Realtor and see a LOT of bad carpet jobs. Many of the problems come from the bad installation! Do it right the first time because it really DOES make a difference! Thanks again Robert!

We have used World of Floors for two projects in our home in the past a few years, and had excellent service both times. The first project was when we were looking for a large rug to fit our living room. I was able to purchase a roll of carpet, and they cut and bound the edges for me. They did a great job and even bound the extra "scrap" that was left-over on the roll at no cost, giving us two additional rugs! We also recently had a small section of carpet replaced/added in our home, steps and a small landing. Elves measured the area, and it took me less than 10 minutes to choose and purchase the carpet. The carpet installer was on time and very professional too.

Mark and his team recently installed carpet in our basement spare bedroom and did a fantastic job. Professional, courteous, and paid really close attention to detail and made sure everything was completed perfectly. We have more projects coming early next year and we will definitely be calling Mark back. Great work!

Gabrielle installed laminate in the entire house and we could not be more pleased with the quality work that he does. Very reasonable prices and I will definitely recommend this company to other people.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Larry and Gab. They worked very hard for our approval. We chose a floor that we basically had to design as it was installed and both of them were a dream to work with in that regard. showed up early and worked very clean.

I called them as a recommendation of a friend and was pleasantly surprised. I was under the impression that they only sold products in stores. I was happy to find that they run their business in a way that convenient customer better with a large selection of in stock rolls of carpet. This is a great family run business that I encourage you to checkout.

Purchased new floors and carpets on Memorial Day weekend from World of Floors. We shopped all over town, they had the best price on really nice colored floors. The personal service was great. It took 10 days before it got installed, but everything else was perfect and we love our new flooring. Thanks World of Floors!

Just had vinly flooring installed in my new home spa . World of Floors did an incredible job very quickly! Every person that sees it asks or comments how great the floor looks. Highly recommend World of Floors!!!

We had a great experience with Jason and World of Floors. We had new hardwoods and carpet placed in our house. The company had a great selection of flooring, the service was no pressure, and helped guide us to the best selection. From the time we selected the flooring, to the installation was less than 1 week, just in time for hosting our daughter's birthday. The install was great and done ahead of schedule. All in all, this was a great experience and exceeded our expectations.

These guys were pretty great. We purchased carpet from World of Floors and also had them do the install. The installers were excellent. They showed up on time and did a great job. Will certainly be using World of Floors again when I need floor or tile.

We had the best experience with Emil, our designer! We're purchasing a home in Macomb and our builders had us work with World of Floors to pick our carpet, tiling, and flooring. Emil was so patient and thoughtful about my vision for what I wanted to see in our new home. I sent him pictures and he was able to help us pick things out that were within our budget and still achieve our design ideas. We kept going back and forth between products we wanted, and he was able to keep us on track. He also had the eye for things that went together, down to a grout color. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

They did a nice job from A to Z. My wife picked out the perfect color with the help of the sales rap and we are both happy with the new flooring! Will hire again.

We purchased a foreclosure that needed new flooring throughout the house and Emil and his team came through in a big way. The previous owners of the home hoarded cats. Lots and lots of cats that enjoyed marking every single room of the house, including the linen closet. We didn't expect to have floors in until late October or November, but Emil was able to get everything done from bidding the opportunity on a Saturday to completing the whole project finished in 2 weeks. He was confident throughout, which certainly eased our minds, and he absolutely delivered on all of his promises. That is so rare these days. Thank you so much Emil and to all of the guys at World of Floors, you made our home livable! Oh, and the carpet and wood floors are absolutely gorgeous!

My wife and I recently began purchase of a new construction town home in the West Bloomfield area. To select some upgrades during the construction, we met with Emil, our designer at World of Floors. The entire process was a pleasant and professional experience. Emil explained the upgrade options available in a non-prejudicial manner and showed us examples of each. Using his interior design education and experience, he guided us in the selection of carpet, laminate flooring and tile for the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom floors. He clearly had good ideas for color combinations and made solid recommendations. We are very pleased with the selections we made and appreciate Emil’s assistance. We certainly would use him again and strongly recommend him (and World of Floors) to anyone seeking advice on any flooring project or even interior design!

The hardwood floors turned out amazing. The finished product is gorgeous and just what I had hoped to get when investing in new flooring. Ralph and his were work horses. They busted their bums getting a majority of 1750 sq ft of hardwood put in on the first day and the finished job is amazing. Ralph gave us great pricing and I appreciated that there were no curve balls on the final bill! While we had a small hiccup in getting the wood in on time, I appreciated that they were able to get our floors in less than a week after originally scheduled.
