I fired him 5 days into a 7 day project. Didn't have necessary tools, left 2 enormous holes in one wall, lied about a leak, used improper materials, Worked only 1 full day out of 5, normally working just 3-4 hours per day. Told me he intended to fill large gaps in the green board with thin set/ Hooked up my toilet 2nd day he was there, set it on top of the old floor, hooked the water up and left it like that, not on the flange. Quoted me a price then after my floor was tore up came back for another $750 or wasn't going to be able to do the job. Make a long story short-my bathroom is super small, floor is 5x5. basic tub/surround- I paid him $3,000 and when he left, I had no working toilet, the wrong subfloor, no hardie board, greenboard with huge gaps, pedestal sink bas propped up with a piece of wood (that I put under it because he left it literally hanging off the wall and it was sagging ready to fall). 2 huge holes in the wall, no tiles installed and no way to shower. He was also requested to wear a mask in my house which he only did once, spent most of the day in his truck though. His floor joist guy never put one on, during a pandemic, when he was told my husband is immune compromised. This was hands down the worst company I could have picked. After it was already too late, I discovered his positive google reviews (2 of them) from "Rob" are from himself! I could only post 10 pictures. But I have more. He's a nice guy but nice doesn't equal qualified.
